The nation that has sovereignty over the embassy and its property is the nation that is sending its ambassador. The ambassador represents the government that set them. Their responsibilities that they have are to represent the country that sent them.

The things relate to being an ambassador of Christ because we are to represent Christ and we are to be responsible to Christ for what we do.

Q4. (Ephesians 6:20) Developing this analogy of an ambassador in a foreign land... What nation has sovereignty over the embassy and its property? Who does the ambassador represent? What responsibilities does he or she have? How do these relate to being an ambassador of Christ?

When an ambassador is in a foreign land, he represents his state or country. The property that the embassy is on also belongs to the country he represents.

The responsibilities of an ambassador are to represent his country and take care of all those in the foreign land that belong to his country.

As an ambassador for Christ, we represent His Kingdom and all the citizens of that Kingdom. We are also responsible to defend our Kingdom and to disclose the rights and privileges of that Kingdom.

The embassy and it's property is under the rule of the government of the embassy, not the government of the country where it is located. It is considered an oasis in the foreign land. The ambassador is actually a representative of the government or ruling person at that time. This person is responsible for trying to keep peace with the hosting country. They make sure that the citizens visiting the hosting country are treated fairly. They are to keep lines of communication open between both countries.

When we are ambassadors of Christ, we need to share the word of Christ to those that we live among. We need to stand as a beacon. People need to know that they can come to us to be safe.

The nation the ambassador represents.

Who appointed him.

To govern messages.

We are to spread the message of Christ as our savior.

The Kingdom of God is supreme over all, and to think we are Christ’s ambassadors!! What a privilege and responsibility. Being an authorised representative of the Kingdom of God, it is up to us to act as one, and stand up for our Lord. This reminds me of the hymn ‘Stand Up, Stand Up For Jesus.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus, ye soldiers of the cross;
Lift high His royal banner, it must not suffer loss.
From victory unto victory His army shall He lead,
Till every foe is vanquished, and Christ is Lord indeed.
...
Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the strife will not be long;
This day the noise of battle, the next the victor’s song.
To those who vanquish evil a crown of life shall be;
They with the King of Glory shall reign eternally.
Amen.

An ambassador represents his country in the foreign land that he has been sent to. He builds diplomatic, economic ties and ensures the protection of interest of his country. The embassy and the property therein are for his country that he represents (I think).

An ambassador for Christ represents Christ here on earth. He presents Christ to people through his character by being the light of his neibourghood and proclaims the Gospel to the unreached. But I am afraid, I have not performed well in this regards. Lord help me to be your ambassador here and now.

Ambassadorial property and residences belong to the sending country and are given very special privileges by the host country which make them completely off-limits to their host country's law. An ambassadorial vehicle cannot be ticketed, for example. So, if Paul is an ambassador of Christ, he is above and beyond the law of the host country (the world) and is immune to prosecution for breaking the host country's law.

I don't see this in the lives of Christian missionaries or evangelists.

Responsibilities include helping people get passports or entrance into the sending country -- to bring people to Christ and give them a permanent ID in heaven!  Responsibilities also include negotiating between the two countries with the goal of enhancing and increasing the prestige and influence of the sending country (heaven).

This is a simple way of thinking about my duties as a Christian: I am HIs ambassador representing HIs kingdom who has some sort of indemnity to earthly laws and powers that I use to give passports to heaven.

I just realized this was the last question of this study so want to say, "THANK YOU" to pastor Ralph for such a wonderful, in-depth study. May there be many, many more. This, dear Sir, is your ambassadorial work. You are bringing those of us with passports further into the kingdom. You are bringing some people into the kingdom for the first time.

Thank you for being an example of how to represent Christ as His ambassador.

Host country has no control over an embassy.  An embassy is like a mini country. An ambassador represents the country, he or she is the country's legate.  Paul had an entreating ministry.  He knew that he was called by God to preach the kerygma.   It wasn't just another religious movement; this was truly a momentous time, the New Covenant is being proclaimed.

We are called to be ambassadors for Christ.  We are called to a royal priesthood, an Holy nation, a peculiar people and a chosen generation.   What fitting theme!  It fits in with the teaching in Ephesians 1:4.  Being chosen before the foundation of the world, and to be adopted as children of God. So being as an ambassador for Jesus Christ is our divine calling.

The nation that has sovereignty over the embassy and it property is the notion that occupying it. The ambassador represents the nation in which they come. There responsibilities is to answer to the nation that they represent. We are also responsible to Christ for the things that we do here on earth.
