  1. Jesus is Lord over my life. I see Jesus as my master who has the right to guide and direct me to go in the right direction and if I am not in line with something, then he will correct me to help bring me back in line with his word. I usually come to him everyday to learn something. It may be something new or even just going back over something I need to hear again. I receive his teaching with gladness in my heart I love to receive truth. I'm opened minded to what the Lord wants me to understand. I'm teachable to what Jesus wants me to understand.
  2. The disciples used the authority they had been given from Jesus to heal and cast the demons out. Yes we do have that kind of authority its not just for the Apostles. The church can heal and cast out demons to in Jesus name. When we are speaking and praying in Jesus name that is as though Jesus himself was saying it. The responsibility is not to be taken lightly. We need to be assured that we are always lining up with the word and being led by The Holy Spirit when using his name. Sometimes we can be afraid because you might be going in unfamiliar territory. In a situation a person may not have encountered before. That can be scary at times for a person. Sometimes it can be fear of other people, making a mistake, being afraid that what we are saying in his name is not going to work. Sometimes it's natural human fear. It could also be the devil trying to place fear in our heart. I believe hearing his voice through his word and in our hearts about a specific situation can definitely help take away fear when we are needing to respond in a situation. That voice of love and confirmation in out hearts can help us do many good things for the Lord. It can help us get out of our comfort zone and be bold when dealing with others. Be bold, loving, and compassionate. That's what Jesus wants.
  3. When I pray in Jesus name that gives me the authority and right to get answers to my prayers according to God's will in his word and how he wants the situation answer. I don't have confidence without Jesus name. Yes I always use Jesus name in prayer. I wouldn't feel that assurance if I didn't. Well when I pray I have to make sure what I am praying for is in line according to his word and then I have that confidence that I can come in Jesus name and receive an answer.God has been faithful to give me an answer. Especially concerning my own life and some things I have asked about other people in order to better understand some things or trying to help them. It might not come when I want it may take awhile on some things, it might come in an unexpected way but I get an answer. We just have to go by his Word and how The Holy Spirit leads us. Going by the Word and The Holy Spirit is the right way to get answers and using Jesus name.
  4. Since Jesus is our Lord and Leader and we are following him then it is only natural that we to might go through some of the same things that he went through if we are truly following him. The world is not always friendly to Christians just like people were not always friendly to Jesus. Yes I have seen an example of this sometimes when The Lord has given me something to say specifically to another (in love) sometimes the person didn't want to hear it. The person was treating me as though I don't know what I'm talking about. I'm younger then them how could I possibly know and the person is not even Christian themselves. I know it was from the Lord what I said and it was scriptural. It doesn't always feel good to be rejected but it's a part of life when you follow Jesus. So I just have to continue to pray for the person. That their hearts will open to receive. If not from me then from someone else. An action that might show a person is ashamed of Jesus is not wanting to speak to others about him. Being afraid of what man thinks, parents thinks, friend thinks. Jesus made it very clear that we have to choose him first before even family if it came down to it. We still love the family and friends but still will have to side with Jesus first. Also not wanting to stand up for truth in the world. Again, just being afraid of man. An action that will show someone is not ashamed is boldly speaking about Jesus no matter the cost. Even if we look foolish to other people. Even if others don't want to be around us afterwards we still stand with Jesus.
  5. We will be able to eat with our bodies. Recognize by others, be incorruptible and full strength. I think we need resurrected bodies for one reason we will be living in the physical realm on the new earth. No more death and destruction so we need a new physical body that is able to handle that. Also a resurrected body that can navigate also the spiritual realm when needed. I'm not sure what we all will be doing but I know it will totally awesome and cool. I love the fact we will be on a new earth in an incorruptible body. The earth really is a lovely place and will be perfect with the new earth and God almighty living in it. Awesome and Exciting.
  6. For those of us who are Christian, we are truly waiting on the inside for us to have our new bodies. We truly are waiting for the resurrection at the last day. Deep inside we all know no matter how much we enjoy this life it is not the fullness of what God has promised us. Our hearts are truly waiting for that resurrection day. Our new bodies will be imperishable, it will be raised in glory, it is raised in power and it is raised a spiritual body. What Lovely and Wonderful Promises.
  7. Christians go to be right with the Lord after death. They do not soul sleep. Saints in heaven are awaiting the resurrection of the dead. Those who are still alive will be caught up with them. Paul was ready to go be with the Lord but at the same time he wanted to stay on earth and fulfill his mission.
  8. No matter what is going on in our life we must not give up. We have alot to look forward to in eternity with a new resurrected body and a forever life with God. There is nothing to fear with what is going on in the world because we have a greater hope and life to come. So we need to hang on and finish our race. Our labor is never in vain for The Lord. It might look like nothing to someone else but anything done truly for The Lord is precious to him no matter how little it might seem. We are not wasting our time.
  9. Because Jesus has been resurrected to a forever life and he holds the keys of death. It is definitely a precursor to our own resurrection that is coming that is how I know that I too will be physically resurrected. The first fruits and the firstborn means that he is the first to experience those things as The Son of God. He is the prototype that we will follow after with our bodies being resurrected. But also I want to add we follow after him also with our character becoming more like him. He is the first and perfect model of right character.
  10. Because we have the full guarantee because Christ lives we live. We have that assurance that we have been truly forgiven through Jesus sacrifice and resurrection. Jesus is at the right hand of God and is the Great High Priest that went before us that also gives us confidence to. If we don't believe that Christ has been truly raised from the dead then we have no hope because Jesus is our only hope and assurance for eternal life with God.
  11. Jesus was giving up this life to The Father and he knows that it is life beyond death. That this is not the only life. This let's us know that when the time comes when we have finished our race, it will be ok to let go of this life on earth. There is a far better life to come. There is no fear because Jesus conquered even death for us. We will have eternal life. This is the comfort this brings.
  12. Jesus gave his life for this world so we can have eternal life. We can learn from Jesus that we need to fulfill the destiny that God has for our lives. We need to be obedient to the Lord in whatever he is asking us to do because there are other lives depending on the gifts he has placed inside us. We want to finish our race just like Jesus did.
  13. Honestly, After thinking about it, I will have to say all of them. All of it is just miraculous to me. Jesus revealing himself to all those people after his resurrection. The undistributed grave clothes. Why? It's just awesome to see how God does things. He just doesn't do things the way human beings would have done it. Yes I could explain to a friend by the scriptures. The scriptures gives an accurate account and My heart. God has convicted my heart that this is real. It's not something that's coming from intellectual knowledge or I'm trying to understand this through science or what I can see or feel. It's been planted in my heart. Only the Holy Spirit can give one a true reality that the resurrection is real. I have a supernatural revelation of the truth through the scriptures opening up to me and God speaking directly into my heart. Wonderful
  14. The disciples were already discouraged. The disciples had no reason to try to play some sort of game stealing Jesus body or trying to deceive people. They changed after they had found Jesus was resurrected. Only real true facts would bring about that type of change in the disciples. Men can lie and play games but why would the disciples risk their life or give their life up for a lie or some sort of game? No they would not. The resurrection was real.
  15. Because human beings have a hard time believing in things that cannot be explained with the physical senses. Alot of people like to believe in science and science alone. I love science it's very cool but everything can't be explained with science. There are supernatural things that has happened and that are still happening that cannot be explained with science. Also the liberal Christian scholar has narrowed their mind. It can be hard for someone to believe for the impossible.
  16. It shows me that Jesus was determined to fulfill the scriptures all the way to the end. It was prophetic fulfillment. Jesus was determined to do The Father's will. He didn't get angry. He accepted his destiny and fulfilled it. Jesus shows us what it means to be faithful to God. It tells us that Jesus suffered beyond what anyone can imagine. That Jesus suffering was Very real. That this was not a game he was playing and he suffered beyond what any of us have suffered. It shows us that we to should be determined to finish our race as well
  17. It shows that Jesus was faithful even to the point of separation from His Father. It is beyond imagination of what Jesus must have felt at that moment. Jesus was Totally committed to The Father's plan. He was also totally committed to us by going through what he suffered. The effect it should have on our lives is that we should display that same amount of commitment to God's plans. God's plans never fails in our lives if we put our faith and trust in him.
  18. John was the disciple whom he loved and he was the one that was at the cross. It tells us that Jesus cared very much about his mother and how well she will be taken care of when he is gone. We are called to care for our parents regardless of what they did or didn't do right. Jesus understands being misunderstood but he still loved his parents and cared for them.
  19. Because the thief saw something that many others could not see. He saw the Messiah being taken to death and that Jesus was innocent. Though he deserved to be up there he knew Jesus did not. That took great faith to believe that. The thief received everlasting life with Jesus. He was going to paradise with Jesus. He will spend eternity with his Lord Jesus. I believe this meant alot to Jesus. Watching a thief with so much faith in him I believe in the end that made his day in a way. That The Father gave him that at the end. It brought Jesus great joy!
  20. Everyone was responsible for killing Jesus that rejected him but at the same time even those who followed him was still responsible. Even if they did not really understand that. We are all responsible even though we were not born yet. It is our sin and rebellion that brought him to the cross. So Jesus in that sense was praying for all of us. All of us are guilty. We could never do enough good works to make up for our sins. We all needed a sacrifice which was Jesus.
  21. The resurrection was when Jesus body came out of the tomb and he appeared alive to his disciples and people and it will not die again. The resurrection was Jesus victory over death. He conquered death. The ascension happened after the resurrection and he went to be back with the Father at his right hand. In the end he conquered death and went back home to be The Father. That completed the resurrection. He died, save us, and went back on the throne as God Almighty. Awesome.
  22. Jesus could still eat food with his new body. He could walk and talk and it was still flesh and bones. It's really awesome because he was able to be on the physical realm but wasn't limited to the physical realm. That's really cool.
  23. Any differences that I have seen such as the appearance to the women can be accounted to the accounts still being legitimate. Sometimes when something sounds so perfect it can make a witness to something sound fake. It can actually make people question how legitimate it is. The differences can actually and does make it sound more creditable. Humans can perceive things in different ways but it doesn't mean a person was telling a lie.
  24. Jesus was the sacrifice that we needed for everlasting life. Anyone who truly accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior will physically die in this life but will live in the life to come. Jesus is the only way to everlasting life. Nothing else will give that. Jesus will raise them up on the last day. Jesus is also the righteous judge. that's the role Jesus will fullfill.
  25. Rewards are coming for the righteous. Also the righteous will get to spend eternity with Jesus on the new earth. It's an awesome thing. The unrighteous really needs a revelation of that and accept it. Who would want to spend forever away from God? But yet people chooses it out of their own free will. Rewards are coming to those who truly love and lived for The Lord.
