  1. Q2. (1 Corinthians 10:12-13) What about our human make-up causes us to face temptation? Pride ourselves on our knowlege and spirituallity. What does this passage teach about our temptations? The only temptation that has come to us is that which everyone has in common to human life.(The wrong desires that comes into your life aren't anything new and different. What does it teach us about God’s help in temptation? God he will not permit you to be tempted more than you ca can stand. He will also give you a way to escape so that you will be able to stand it.
  2. Q1. (1 Corinthians 8:1-8) The "liberal" Corinthians had ready excuses for why it was okay to eat with their friends in feasts held in pagan temples. What were their excuses that Paul combats in verse 1-6? 1) The knowledge ("they know it all") 2)Idols is nothing at all in the world 3)There is only one God the Father who created all things and for whom we live and one Lord Jesus Christ through whom we live. Sometimes we excuse our own questionable behaviors. How can we assess the validity of our excuses? Aligning it with the word of God What effect would observing your behavior have on new Christians? He will become bold enough to do it too although all the time he still feels it is wrong.
  3. Q4. (1 Corinthians 5:9-13) According to this passage, with which sinners should we be willing to associate? With unbelievers Why make a distinction between unbelievers and believers? The unbelievers they dont have the life of God within them, the prince of this world has blinded their eyes, we need to win them to Christ. The believers they. Have the life of God within them they know the truth, they are disobedient. What are the dangers of associating with unbelievers? 1john 4: 5 says: These men belong to this world, so, quite naturally they are concerned about worldly affairs and the world pays attention to them What are the dangers of associating with unrepentant believers? Rember the antichrists they went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us they would have remained with us.
  4. Q2. (1 Corinthians 5:2b-5) What are levels of correction and discipline short of excommunication? First we should invite the elder to look at the matter and then we can include the person who is responsible Who should exercise that kind of correction? The elders of the church but I think that is the responsibility of every church member who is burdened What do we do when a sinning member repents? I rejoice Why is excommunication sometimes necessary? For the members to repent and mourn about their sin Why are we so unwilling to exercise it in our day? Because we are scared of loosing our members not realizing that we are destroying the churc of Christ.

Sin makes a man proud, it makes him ignorance, it makes him feel as if what he has done is not wrong and to continues doing wrong What does this say about their value system? The is no discipline among them
  6. Q2. (1 Corinthians 4:3-5) Why doesn’t Paul care how others judge him? Who they are to judge. Mat7: 3-4 Why doesn’t Paul judge himself? God is the judge over every soul Why are our motives so important in God’s judgment process? Because God will give to each one whatever praise is coming to him Do you see God as a harsh judge? Not at all An easy judge? Not easy but accordingly to our works Why? He looksa deep down the heart
  7. Q1. (1 Corinthians 4:1-2) In what sense is a Christian worker a “steward”? By entrusted with God's secret things (distributingh God's blessings by explaining God secrete. Have you ever met a Christian worker who wasn’t faithful? Lots of them What effect did this have on the church? The churches looses the members On this person’s witness. What are the reasons we are sometimes unfaithful in ur area of ministry? Christianity is about Christ himself, unless we allow him to be in control of everything, the flesh will always fail us. What can we do to remedy that? Jesus is remedy, when he die his life was imparted to us so that we won't struggle with the body of sin anymore
  8. Q4. (1 Corinthians 3:17) Division and church splits injure people, especially tender new believers. Why do you think there is such a harsh punishment for those involved in hurting Christ’s church? Because God's is sacred What are better ways to deal with differences in the church? Mat 18:15 Jesus said if your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won him over.Therefore, the issue is not how much loss you have sustained. If your brother has offended you, and the matter is not cleared up, he will not be able to get through to God; there will be obstacles in his fellowship and prayer. This is why you have to admonish him. If some offenses will indeed stumble your brother, you must point out his fault to him while he and you are alone together. Anything that should be dealt with must be dealt with carefully. You may let the matter go easily, but the other party may not be able to get through like you.
  9. Q1. (1 Corinthians 3:1-3) In behavioral terms according to these verses, how would you classify yourself in terms of hunger for the Word? I am still a baby christian, who allow myself to be controlled by my own desires. I am too ignorent towards the word of God. In terms of jealousy and quarreling? – infant, child, teenager, adult? What will it take for you to grow to the next stage? Reading this passage make me realise that i have a confession to make, and to repent from my sins. The word of God says if we confess our sins He is just and faithful to forgive our sins.

How does having the Holy Spirit “circulating” through our minds explain spiritual gifts working through us? By clearing off the old mind, the natural heart cannot be improved upon it has ti be removed and replaced. 2) Break up your fallow ground being concerned aboutabout the falllowness of your heart and mourn over you situation let it touch your heart not your face. 3)cleanse and renew your mind the word of God is God's instrument for cleansing and renewing our mind. 4) feed and fill your mind with the word of God, let the word of God dwell in your heart richly in all wisdom make no room for the flesh. Set your heart, mind and body to know and to please the Lord at all cost, let that be your goal your only goal in your life, let it be your persuit.

He could have robbed the cross with its power - he could have reduced what the cross has achieved for us. What is the danger of “repackaging” the message? No one will be saved. What does it mean that Paul relied on a demonstration of the Spirit’s power? We are to depend on the guidance of the Holy Spirit

By the indwelling of the Holly Spirit within us.(By His life being made manifest in our lives, living His life out of us. How far do these go to lay the basis of a truly Christian philosophical system? only if we allow Him and surrender our lives completely to him

They are ignorant and the god of this world has blinded their mind To what degree can we help bridge this gap through careful and creative presentation? By proclaiming the truth and their implications as it is. To what degree might that be “watering down” the gospel? Until they are saved Why can’t we escape the tension between culturally-relevant communication and changing the essence of the message? The message we bear contains the power that can set people free and open their eyes

  15. Q3. (1 Corinthians 1:8-9) What gifts does God give us to ensure that we’ll continue in faith until the end? God he has given us his Son as a gift, in Him are hidden all treasures of wisdom and understanding. It is only if we dwell under His word that we will continue in faith. Why does each require our active participation to receive its full benefits? Isa 55: 10-11 Rain and snow fall from the sky and dont return without watering the ground. They cause the plants to sprout and grow, making seeds for the farmer and bread for the people. So is my word that goes out of my mouth, it will not return to me empty, but it willaccomplish what i desire and achieve the purpose for which i sent it. Which do you need to enter into more? Fellowship and to walk in the light
  16. Q2. (1 Corinthians 1:4-7) How often do you thank God for the blessings of those who don’t like you, or of your actual enemies? I dont remember thanking God for those who dont like me, thanks a lot Pastor i have never thought of this. What does it say about Paul that he thanks God for the gifts of those who are at odds with him? Paul he was a leader indeed What specifically does he thank God for about the Corinthian believers? Because they belong to Christ Jesus, in Him they have been enriched in every way, in all their speaking and in all knowledge.
  17. Q1. (1 Corinthians 1:2) “What does “called to be holy” or “called to be saints” mean? As we have been reedemed from the power of sin, we are to consecrate ourselves, not to be shaped by desire or the **** of our hearts but to keep the decrees of God and follow and obey them. What is a saint according to the Bible? A saint is a believer who is in Christ Jesus and whom Christ Jesus dwells wether in heaven or on earth. Why is it so comfortable for us to say, “I’m no saint”? Because we dont know who we are in Christ What is expected of a person who has been set apart as the personal property of the living God? To trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding, in all my ways to acknowledge Him. Prov 3: 5-6 and psalm 127: 1 What kind of behavior does the world expect of those who claim to be followers of Christ? The world expect perfection from us.

Exodus 40 v 9 Then you shall take the anointing oil and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it, and consecrate it and all its furniture, so that it may become holy. For the sick to become holy. What is the role of the prayer of faith? If you have faith when you pray for sick people, they will get well. What is the role of faith? Have faith in the word of God and all thing will be possible to you. What is the role of confession of sins? The unconfessed sin hinders our prayers

If you have faith when you pray for sick people, they will get well. The Lord will heal them, and if they have sinned, he will forgive them. About our patience? be patient until the Lord returns

Yet you are stupid enough to brag, and it is wrong to be so proud How can we be humble in our planning without being indecisive and wishy-washy? Only if we let Christ to live His life in our body, we will always wait for Him to lead us

You will be regenerating your spirit What kinds of ministry are most conducive to imitation? Why is the character of the mentor or leader so important to the health of the church? If the leader or a mentor are disobedient, the church will lose members and it does not help for those who need spiritual growth. How well do people grow in Christ who aren’t part of a Christian community? No one will grow well without fellowship with others, there are people who saying they are better without church they are deceiving themselves In what way is your character important to your family and spiritual children? In my family i am the one who is born again, my character is very important because i am the one who had to draw them to the Lord, 1peter 3 v 1-2
