  1. 2Samuel 11: How can a "man after God"s heart"do something so ugly so despicable as this-first adultry and then murder by proxy to cover it up? When Eve she was tempted, Eve made a judgment in her will, which was: (1) "that the tree was good for food." This is the "**** of the flesh." Her flesh was touched first. (2) "It was pleasant to the eyes." This is the "**** of the eyes." Her body and soul were also deceived so as David when he was looking at Bathsheba. What does this teach us about our human condition? Colssians 3v5: put to death,therefore,whatever belongs to your earthly nature. What is our problem as human? We allow ourself to be controlled by our human nature. How can David ever recover his intergrity after this? REPENT

  3. The Davidic kingdom did end in 587 BC – temporarily. How did God fulfill his promises in the Davidic Covenant? In what ways is it fulfilled in Christ? Psalm 2 7I will make known the words of the Lord. He said to Me, “You are My Son. Today I have become Your Father. 8 Ask of Me, and I will give the nations for you to own. The ends of the earth will belong to You. 9 You will break them using a piece of iron. And they will be broken in pieces like pots of clay.” THE LORD JESUS HE IS THE KING OF ALL NATIONS

How did God discipline David and his descendants? 1 Kings 11 v So the Lord said to Solomon, “You have chosen to break your agreement with me. You have not obeyed my commands. So I promise that I will tear your kingdom away from you and give it to one of your servants. 12 But I loved your father David, so I will not take your kingdom away from you while you are alive. I will wait until your son becomes king. Then I will take it from him. 13 Still, I will not tear away all the kingdom from your son. I will leave him one tribe to rule. I will do this for my servant David and for Jerusalem, the city I chose.”

  6. Q1. (2 Samuel 7:1-7) Why is Nathan so quick to give David approval to build the temple? For the Lord is with David (Flesh is always quick to respond) What should have Nathan done instead? Ask the Lord What is the danger of leaders and followers too quickly approving major spiritual directions without really waiting upon the Lord? It is a fall. We must always wait upon the Lord David’s heart is partly right about building tlhe temple though. Which part does David have right? the material for building the temple

The Levites they were the one that has to carry the ark 1 Chron 15 v2 Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever. How are Uzzah and David responsible if they don’t know the provisions of the Mosaic Law? the thougt they could do it without God What does David’s mistake in this incident teach us about seeking to do God’s will? David he never do anything without God's approval What would have happened if he thought he knew how to attack the Philistines, and didn’t inquire of the Lord the second time? He could have lost the battle like Saul Why do we often want to figure out the process so we can act independently, rather than wait on God as a way of life? It only mean one thing: WE ARE SO IN THE FLESH we still depending on our own strength. What does that say about God? Isaiah 30 v1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: God want us to depend on Him in everything What does that say about us? Learn from David. engage God in everything

It has been at least 15 years since David has been anointed by Samuel Why did the fulfillment of God’s word take so long? God prepare a man first before He can use him How would you evaluate David’s patience concerning this prophecy that he would be king? David he was always standing in the promise of God. He never doubt the prophecy How would you measure your own patience concerning what you believe God has promised you In the past year everytime when challenges come i struggled to overcom them. The people might think he was behind Joab Why do you think Joab is so blind? He follow his lower nature How can our spiritual blindness get in the way of God working out His plan in our lives? Isa 59 v 1-2 Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear.2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.

How does he remember Saul’s life? v 19 The beauty of Israel he said How the mighty have fallen! he remember him as a shield for Israelites How does the Chronicler remember Saul’s life? Someone who never obey the Lord who rebel against the Lord who never repent even in the last day he rebel How do you think God evaluates Saul’s life? He loved him v 14 of 1Chronicles God was still waiting for Saul to ask his guidance how the battle look like and for protection. What do we learn from this? Saul strory is piercing me inside, I dont understand why REPENTANCE is so dificult while God is so merciful.

"If David hadn't made us go north with our Philistine enemies, this wouldn't have happened," Why is the situation so explosive at this point.   16. (1 Samuel 28:7-14) Why do you think God condemns occult practices of communi-cating with the dead and channeling spirits of the dead? God new that we will end up worship the dead. In Africa most of people worship the dead thinking they are the ones who protect them and give them jobs, food etc. What they do they will slaughter an animal to thank their gods How might such practices open Christians to victimization and oppression by evil spirits? Esaia 30 v 10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: 11 Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. Once you get involve in such practices you will only want to hear what you want. What should you do if you’ve been involved in such practices in the past? I have been involved in that for a very long time. I saw the useless of it and i will never go back in that situation again (I HAVE REPENTEND)
  17. (1 Samuel 24:12) How do we apply the principle of not lifting a hand against the Lord’s anointed in our day? Everyone is going through challenges. Gal 6 v 1-2: Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. What provisions are there in 1 Timothy 5:19-20 for calling leaders to account. Tell those who sin that they are wrong. Do this in front of the whole church so that the others will have a warning. What do you think God will do to those who slander, persecute, and martyr his appointed leaders? God will judge them

Like an old proverb says, “Only evil people do evil things,” and so I won’t harm you. if David were an evil doer, Saul would have been long dead. David was obedient man. What motive do he and his men have for killing a king who is trying to kill them? David was only running away from Saul he was saving his life What is David’s rationale for sparing Saul? He said to his men, “It would be unthinkable for me to raise my hand against His Majesty, the Lord’s anointed king, since he is the Lord’s anointed. What does this tell us about David’s character? He was humble, loyal to his master and obedient About his faith? He never depend on his own strength, he was always looking up to God for His mercy. What does it say about David’s leadership ability that he is able to dissuade his men from killing Saul? This is the kind of leadership we must have in our congregations. It is only when the leader is honest and loyal, humble and obedient where he can dissuade his men not to follow the wrong doings and the will listen to him.

All of them What does this tell you about David’s relationship with God? Father and son relationship. This is how the Lord Jesus relate with the Father. What does this tell you about his faith during trials? David has a very strong faith. he never depend on his own strength. Which is your favorite among these psalms? Why? All of them. David new to whom must pour his heart, to whom he must run to. God was everything to Him (my prayer is to learn from his example to have a heart after God to be humble

Every time when we are in distress God is sending someone to strenthened us. that is why Jonathan was there to encourage David (send by God) What risk is there for David? David was afraidbecause Saul had come to kill him at Horesh in the desert of Ziph. What risk is there for Jonathan? Also for Jonathan Saul nearly killed him. What do you think it meant to David? A friend in times of distress it means a lot. Jonathan was a real friend Have you ever received a visit from a friend when you needed it most? Yes

David was obedient to Lord. Isaia 30 v1-2 The Lord declares, “How horrible it will be for those rebellious children. They carry out plans, but not mine. They make alliances against my will. Everything he did he knows he must put God first What huge advantage does the person have who seeks God’s will before acting? You will never go wrong in everything that you do How can you find God’s will at key points in your life? It is only by walking daily according to His will
  22. (1 Samuel 22:2) Why were David’s men attracted to him? The anointing draws men to you What did they have in common? Some were in trouble, others were angry or in debt. They were all Saul's ``enemy``s What kind of men were these? Soldiers What difficulties do you think David probably had in leading them? Others were angry full of revenge and David was not in the spirit of revenge so guiding some men with so much anger it was his difficulties

I think David's chief motive for marrying Michal it was obedience to Saul's desires. in verse 1 David and Jonathanbecame best friends. Jonathan thought as much of David as he did of himself. verse 3 Jonathan liked David so much that they promised to always be loyal friends.(this is the love that is was mentioned in the whole chapter) no other verse that mention David's love for Michal. the enemy is using everything to trap us, as this was the the trap for David he fell on it. (not because he loved her). David he was not a not a proud man. he was not in love with Michal and it was not enjoyment in killing Philistines. David was obedient
