Because they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel Do you expect Paul had talked with Peter about this previously? Yes How did a public discussion of this benefit the Jewish Christians? To know the truth and where they stand How did it benefit the Gentile Christians? Now they know in Christ they are one. What kind of pressure do you think this put on Paul? Loose what he has worked for
  2. Q1. (Galatians 2:11-14) Why do you think Peter first embraced the Gentile believers in Antioch and later withdrew from them to eat only with Jews? He was afraid of the circumcision party who criticized him What does this tell us about his character? He is a hyprocrite. Why should he have known better? He was alway with the Lord. What does this tell us about Barnabas? He does not know where he stand. What does it tell us about the political clout of the visitors from Jerusalem? They were the law keeper Have you ever acted like a hypocrite to impress others? Yes. What should you do when you recover your senses? Ask for the forgiveness

What is the significance of Paul’s mention that Titus was not required to be circumcised? Because in Christ you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ;

What is the danger of taking the teaching of contemporary leaders as our doctrinal basis without checking it with the Scripture? Spiritual death. 1john 4 My dear friends, many false prophets are in the world now. So don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see if they are from God. 2 This is how you can recognize God’s Spirit.

They speak the thoughts of the world, and the world listens to them. They use guilt to try to compel people to give more because of greed. and it so wrong Can greed be behind their pressure? Yes Why is pressure incompatible with worship? What does cheerfulness while giving say about the condition of a person’s heart? If you give from the heart with love that's the will of God.

No, i dont think so, Phil 4:19 And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. Search your heart before givin Why are we so careful to reinterpret this as referring mainly to spiritual blessing? If you compared your own actual giving to God’s work to a tithe (10%) of your income, would it look generous? I used to give, and i stoped because it was all for the wrong reasons, the material thing i felt like i am buying God 's blessings. Now i am waiting for the guidence.

(2 Corinthians 8:21-22) What is the balance between living our lives wholly before God without being men-pleasers, and doing what is right in the sight of men We are called to walk with God , we are called to draw men to God we can not live our lives to please men. Philippian 2 v 6-7 Who, being in very nature God,did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothi by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness In what way were we poor? We were spiritually dead In what way have we become rich? By coming to Christ accepting Him, letting Him to live His live in our lives.

May God help us to trust Him in everything. Everything comes from God we have to give back. He is faithful How will this lesson affect your own giving? May God help to learn to give to share i am still struggling with this issue

How can they strike a balance between separating themselves from sinful practices that mess up their spiritual lives while at the same time maintaining friendships with pagan neighbors and co-workers? They are called to serve the Lord in every situation, they were called to walk with God not to depend on their own understading but to God.

Paul shares so much about his various struggles with the Corinthians, because he set an example, how to serve the Lord.and so everyone may learn from him. How does this help them accept his apostleship as authentic? Despite his suffering the Lord was in Him and he could not stop preaching Have you ever complained about what you’ve had to put up with in your ministry? Yes How does it compare to what Paul faced? Paul was a servant of God indeed. my prayer is if God can do to me what he has done to Paul. to use me the way He uses Paul. help me to die daily to my sinful nature.

By committing my life unto the Lord, living according to the the call we are called. How will it affect how people perceive you? That's were we will be fullfiling the will of God where we are to draw people to God. How will it affect how God perceives you? I will be favoured

Rom 1 v 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith,as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”

Living the life of Christ In what sense are you a Minister of Reconciliation for Jesus Christ? Spreading the gospel

You become a new person inside (spiritually) the things that we used to do we do them no more What changes in a person when he puts his faith in Christ? His or her whole life is change. All become new (spiritually) Why don’t old habits disappear immediately if everything has become new? We were born to sin. we grew up in sin, we are married to sin. that is why we keep sinning.

We will be prepared for the kingdom Why is it so easy to focus on temporal matters to the exclusion of eternal things? Because we are unequally yoked, every where we are, at work , home we are with unbelievers, we dont spend time with God. we speak their language Why is a focus on eternal things so important to our spiritual growth? That's the will of God and for us to be prepared for the kingdom of His Son What can we do to help shift our focus? My prayer wright now is to see my sinful nature died on that cross of calvary. Paul he was dead to sin as long as we still struggling with sin there is no way we can focus May the Lord use us the way he use Paul.

After this 5 lessons i have learn that what happen to Paul is what God want us to be like, to live like is the life that God want from us as Christians we are to learn from Paul What effect did these sufferings have on the way people could see Christ in Paul? People they were won to Christ. Why is pain necessary to spiritual growth? Test our faith How does our pain allow others to assess our authenticity as Christians?
  24. Q3. (2 Corinthians 4:7) What truth is Paul seeking to communicate by this analogy of a treasure in a pottery jar? The gospel of Jesus Christ. What does the clay jar represent? Our bodies. What does the treasure represent? The treasure represent the greatness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the glory of God made evident through that gospel. It is the very light of God, and the light of the knowledge of the glory of God, reflected in the face of Jesus Christ. What’s the paradox here? That the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.
