  1. Q2. (1 Thessalonians 1:4-5) Why is the Holy Spirit’s working so necessary to effective ministry? It is through the works of the Holy Spirit that people can be touched with the word. What happens when the main power behind our ministry is will-power? You will always preach about yourself, your success and being after money. What is the role of miracles in Paul’s evangelism? The miracle were evident, People were following him no matter the circumstances What would happen if we saw miracles in evangelism in our day? People they wont believe What is hindering this?   2. Q1. (Acts 17:1-10) Why do you think there was so much strong opposition to Paul’s ministry in Thessalonica? People they were now following Paul's teachings. The Jews who did not put their trust in Christ became jealous. Why do you think Paul keeps preaching the gospel, even though there is often a violent reaction against him? Paul was in Christ, he let Christ control his life. Does a violent reaction to our ministry necessarily mean we should stop? Not at all, we run straight toward the goal to win the prize that God's heavenly call offers in Christ Jesus that was Paul's goal
  3. Q4. (4:11-12) In what way does bad-mouthing a neighbor cause you to be a judge of the law? You are looking at yourself better than other person, instead of helping her Why is it tempting to bad-mouth others, do you think? this is within us
  4. Q3. (4:6-10) Verses 7-10 contain 10 different commands. Why are these actions so vital? God want us to be pure and holy as He is In what way do they go against our nature? We are born sinners and sin is our root. Which of these commands is most difficult for you? Purify my heart / or mind, you people who can’t make up your mind.
  5. Q2. (4:4) Why does James refer to church members as "adulteresses"? They are not faithful to God. they love the world What does the adultery consist of? Cheating: Romans 7 v2 For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law that binds her to him. 3 So then, if she has sexual relations with another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress if she marries another man. Who is the aggrieved husband? The Lord Jesus What is wrong with friendship with the world? The world hate God. The Lord said: John 15 v 19 If you had anything in common with the world, the world would love you as one of its own. But you don't have anything in common with the world. I chose you from the world, and that's why the world hates you.

Making sure that they getting help and they are growing spiritually How about our responsibility for those outside the church, in the community at large? winning them to Christ, while helping them their needs

  10. Q1. (3:1-2) Why does James discourage people from aspiring to be teachers of the Word? For the teachers will be judged by a higher standard and with greater serverity than other people. Why is greater strictness appropriate? For we all often stumble and fall and offend in many speech Should you set higher standards for your pastor than you do for yourself? Yes because they are our leaders
  11. Q2. (1:13-15) Why do people blame God for evil? The people who blame God for evil or their failures in life are those in darkness. Does God tempt us with evil? v 14 A man is tempted to do wrong when he lets himself be led by what his bad thoughts tell him to do. GOD DOES WILL NEVER TEMPT ANYONE Does he tempt sinful people with evil? GOD WILL NEVER TEMPT ANYONE. Why does he allow people to sin? Everyone has choice, You can choose to sin or choose to obey God. Genesis 2 v 16 - 17 The Lord God told the man, “You are free to eat from any tree of the garden. 17 But do not eat from the tree of learning of good and bad. For the day you eat from it you will die for sure.” GOD GAVE ADAM FREE WILL. ADAM HE WANTED SIN. HE COULD HAVE CHOSEN THE TREE OF LIFE. SO ARE WE.You can choose to obey God or choose to disobey Him.
  12. 2. (1:13-15) Why do people blame God for evil? Because of their unbelieve Does God tempt us with evil? God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone. Does he tempt sinful people with evil? No ways. Why does he allow people to sin? God does not allow people to sin, we are the one who choose to sin Why does he allow evil to exist at all? Gen 2v17 God commanded man to eat freely of every tree of the garden and purposely mentioned the tree of life in the midst of the garden for when you eat it you will surely die. Adam choose to disobey God. Man allow himself to be controlled by his human nature
  13. Q1. (1:2-4) What value have trials had in your life? As for me right now many are the defeat and little victories. Have you let Satan destroy you with those trials? Romans 7v15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do not do, but what I hate I do. Or allowed God to refine you? That's my prayer How have you changed?
  14. (1 Chronicles 22-29) Why do you think David prepares for the temple, even after the Lord refuses to let him build it? Solomon is young and does not know all that he needs to do. But the work is very important, and he needed a guidance from his father. after all to build the temple it was his priority How did David cooperate with the Holy Spirit in designing the temple and its worship? He was OBEDIENT to the Holy Spirit. How did David’s example in giving motivate others to give? 1 chronicles 29 v 14 “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand that we should be able to give as generously as this? ( we must learn that everything comes from God)
  15. (2 Samuel 23:1-7) How does David describe himself in verse 1. The man God made him great. The king chosen by God of Jacob. In what sense was David a prophet? v2 The Lord’S Spirit spoke through me. His word was on my tongue. What is the main message of verses 3-7? FEAR OF GOD How can this psalm guide government officials and elected leaders in our day? In everything look up to the Lord for guidance and fear GOD
  16. (2 Samuel 22 = Psalm 18) What do you find the most inspiring in the language of this psalm? LOVE and Trust he love the Lord with all his heart What encourages you the most? In everything God is to be praised. Write down all the various titles and metaphors used of God in this psalm. Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, God is my fortress, God my deliverer; God my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
  17. (2 Samuel 18:1-19:8) Why does David command mercy for Absalom in the battle? David he really love his son Why does Joab kill him against David’s orders? Joab was full of revenge How does David’s loud mourning threaten his kingdom? The people will desert him What does this say about his followers’ loyalty? They were unfaithful, the were suppose to be on his side no matter what? What does it say about David’s faith? He was still trusting in God
  18. (2 Samuel 16:5-14) Why doesn't David silence Shimei son of Gera from cursing him? David he pleaded and surrender himself to the Lord and waiting for the Lord to restore him. he had to deny himself Is this a political decision or a spiritual decision? Absolutely spiritual What does it tell us about David's faith? He is faithful
  19. (2 Samuel 15:14-30) Why does David flee Jerusalem rather than stay and fight? David knew that the battle is not his but the Lord. He said:let :Him do to me whatever seems good to Him. What are David's emotions during this retreat? His emotion was weary. Why doesn't he take the ark with him into exile? He was too burdened Does this exhibit faith, fatalism, or submission? Submission What does this tell us about his faith? Shaking,David never say "IF" now he said: if I find favour in the Lord's eyes he will bring me back.
  20. (2 Samuel 13-15:13) It’s difficult to find positive spiritual lessons in these sad and grim chapters. What negative spiritual lessons do you find? Condemnation, and Fail to forgive himself, Since God said to David Now, therefore, the sword will never depart from your house, because you despised me. This is what the Lord says: ‘Out of your own household I am going to bring calamity on you. He can't even rebuke his son"s in their wrong doings, is like the word keep coming back to him for what he did. We know David he is the man with the heart after God, he could have pleaded with God about the his household situation.
  21. (2 Samuel 15:1-6) What are the elements of Absalom’s public relations campaign to win over the people to his side? He rose up early and stood beside the gateway. and bad mouth his father by saying: “Look, you’ve got a strong case; but the king isn’t going to listen to you.” Then he’d say, “Why doesn’t someone make me a judge for this country? How effective is it? It worked for him What should David have done differently? He was suppose to discipline him from the beginning. Which of David’s weaknesses does Absalom exploit? Disciplining his own son. before he judged everyone accordingly.
  22. (2 Samuel 13:39-14:24) Why do you think Joab conspires to get David to bring Absalom home? As much as Joab knows his king he knew that he miss his son.( v 39 NLV) The spirit of King David wanted very much to go out to Absalom. Why do you think David does not immediately show Absalom his favor? David loved his son and he expect him to ask for the forgiveness, since he (Absalom) did not even bother to ask his father to come home, but Joab interceded for him, the least he could do was just to be like the prodigal son.
  23. (2Samuel 13: 21-22) Why do you think David does'nt discipline his son Amnon for his sexual assault on his half-sister? David seems to remember exactly what the Lord said to him in 2Sam 12 v 11: God said out of your own household I am going to bring calamity upon you. What are the consequencies of David's inaction? Irresponsible leader.
  24. (2 Samuel 12:10-14) What punishment does David deserve? Same punishment he ever thought about the man in the parable. “I swear by the living Lord that the man who did this deserves to die! 6 And because he didn’t have any pity on the poor man, he will have to pay four times what the lamb was worth.” What does he get instead? Sorrow How does this punishment relate to the provisions of the Davidic Covenant in 2 Samuel 7:14-15? Though David sin God promise is: His love will never be taken away from him (He forgive him) v13-14 How do David’s sins hurt God’s glory? He did it secretly How do our sins reflect on Jesus Christ? Same as David because of his love for us.
  25. (2 Samuel 12:1-10) Why might it be dangerous for Nathan the prophet to confront the king? He could have been killed What device does Nathan employ get the king to listen to him? Telling him about the parable of the rich and poor man How does David’s condemnation of the rich man’s greed help him acknowledge and condemn his own actions? v15 The Lord struck the child that Uriah’s wife had given birth to for David so that the child became sick. 16 David pleaded with God for the child; he fasted and lay on the ground all night. 17 The older leaders in his palace stood beside him to raise him up from the ground, but he was unwilling. And he wouldn’t eat with them. he suffered the consequences of his own deeds
