  1. Moses's prayer is about the burden of carrying the people alone and telling God he needs help. yes every prayer is an example for it was God who solved his problem with his people. God asked him to bring 70 elders for a congreational meeting and that they will bear some of the burden and will go through santification process.
  2. Burnt offerings were for many things-sin's yet, but also for thanksgiving. The laying on of hands is a representative of Jesus's laying on us as in prayer. The priests weren't suppose to kill or touch anything unclean. The blood signifies Jesus sacrifice on the cross. In the New Testament Jesus' death on the cross replaced the blood sacrifices.
  3. Worship was and is a Holy experience, orderly absent of chaos. Worship includes the steps leading up to the alter (pastor's podium) (bronze) and the basin and cup is equal to the podium representing the Sacraments (blood and body) all to be observed with reverence and Holiness. We are there to worship God only and find encouragment from others.
  4. The Holy of Holies is the location where God resided and led them.
  5. The layout of the camp was set up as in steps from the front all the way to the most protected in the rear. The east side was the rising sun. This layout is the way God taught Moses who led by example also it taught the way to protect themselves from the enemy. The Levites and priests were responsible for the Temple and sacrifices.
  6. Idol worship was popular during these days, because it is too difficut to conceive a God that says even though you can't see me I love you and require that you serve only me. I think Aaron helped them because he got caught up in the dancing, wine, and women.Any idol makes God very angry. Some idolize the pastor or a leader.
  7. Probably cause God got tired of the grumbling. It ceased because he figured out that humans can't be sasiated. I am an overeater and about to change this drastically.
  8. Complaining has always been a mystery to me. I have come from a background of complainers so when is it ok to complain? It is human, but is it right. When I complain I am complaining to God about what a poor job he did on me. Others say you can complain when you are making a prayer request, but leaders can't accept complaining because in their humanness they take it personally. I am never sure we acheive the "it's not about me" level. I think that it all is a journey and when we get to Heaven we will stop "all about me" I hope.
  9. Grumbling and complaining is unbelief. I see too many in my own life since I try to accomplish some things that are not within my reach.
