  1. To be holy is to live the life that makes God happy and rejoice, by submitting to his will and by imitating. We were created in god's image, so we have his wonderful qualities. We were born imperfect but because Jesus died for our sins, we are forgiven and if we walk like Jesus and do what is required of us as Christians and children of God we make our Father happy and we are in his favor.
  2. When things and/or life is predestined we do not know what is to be but if you truly have faith and believe it is not scary. Our life was predestined because God had a purpose for each and every one of us and that purpose no matter what will be carried out. Paul brings it up to remind that God has a purpose and that it will be fulfilled. He praises God because everthing that was prophesied had been done and will be done. The evidence is in the Scriptures.
  3. For me "to be in Christ" is to imitate Jesus Christ of his fine qualities. To incorporate is to walk and be like Jesus. In my life, the implications are abundant. I am humble, lowliness in mind, have a Christ like spirit, love my neighbors and enemies. I do not judge anyone because I am not to judge because the Scriptures say only God is the judge.
  4. Hello...I am from Wooster, Ohio and have been a Bible Study student here for some time now and I truly appreciate and enjoy being here. I am a grandmother of a granddaughter age 9 and grandson age 7 who are the apple of my eye and bring me so much joy and happiness. I hope to make many more new Christian friends here.
  5. There are many gods but there is only One True God and he is the Almighty, Most High. To meditate on this is to acknowledge him and praise him and worship him.
  6. Both acknowledged the God was the creator of the heaven and earth and that He is the Most High.
  7. Moses came down and told the people what God had said and all the people said altogether that the words that were spoken they would do. 12 pillars were buildt to the 12 tribes of Israel. Half the blood was put on the basin and the other half was sprinkled on the altar. The words repeated was that "All that God has said we will do."
  8. That he is the first and the last. Also Yahweh is also translated to Jehovah....which is Our Creator's Name.
  9. It shows the love that Jesus and his Father has for mankind. It gives me such joy and peace of mind and confidence that even though I do not feel worthy of such sacrifice, that Jesus loves me and was willing to die for me. This inspires me to continue taking in knowledge of the Bible, to follow the commandments as required, and continue living the life as a Christian, and give praise and thanks to God.
  10. For us as Christians to have the hope of everlasting life on a Paradise Earth.
  11. Before coming to earth, Jesus was a spirit. Therefore, in order for the atonement to take place he had to live as a perfect human man. Without Jesus Christ dying for our sins, there would not have been a hope for resurrection for us.
  12. Sin started with a perfect human being (Adam) and for atonement it had to end with a perfect man (Jesus Christ)
  13. Remembering Christ's Death is not hard for me. Why? Because for what sacrifice God did for us that he offered up his only begotten Son so that we can have everlasting life. What tremendous joy that brings me because the world we live in today is not worth anything but when we are resurrected and living in Paradise, what a wonderful wonderful joy it will be.
  14. It does not lose its meaning. Jesus wanted this to be repeated so to instill it in our minds, and in our hearts and to know what its true meaning is all about.
  15. Knowing that Jesus gave his life to save me and shed his blood for me is most meaningful for me. It shows his love for all mankind and teaches us that we also should love one another. It just gives me strength and hope each and everyday.
  16. Broken and Poured Out. This is the evidence that Jesus Christ ransom sacrifice was to save us from sin. He shed his blood for us and with that we should all be thankful and follow what is required of us to be True Christians to give of ourselves just like Jesus did.
  17. There is danger because there are some who do not truly understand the meaning of the Lord's Supper. The parables that are said are not to be taken literally. Each parable has a spiritual meaning, not morbid. We should hold the rememberance of Jesus Christ close to are hearts and truly understand what the Lord's Supper or as some would call The Last Supper truly means.
  18. For me, this is a spiritual and sacred reminder what Jesus wants us to do. We are to remember him for what he is and what he has taught and for what he died for. His Father sacrificed his Son, Jesus Christ, so that we may have hope for resurrection and have everlasting life. Taking the bread which is his body and taking of the wine which is his blood, just draws me ever closer to Jesus. Gives my heart so much joy knowing that I am living and doing what is required of me.
  19. Hello Brothers and Sisters; My name is Celia and I live in Northeast Ohio. I am so happy to once again come back for another wonderful, inspirational, and uplifting bible study here. Welcome to all new comers
  20. Pouring out the pains and fears to God shows I trust him and love him with whole heart, mind, soul, and spirit to help and comfort me through the struggles and obstacles of life. Giving God complete control. Makes my struggles a little more tolerant to deal with and makes me feel good inside that I am not alone.
  21. In what sense are we Christians to "hold fast" the Word of Life? Keep a tight grip on the word. Hold stead-fast in our beliefs and humble ourselves and hold on to the Word. How does this relate to the purpose of the Church? Would be beneficial to get churches back on track with the way God intended.
  22. How does ceasing complaining and arguing enable a church to shine as stars in a dark sky? Can become an illuminator in the world. What does this shining as stars signify? To show that we are children of God and to show the world God's love and spirit within us. Have complaining and arguing compromised your church's witness as a God place? Some times. If so, what can you do to change this? To be honest, I am not really sure. Just keep on praying and keeping the faith and continue to lend support where/when ever needed.
  23. In this passage, what does it mean to "work out your own salvation"? Can not depend on anyone to help oneself make things right with God. Can not be responsible for anyone to make things right with God. God knows each of our hearts and works with each of us individually. We alone can make things right.
  24. We know we're suppose to humble ourselves like Jesus did. But how can we know whether or not God will exault us? If we acknowledge him publicly and privately, bend our knees and truly believe, God will exalt us. Why do we get impatient with this? Its because of all the things that are going on in this world and because some of us are just plain afraid. What does our impatience sometimes lead to? Back slidding or what some would call going off course.
  25. Was Jesus really a human being or only pretending to be one? Jesus was born as a baby and grew up to be a man and in being so he humbled himself and was obedient and suffered death on the cross for our sins. What do these verses teach? That Jesus took on a slave's form, he was humble and obedient and died for our sins shows he loves mankind. What differance does it really make whether or not Jesus was human? Being created by God, Jesus is still his Son and is superior and will reign as Ruler in the new system.
