  1. In your own words what does it mean that Christ didn't cling to his equality with God? Jesus always gave God, His Heavenly Father glory for every word and deed. Jesus is just fufilling and obeying the Words and Commands of God. How specifically does this passage teach that Jesus is divine? Jesus does not compar himself to God because his Father is the Creator of all things.
  2. To achieve unity in your congregation, why is humility necessary? In order that all be as brothers and sisters in Christ. To share in spirit, affection, and compassion Can you give an example of how lack of humility caused a division in your church? Members became hostile towards one another. Some thinking because of social and financial status that they were better than anyone. What are you doing to bring unity in your church? Continue spreading love, compassion, and the word of God. Do not get personally involved because if there's a personal problem it should be handled and settled between the parties that are involved.
  3. When my spirit leaves this old body, I take comfort in knowing that I will be with the Lord, in a better place.
  4. Fear can keep us from being a bold witness. It can even make us ashame and that is because of Satan. Most are too afraid to witness for fear of what others will say or do to them. We are just too busy worrying about what others think and say that we forget that it is God who we are to please, not man. Because Jesus Christ suffered and died for us because he loved mankind. I am proud to testify that I do not have any fear of serving and witnessing. I have a fear though that because I am human that I will make a mistake and make God unhappy but one joy I have is that he knows my heart and will know that nothing would be done intentionally.
  5. Whether in pretense or truth we have and must keep on rejoicing because the result is salvation. You must believe in the truth, you must believe in God Almight and in Jesus Christ. My basis for believing is the spirit that I have within me. I believe in God's Word for he does not and can not lie.
  6. Because by going through personal struggles, stress, and problems you put those things in God's hands and ask for his guidance and since you have been in God's hands, those problems were worked out, therefore, you can witness and testify how God works. Because Paul had faith and be believed. He asked God for help and he received. Going through serious health problems and even though I am in constant pain day in and day out, God has given me the strength to go to every Bible Study, Book Study, and Services.
  7. Out of the partnership we receive heavenly rewards. Should not look for monetary, etc. rewards. Other support we can offer besides financial is spiritual support, brotherly/sisterly love, prayer and compassion.
  8. Basic idea of "slaves" is servant. Paul and Timothy were servants of Jesus Christ. Root idea of "saint" is Holy One or Loyal One. Paul and Timothy were not only servants of Jesus Christ but also loayl to Jesus Christ. To show love and true worship to God you must become his "loyal servant."
  9. Discernment is asked so the Philippians will grow and mature into true Christians and give them the knowing what is required and pleasing to God.
  10. God has a plan for our lives (you and I) and he will carry it out to its completion. In other words, until it is done.
  11. Out of the partnership we recive heavenly rewards. Should not look for monetary, etc. rewards. Other support we can offer besides financial is spiritual support, brother/sisterly love, prayer, and compassion.
  12. Basic idea of "slave" is servant. Paul and Timothy were servants of Jesus Christ. Root idea of "saint" is Holy One or Loyal One. Paul and Timothy were not only servants of Jesus Christ but also loyal to Jesus Christ. To show love and true worship to God you must become his "loyal servant."
  13. Hello my Brothers and Sisters in Christ; My name is Celia and I live in Ohio. Have been a member here for quite sometime and I truly and deeply enjoy all the studies that have been presented here. I have not been able to come here as much as I would love to because I have and am very ill but I do my best. I truly love studying the Bible and I appreciate everything that I have learned and continue to learn. God Bless You All.
  14. Not being hypocritical, ready to obey and full of mercy, love, humility, wisdom and not making partial distinctions. Crop grows ripe within ourselves.
  15. Being selfish and having bitter envy means that you have envy for what someone else have and you want it. Being selfish is that no matter who you hurt you are going to go for whatever it is that you want regardless of anyone's feelings. With these things you are showing that you have no humility for anyone and not even for yourself. This goes against what God and Jesus Christ has taught.
  16. Tongue is untamable because what comes out of the mouth is from the heart and from thoughts. In order to be tamed our hearts and mind must be clean of wickedness and vial thoughts and feelings.
  17. Brings heavier judgment and since we are human we can stumble at anytime, no matter how strong our faith and belief. Great strickness is a must if we are to become teachers of the Word. We must be clean and pure in heart and live and obey the commandments that is required of us. Higher standards for pastor is a must. He /She is the Sheperd and congregation are the flock. If the sheperd is not strong and true he/she will lead the flock astray.
  18. Because we know a demn and his angels exist. Why? Because the Bible tells us and the condition of the world also shows proof. Belief of a practicing Christian is like someone saying "I'll believe he/she is when I see it>" Being a practicing Christian means they are doing the actions but its not known if the faith is true or not. On the other side of the coin, true Christians practice Christianity with their heart, mind, soul, and actions.
  19. We are out brothers keeper. In other words, we as true Christians must help the lowly, the poor. Must be like Jesus. This does not stop just within the church community, this applies outside as well (world).
  20. Faith without action is not complete. When you have true complete faith your actions towards others will show. You can not have one without the other and be a true Christian and servant of God. Only alive if you show action of your complete faith.
  21. Great Commandement (Royal Law) is the commandments handed down by God. Favoritism towards the rich person breaks the royal law because you are showing and giving the rich person a higher status than you give even God. Breaks the royal law towards the poor person because you have judged and condemned that person for what he or she does not have, therefore implying the poor person is not worthy of attention, fellow love, and love from God.
  22. Favoritism makes us a judge because we are deciding who is more important, having status and wealth. Brings evil thoughts to mind because not showing or having mercy, love, and humility for the other person or people.
  23. I do not discriminate towards anyone. By doing so means you are judging and we are in no position or authority to judge. If we judge or show favoritism it leads to wicked thoughts and we are taking God's position into our own hands. The only people I am trying to impress is only one and that is God!
  24. Being a hearer and doer of the work we will be happy in doing it. Royal law is must love your neighbor as yourself but if we make a false step we become an offender against all.
