Q1. Present Kingdom

Recommended Posts

Q1. (Luke 17:21) In what sense was the Kingdom of God present in the Person and ministry of Jesus? In what sense is the Kingdom of God present today?

The Kingdom of God is all that Jesus taught. What He taught was prophecied in the Old Testament.

It is only present to those who believe that Jesus was crucified and He came back to reside in your heart. That is the Kingdom of God...

Q1. (Luke 17:21) In what sense was the Kingdom of God present in the Person and ministry of Jesus? In what sense is the Kingdom of God present today?

Luk 17:21 neither shall they say, Lo, here! or, There! for lo, the kingdom of God is within you.

Christ, the very presence of God was among them, walking amidst them. The King Himself was walking with them. Today we as believers and followers of Christ have Him living within each and every one of us therefore He is still among us. The Holy Spirit resides within us and from there we are in the Kingdom of God.

The Kingdom of God was present in the life & ministry of Jesus because the kingdom is Jesus and His followers. His life & ministry all pointed to the Kingdom of God.

It is present today in works of the Holy Spirit in and through those who love the Lord.

Q1. (Luke 17:21) In what sense was the Kingdom of God present in the Person and ministry of Jesus? In what sense is the Kingdom of God present today?

The Kingdom of God was present in the Person and Ministry of Jesus in His Deity. He is the Son of God. The Kingdom of God was also present in the Person and Ministry of Jesus through the Holy Spirit. This also is the way the Kingdom of God is present today. It is through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that we can say with Paul, "In Him we live and move and have our being".

Q1. (Luke 17:21) In what sense was the Kingdom of God present in the Person and ministry of Jesus? In what sense is the Kingdom of God present today?

-the Kingdom of God present in the Person and ministry of Jesus"in the sens that If I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you."(Matthew 12:28)

-"If I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come to you." (Luke 11:20)

-the kingdom of God is present to day in the sens that the Spirit of Jesus in us, the Spirit of Jesus operating in us and the ministry we are exercising to day.

-The kingdom is "among you," that is, it is present in the Person and ministry of Jesus.6 I think the second interpretation is closer to what Jesus meant -- that the Kingdom was present among them in Jesus himself. That the Kingdom had already begun as Jesus teaches, gathers disciples, and exercises God's authority here on earth. Of course, the Kingdom is present within us by Jesus' Spirit -- that is true, and the Epistles develop the idea of the indwelling Spirit. But since Jesus doesn't teach this anywhere else in the Gospels, I think he intended this saying to be understood in the sense of the Kingdom being "among" or "in the midst" of the Pharisees in his own Person.

Q1. (Luke 17:21) In what sense was the Kingdom of God present in the Person and ministry of Jesus? In what sense is the Kingdom of God present today?

The Kingdom of God was present in the Person and ministry of Jesus in all that he did when he walked on earth - teaching, healing, feeding, performing miracles i.e exercising God's authority on earth. Everything Jesus did, pointed everyone to God in heaven. The Kingdom of God is present in us today today because Jesus, in His name, has made available to us believers all authority from heaven. Through the gift of the Holy spirit, we have also been empowered to do "greater things than these".

The Kingdom of God was present in the person of Jesus in that He was the exact replica of the Father. All that Jesus did on Earth was a reflection of who God is and what the Kingdom of God looks like. His ministry reflected the character of God in and through Jesus. He taught in "our language" of parables to give us understanding of the Kingdom of God. He worked miracles to show the supernatural. He showed compassion and forgiveness to show us the inner workings of our heart in relation to the Kingdom. He suffered and died for us to show God's love and how vast it is for us and how much He would give to have us as His own. He lived holiness as in the Kingdom, yet showed us grace in relation to our (and His) being fully human. He demonstrated every aspect of the Kingdom of God in His person, life and ministry.

How is this present today? By His Holy Spirit.

We still have opportunity to the guidance and demonstrations of God's Kingdom and to live that by the power of the Holy Spirit. To do that though, we need to accept Jesus as LORD of our lives. To commit to truly being Christ followers and not just take on the name of "Christian."

Q1. (Luke 17:21) In what sense was the Kingdom of God present in the Person and ministry of Jesus? In what sense is the Kingdom of God present today?

The sense in which the Kingdom of God was present in the Person and ministry of Jesus was, Because Jesus was God come to earth in the form of his son Jesus, the Kingdom of God was Jesus, in the sense that he came to earth as a man to show and teach us about the Kingdom of God, that, if we let it, will also be present in us through our belief in Jesus as the son of God and God himself and the Kingdom of God which is right here on earth and in Heaven.

The Kingdom of God is present today in all believers and in the Holy Spirit whom God sent to us to keep us on the right path and to help us become the true believers that God so wants us to be and live as a symbol of his Kingdom which can only exist with true believers who willing follow Jesus and God and fill his Kingdom with love and peace.

Jesus represented the earthly aspect of the universal kingdom of God, present among them, but the Pharisees did not recognize this. The Kingdom had already begun as Jesus taught, gathered disciples, and exercised God's authority here on earth.

The Kingdom is present today in the embodiment of the Church and through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, as we abide in Jesus and His words abide in us.

Q1. (Luke 17:21) In what sense was the Kingdom of God present in the Person and ministry of Jesus? In what sense is the Kingdom of God present today? Jesus is the one and only Messiah,Son of God, sent to us to preach the Kingdom of God.Jesus and his Kingdom lives within us. As Christians we must always seek the Kingdom of God by living a Christ centered life. A life filled with strong faith and reverence for our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus. We must always seek to follow the Kingdom of God which resides in our hearts through living a Godly life honoring and putting God FIRST in our life, above all things! We can do this through accepting Jesus as our Saviour, following his wrod, and seeking to live a life of redemption..

The Kingdom is ALWAYS present in the life of a Christian, one must know that the Kingdom is here NOW among us in the person of Jesus Christ who resides among us and resides in our heart. And it will be completed at the end of times when it's judgment, the rapture, comes as a flash of lightning. Then the kingdom of God will be completed here on earth and continue to be lived in all of eternity, never to meet destruction!

In what sense is the Kingdom of God present today?

Today, we must resist looking to institutions or programs for evidence of the progress of God's kingdom. Instead, we must look for what God is doing in people's hearts

Q1. (Luke 17:21) In what sense was the Kingdom of God present in the Person and ministry of Jesus? In what sense is the Kingdom of God present today?

God walked the earth in human form! As He preached and taught and traveled, He gathered disciples who learned to love and revere Him as Lord of their lives. His exercise of God's power and the disciples' submission to His sovereignty in their lives were manifestations of the Kingdom of God.

First and foremost, God's Kingdom is here today because of the empty tomb in Jerusalem on that first easter morning! Jesus defeated death, and the grave, and sin, and Satan on that day. His Kingdom is a reality now in my heart and my life, and the hearts and lives of all believers. We have all been indwelt by the Holy Spirit. We have God with us to guide us each step of the way. The Kingdom of God is here in our obedience to His rule, in our submission to His sovereignty over our lives, just as it was with the disciples in the first century.

The kingdom of God was present, at that time, in the Person and ministry of Jesus Himself. The Kingdom began here on earth when Jesus began teaching, gathering disciples, and exercising God's authority here on earth.

Today, the Kingdom is present within us by Jesus' Spirit, at the moment of salvation the Spirit indwells all believers.

Q1. (Luke 17:21) In what sense was the Kingdom of God present in the Person and ministry of Jesus? In what sense is the Kingdom of God present today?

To be in the Kingdom is to be with Jesus. The apostles were with Jesus so they were more or less in the Kingdom. As for us, we have the

Spirit. Since the Spirit is part of God, maybe we might count this as well.

The kingdom of God was present in the ministry of Jesus because of the presence of the KING -- Jesus, the King of glory was present - walking this dusty earth that HE had created ... Amazing and awe-inspiring. we remember with joy that this King is coming again to rule ... Hallelujah.

In what sense was the Kingdom of God present in the Person and ministry of Jesus?

the kingdom of God is the reign and rule of God... Present in Jesus by the power of God the Holy Spirit ... demonstrated in power by the miracles -- the signs Jesus performed to demonstrate the authenticity of the power of God in him.

In what sense is the Kingdom of God present today?

The Kingdom of God is present today by the presence of God the Holy Spirit living and ruling in the lives of HIS people. we are his mouth, his hands his feet... not only servants of the King, but also a Royal Priesthood ... members of the royal family ... reigning on earth by the power of his Holy Spirit ... and one day we will reign with him in glory. Believe it ... This is true ... we must live as sons and daughters of the King serving and obeying Him now as we have time ... looking for his coming when he will usher in the fullness of his kingdom as he returns as King of glory to reign. Hallelujah

Q1. (Luke 17:21) In what sense was the Kingdom of God present in the Person and ministry of Jesus? In what sense is the Kingdom of God present today?

IT is obvious from other scripture that the kingdom of God will come at the day God has appointed; but as far as the people of that day were concerned, they would not live to see it. To have their part in it they needed to believe the Gospel of the kingdom that Jesus was preaching.

What is man so special to Gods Kingdom,

God planned for man to be in His image and likeness,

... the fullness of that image and likeness that He made man in!

Therefore God also made man special,

a special being, like Himself in more ways than one ...

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify

you completely, and may your whole spirit,

soul, and body be preserved blameless

at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

--- 1 Thess. 5:23

Therefore also, man

Q1. (Luke 17:21) In what sense was the Kingdom of God present in the Person and ministry of Jesus? In what sense is the Kingdom of God present today?

The Kingdom of God was present in the person and ministry of Jesus by the things He did, which were relevant to the Kingdom of God, such as casting out demons. Also the fact that Jesus was willing to give up His life (according to worldly standards) for the Kingdom of God is evident and present in the person and ministry of Christ. He drives this point home by referencing the consequences of the people who lived during Noah and Lot's time. Jesus warns that the world we live in today will display the same characteristics of Lot and Noah. However, he says whoever clings to this life shall lose it, and whoever loses his life shall save it. This verse and scripture sanctions how the Kingdom of God is relevant to our present day. Essentially, the Kingdom of God is present based upon our agreement to lose our lives to our Heavenly Father. As we abide in Him, He abides His Kingdom abides in us.
