Q4. John 3:16

Recommended Posts

Q4. (John 3:16) Why is this verse so famous? What does it teach us about God? What does it teach us about salvation? Since entering eternal life is a synonym for entering the Kingdom of God, what does this verse teach us about our destiny?

This quote is so famous because it sums up the entire message of the gospel. God loved us, even in our sinful state; He loves us so much, He was willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for us. Most of us can identify with the heart of gladly giving our own lives to save our children, and here is the Creator of the universe who gave His only Son, so that we have the opportunity to live! I could fathom no greater sacrifice. This passage teaches us about a love so great; amazing love!! He asks that we accept His sacrifice for our lives. The acceptance brings us to a place where we need to know more of this great opportunity and search the scriptures daily and drink of it's teaching. The Word leads us to greater faith and a yearning to want Him to lead us in our thoughts and actions. We have the opportunity to live by heavenly principles, even while we still live in the world, and forever!!

John 3.16 is very famous because it is here that God's intnse/ great love is revealed. This love was so great that God gave His only son to die so that we could get into the Kingdom, His Kingdom. The verse further proves that God is love and His nuture is love.

Accepting this love and believing leads to salvation that also leads to the Kingdom. Rejection leads to hell and destustion.

We have a choice here to believe and go to heaven or reject the offer to believe in the son and go to hell. God leaves the choice to us.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

When I am doing my Bible studies, I like to look at other versions of the Bible. It is very interesting the way The Message Bible interprets John 3:16. In John 3:16-18, from the Message Bible, it states, 16-18"This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn't go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person's failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.

This question is answered by this version and in summary, it is famous because it simply tells us that God loved all of us and if we believe in His Son, we will have eternal life.

a)I believe this scripture is popular for many or various reasons. First and foremost, it emphasizes the love God has for creation. Secondly, it expresses a fair opportunity for everyone to make the choice to come to Him on their own accord. Thirdly, it is a relatable and simple scripture and not

I think the reason this verse is so famous is because it tells how God loved the world(humanity) with an agape love. He was willing to sacrifice His only Son so that none may perish in their sins.

What this verse teaches us about God is that while He is a Holy God,He is also a merciful God. He isn't willing that anyone die in their sins. God sent His only Son Jesus to die on the cross,so that those who accept Him as their Savior may have their sins forgiven.

What this verse teaches about our destiny is that those who accept Christ will be in heaven with Him when they die. Eventually, those of us who are believers will spend eternity with Jesus on the New Earth. Those who don't accept Christ as their Savior during their lifetime will die in their sins. Their eternal destiny is hell,a place of darkness and fire.

As Christians,we need to share our faith with as many people as we can so they can know about God's great love and how He sent Jesus to die on the cross in order to save them from their sins and from eternity in hell.

John3:16 is famous because it clearly tells why jesus came into this world. It teaches us that God loves us so much that He gave His dearest Son as a sacrifice for our sins. It teaches that when we believe in Jesus Christ the Son of god, we get saved. This verse teaches that entering the kingdom of God goes with believing in Jesus.

I think that this verse is so famous because it starts out letting us know that God so loved the world (God loved us and all His creations soooooooo very much) that He gave His only Son to save it.

We just have to believe it for our salvation and our destiny will be with the Lord or our soul will perish

I agree with many of the responders that the verse is famous because it is such a succinct summary of the gospel. I also think that it's power comes from the fact that it contains a promise, a renewal of God's covenant with us.

The verse teaches us that God loves the world (everyone).

The verse teaches us that salvation is available to everyone.

The verse teaches us that if we believe we will be saved.
