Q2. (1 Samuel 30:6)

From the Psalms of David, how does David seem to strengthen himself

in the Lord when things are going bad?

What devotional exercises does he adopt?

What is the focus of his faith?

a. David goes to God in prayer. He acknowledges that God is the

source of hope, he cries for help and comfort "For the Lord is my

light and salvation"

b. David extols his faith and love in God and praises God in all situations.

He draws strength from his experiences with God, he has seen the results

in trusting God and knows God is with him. David is alwas actively

searching for God and turns his problems over to God. David finds rest

and peace in God, even if he is afraid. "I will trust in you, My salvation

comes from Him."

c.So David's focus is in his belief in God. He searches for his answers

and needs only from God.

Q2. (1 Samuel 30:6)

From the Psalms of David, how does David seem to strengthen himself when things are going bad?

What devotional exercises does he adopt?

What is the focus of his faith?

David learned to be at peace when he was a shepard; he heard God's call to kill the lion and bear and Goliath

He drew strength and steadfast focus from his life experiences knowing God is in control of everything. He saw God working in his life, and he knew God would help him again. This is God's proof to us that He will deliver us from all evil in this life; it may not be how we'd expect or want from our earthy view of things, but He will deliver us in His way to calm our spirit and let us glorify Him.

David wrote the Psalms and wise men put them into a book called the bible so we can draw strength from the only real truth in this world

We must find the Kingdom of God by actively searching God and His Kingdom in all we do.

We hand over "our problems" the solution is trivial for God, the creator of all, and the Lord of all.

We should find our peace in this truth, for every moment of the day.

So I pray all readers of these words will feel God's truth and peace at this moment. amen

The men blame David because he is the leader, and he made the decision to take all the men leaving Ziklag unprotected.

The situation is so explosive because the men wanted to kill Saul which meant they wouldn't have had to be hiding out with the Philistine's and the situation could have been avoided.

David feels terrible for the loss of Ziklag, but he puts his faith in the Lord by separating himself from the to gain strength in the Lord, he prays and sings to himself.  He can't allow himself to get caught up in defending himself or allowing himself to become depressed

David adopts singing and having his men sing praises to God.  This helps keep them focused on God and what he has done for them.

(1 Samuel 30:6) From the Psalms of David, how does David seem to strengthen himself in the Lord when things are going bad? What devotional exercises does he adopt? What is the focus of his faith?

David knows to cry out to God, seek Him, praise Him, wait patiently for His guidance, hope and trust only in Him.

It's apparent that David has been doing this regularly for a long time- it's just part of his daily routine so he has developed a strong faith in God.

Q2. (1 Samuel 30:6) From the Psalms of David, how does David seem to strengthen himself in the Lord when things are going bad? What devotional exercises does he adopt? What is the focus of his faith?

it seems as though David does three things two strengths of himself in the Lord. First he approaches the Lord God In Prayer. Secondly he communes with God and considers all of the things that God has done and thirdly he will compose a Psalm which explicitly  tells how he is feeling and what he thinks.

the Lord God is the focus of his faith.

He knew the land and God was his salvation and light. His soul would raise in the Lord. He calls on God and trusts him
he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.

His faith was with God and his power

Q2. (1 Samuel 30:6) From the Psalms of David, how does David seem to strengthen himself in the Lord when things are going bad?

What devotional exercises does he adopt?

What is the focus of his faith?

He calls on the Lord and recalls how in previous occasions the Lord did not leave him in the lurch but came to his rescue. So in his cries to the Lord and together with his petitions he reminds the Lord how on previous occasions He had helped him and so he knows that He, the Rock of his Salvation will do so again.  So in his struggles and tempting to give in to despair and to being crushed , David gets encouragement/strengthened in his acknowledgement of God's faithfulness.

He worships and praises the Lord and 'brags' or boasts about His greatness and power.

The focus of his faith is on the Lord God alone.
