Eventually the people worship satan and the lawless one because no-one can see their way to come (stand) against him unless their names are written in the book of Life. This man of lawlessness speaks blasphemies, and is given authority to continue making war for 42 months. During this war he overcomes saints and every tribe, tongue and nation. He adopts the place of God in the temple. This lawlessness has been restrained until the right time. The saints believe that he who kills by the sword dies by the sword. The 2nd beast has authority from the 1st beast and causes all the world to worship him (1st beast). He performs signs (eg comparable with the fire of Elijah) by which he deceives men. He has an image made of the first beast and has power to give breath to the image, (could this be a clone?). The image killed those who would not worship. People will follow him because - at the time - what he says and does will seem good. The false prophet will come and expond upon this. Drawing more to believe. Then "the mark" will be introduced thus forcing everyone to either believe and worship the anti-christ or die for their belief and trust on Jesus. The fathse prphet will be in a position of religous power and will lead people to worship the Antichrist. The anitchrist utters blasthemies against God, His name, and tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven and the antichrist makes war with the saints, to overcome them, and power is given to hime over all kindreds, tongues, and nations - and all whose names are not written in the book of life of the lamb will worship the antichrist. And those who dwell on earth will be deceived by miracles and proclaim that the beast should be worshipped. These are the tools used by Satan to break our relationship with God and invade our worship to God. We must remain steadfast in our love and faith in God. He is our protector and our provider. He is a puppet of Satan and he will be a political leader. The False Prophet is the beast out of the land. He is a religious leader who works for the Antichrist and is therefore another of Satan's helpers. 'He who has an ear, let him hear.' Rev 13:9. We must be on our guard at all times. The antichrist and false prophet both are tools of satan controlled by satan to deceive the whole world if it were possible. We that have the seal of God upon our forheads will make it - we will not be deceived. Many who are not ready will be deceived and will believe a lie and be damned. My heart cries out for the many "christians" who are not ready and who will be deceived - they are deceived already! family, jobs, friends and entertainment all come before God in so many lives. They will be deceived I'm afraid and if judgement first begins at the the house of God where will the sinner and ungodly stand. I pray that the reality of the future penetrate each and every heart and that we all make our calling and election sure. It is a sobering thought. When satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness he wantd Jesus to show his power by turning stones onto bread, to do moracles by jumping from a high place and to gain political power by worshiping him. satan's plan was to rule the world through Jesus, but Jesus refused to do satan's biodding. Thus satan turn to the fearsome beast described in this chapter. : To the beast out of sea ge gives political power. : To the beast out the earth he gives power to do miracles. Both beasts work together to capture the control of the whole world. This unholy trinity- the dragon, the beast out of sea and the false prophets unite in desperate attempt to overthrough God, but thier efforts are doomed to failure.
