What might happen is we would not develop the endurance and sticktoitiveness that we need to have while we await His return. We could become weary and fretful; faith could become weak. Patience is vital because it is what gets us through each trial, each crisis we face as we wait for an answer from the Lord and for His return.

Waiting on God’s timing is difficult. We are often distracted and give up or try to make things happen on our own. Either way we lose faith and trust. Patience is vital because it causes us to be expectant and prepared for the Lord’s return. Without patience we can become apathetic and unproductive.

The things that can happen if we Christians lack the patience to eagerly expect Christ’s return is that we will start to follow the ways of this world. If we start to follow the ways of the world then we will be lost also.

Patience is really vital because we don’t know when Jesus is going to return and it could be at any moment.

(5:7-8) What can happen to us Christians if we lack the patience to eagerly expect Christ's return? Why is patience so vital?

If we lose patience we may begin to complain and we may lose our focus on what God is accomplishing here on earth and begin to live indulgent lives like what is described in verses 1-6. Patience is vital because God is in the business of saving people. It is not His desire that any should perish.

Q3. (5:7-8) What can happen to us Christians if we lack the patience to eagerly expect Christ's return? Why is patience so vital?

If we lack patience we will grow complacent and think He's not coming back. We can tire of doing the good we ought to do. Without patience we become like the servants in the parable who think their master isn't coming for along time and just did as they pleased. Then when their master did return, unexpectedly of course, they were found lacking. That can happen to each and every one of us if we don't exercise patience and keep living as though Jesus was about to re-appear.

Q3. (5:7-8) What can happen to us Christians if we lack the patience to eagerly expect Christ's return? Why is patience so vital?

Christians who lack patience and eagerly expect Christ return can get worn out by the fact we know not when Christ will return, we should be patient and most of all be ready, we know not the time or day or night of his coming.

Patience is vital because we always want things our way, right now if not sooner. Living by Gods word and knowing he hears our prayers, we should also know that by faith we are strengthened, being patient will teach us God will and to stand firm.

Our Lord warned his followers to be on the lookout for the "signs of the times;” however, many believers wonder whether Jesus will ever return. Let us make no mistake about it: Jesus Christ is coming again in great power and glory! How, then, should Christians live until the return of Jesus? As Peter reminds us in (II Peter 3), don't become impatient, God is in charge. Christians should be persistent, spotless and blameless; we should regard the Lord's patience as salvation, be on your guard, and grow in our Lord Jesus Christ so as not to fall from your own steadfastness. Patience is vital, here are Peter’s wise words to us in our generation, on this topic:  Let us align our thinking with the word of truth about Jesus as we find it in his Scripture. Let us work diligently to be found in peace. Let us be above reproach and blameless in this corrupt society. Let us realize that the Lord's patience with mankind is so that others may enter a relationship with him. Let us be on guard against false teachers and mockers who distort the truth, to their own destruction. Finally, let us grow in grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Q27. (5:7-8)
What can happen to us Christians if we lack the patience to eagerly expect Christ’s return?
Why is patience so vital?
James tells us to be patient and to stand firm knowing that our Lord is coming back. We, of course, do not know when that will be, but while we are waiting, doubt and distraction often enter our lives. It is for this reason, that we are to stand firm in the knowledge that our Lord will in due time fulfil the promises He made to us. We are reminded of our Lord's imminent return so that we do not lose heart in difficult circumstances. We note that patience is a virtue; because we live in a society that endorses the word instant. But to be patient, is much more than just waiting for the time to pass. We have to be patient in enduring bad and oppressive conduct, as well as controlling our anger. It is the opposite of being short-tempered. We see that God displays patience by being “slow to anger”; it is this patience that we have to reflect in our daily life. Our patience is not one rooted in fatalism that says everything is out of control; rather it is rooted in faith that says everything is in God’s control. We as believers want Jesus to Come: “Come, Lord Jesus” (Rev 22:20), while the world of unbelievers just carry on living their lives not aware of the wrath to come.

Q3. Patience is vital otherwise we will get weary waiting and wondering when Christ is going to return. Sometimes it can seem that it is a fairytale and will never happen but thus far God has been faithful to His Word and kept all His promises. We must study our Scriptures to keep reminding ourselves of who God is and just how perfect and faithful He has been and is today and will be in the future. In the meantime we have plenty to do living our earthly lives but also preparing and being ready for the future when we will meet Our Saviour.

We wont see the end intended by the Lord, to wipe away our tears, it is so vital because the coming of the Lord is at hand, and our end is better and glorious.

Q27. (James 5:7-8) What can happen to us Christians if we lack the patience to eagerly expect Christ's return? What might happen to us is that since sin is so deceptively nice, we might be caught in our worldly pleasures at Jesus’ return and therefore miss the opportunity to be taken up to Heaven with Him. Why is patience so vital? Patience is vital because it opens a window of opportunity that must be grasped without any delay or any measure of wasted time.

He may return when we are slack or unprepared and thus loose out hence the need to patiently wait and be ready for his coming.

Q27. (James 5:7-8)

What can happen to us Christians if we lack the patience to eagerly expect Christ's return?

Why is patience so vital?

If we lack the patience to eagerly expect Christ's return we can become complacent and then when He comes or when we are called from this earth we will be found NOT READY.  Then like the five virgins in the parable Jesus used we will be left behind.

The pain and anguish we endure now will seem as nothing when we see Christ. So it is worth it to have patience knowing that He will return at the APPOINTED TIME. Patience is vital so that we are ready and included with the ones to be with Christ for all eternity.

GLORY!!!!

If we lack patience to early expect Christ's return, we can lose our faith.  We will begin to doubt God.  Patience s vital because it helps to keep us ready for His return.
