Q3. (Ephesians 1:11-12) According to verses 11 and 12, what is God's purpose for our lives? What do we need to do to fulfill this purpose? How does this purpose relate to Matthew 5:13-16?

God created us so that we would praise Him. Our sole purpose is to give God praise at all times. We are to live so that others will see Christ in us. To fulfill His purpose we need to live according to His plan - knowing that His ways are not our ways.

God put man on earth so He could be here! Eat, drink whatever we do, we do for the glory of God. Jesus came to earth not only to save us, but to vindicate the character of God. We are to be like Christ. We are to vindicate the character of God and praise Him for the good and the bad.

Paul wanted the Ephesians to be aware of their position in Christ...and to motivate them to draw upon upon their spiritual source in daily living...to draw upon it that they could do the will of God and not loose their salt..In Revelation, the church of Ephesians lost their first love...the zeal they once had at redemption that gave them cause to rely daily on the Lord...to put the Lord first...I believe in the church today...many have lost their first love as repentance is not mentioned...nor is it mentioned of all we possess in Christ...in which to strengthen the church...talk about losing the salt...many in the congregations have lost their salt and do not know it...and for Paul to remind the Ephesians of their position in Christ and to draw upon the one that gives us what we need to fulfill our purpose is what we need to hear today...In that..we do not need to worry over witnessing...praying...and especially worshipping and praising for it is out of Thankfulness of awarness of who we are in Christ...and the absolute of what Christ alone has done..What we need to do to fulfill this purpose is found in complete surrender to the will of God...only then can our salt never lose it's flavor and all ministry we partake that God has given will flourish and give glory only to the Lord..

Q3. (Ephesians 1:11-12) According to verses 11 and 12, what is God's purpose for our lives? What do we need to do to fulfill this purpose? How does this purpose relate to Matthew 5:13-16?

God's purpose for our lives is to praise Him. We need to live our lives as the hands and feet of Jesus. It is our responsibility to study His Word, learn all we can about Him and His will for us, so that we can become more Christ-like. The more like Him we become, the more the world will notice that we are set apart, different, redeemed. In that way, along without being bold about sharing our faith, we can draw more people to Him, now and forever.

It's not enough to walk the walk or talk the talk. We have to do both all the time. Faith without works is dead. And works without faith are dead. We need to live lives that clearly set us apart. We need to shine. It's not possible for us to be without blemish, but when we fail, or fall short, or hurt someone, we need to confess our sins to the person we've effected and to the Lord. We need to put others before ourselves, live servant lives, as Jesus did. In a "me first" society, living for others can have a huge impact. And that's what we're called to do: impact the world for Jesus.

We have been chosen by God, predestined, to do the purpose of His will for the praise of His glory. We are the vessels to give God the glory after being restored to fellowhship with Him. The plan was designed by Him and executed by Him for His glory. We just get to enjoy the benefits when we accept Christ.

We fulfill this purpose by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior and by obeying Him so that we are always in God's will. This does not always happen, but He always gives a way to come back to Him if we listen to Him and seek Him and His will.

Mat 5:13-16 is the practicality of doing His will. We are salt and light. By following God, we show by example who God is. God wants us to be salt and light so that other men can see God through who we are and what we do.

God's Purpose for our lives is that we do good works and that by our example. people are brought to Christ.

Each Person is given certain gifts and talents . God intends that one uses their talents and gifts to praise him.

In order to fulfill this purpose, each person must spend time in the word and in doing good works. This directly relates to matthew 5:13-16.

According to verses 11 and 12, what is God's purpose for our lives?

Our purpose is to bring Him praise. To reveal to others His nature as God. To let others see God in our very self, deeds and all.

What do we need to do to fulfill this purpose?

Adopt and accept God as our God. The creator, redeemer and spirit, from whom all comes and all goes. Practice his rules and teachings to the fullest if we can, to His delight and for His glory and praise.

Q3. (Ephesians 1:11-12) According to verses 11 and 12, what is God's purpose for our lives? What do we need to do to fulfill this purpose? How does this purpose relate to Matthew 5:13-16?

God has chosen for a reason, Hallelujah! Oh, that I would be made to know the riches of His glorious grace, His good pleasure, and will; to praise, to give approval, TO THE ONE WHO MADE ME! "It is so incredible, it borders on fantasy (quoted from Graham Cooke at the Normal Kindgom Life Conference, 9/28/06 in Vacalville, CA.)."

This statement is so profound to me, because I am (but soon to be was) addicted to others approval. I am (almost was) an approval addict. So to consider my purpose as being to approve of God, that is big for me, that God wants my approval. Praise and approval to me just never seemed the same, can't explain why! I guess this revelation makes me see God in a more intimate way than before. Not that He needs my approval, but that He desires it. That is so awesome.

In Mathew 5:15,16; Paul conveys Gods message for us not to be hidden, not to keep what we know a secret, like a great stock tip. God doesn't desire us to be greedy with our testimonies. He's a best kept secret, but He wants us to share HIm with the world who so desperately needs to know Him, and that is our job while we remain on this planet for however long that is. Share your faith in God, it is something worth sharing. It is really the only thing worth anything at all!

Our purpose is to glorify God..in all that we do...that when we bring praise to the Lord..we bring to him ourselves...

To fulfill this purpose is to surrender to His will and not our own...so important to stay in the Word and apply it daily to our lives...to trust in His word for it is faithful and true...in doing this...we will shine before men and through our lives...that God will be glorified..

Q3. (Ephesians 1:11-12) According to verses 11 and 12, what is God's purpose for our lives?

To bring praise to him in all we are and all we do. That we may glorify the Father which is in heaven and his son who died for us.

:D

To be the light that he has set for me to be so that others may see him in me and want to know him and praise him. Show love one to another.

How does this purpose relate to Matthew 5:13-16?

It is not enough to just say we are Christian we must be what we say we are at all times. We are the light of the world and it is through us that others will see Christ and his love. We can't expect to be part of the world and part of Christ we have to let our light shine at all times so that the Father will be glorify and others will want to serve him.

Q3. (Ephesians 1:11-12) According to verses 11 and 12, what is God's purpose for our lives? What do we need to do to fulfill this purpose? How does this purpose relate to Matthew 5:13-16?

God's purpose for our lives is "for the praise of His glory". I see this praise being our worship of God which we should manifest in everything we do: in our relationships, our work, our prayer and study, and as a member of Christ's church. We praise for God when we do what He commanded, not out of duty but in response to His grace. It is a loving response. By the disciplines we follow, we work to radiate His Son in what we do. We are an agent or a conduit for His love. What Jesus gives us, we impart to others, to the very least of them. We try to reflect Him and become like Him. Our reflection of God, of His Son, the Holy Spirit working in us, should be our mot prominent characteristic. That is the light which should shine forth: the lamp that lights everything around it. This light comes not from us but from God to bring people to God.

To serve and praise him. Accept counsel and hope in Christ Jesus. As accepting counsel, we are the light showing fine works and giving glory to our Father in heaven.

Q3. (Ephesians 1:11-12) According to verses 11 and 12, what is God's purpose for our lives? What do we need to do to fulfill this purpose? How does this purpose relate to Matthew 5:13-16?

A. To bring praise and glory to Him. Since the word glory means to make bigger everytime we praise the Lord we make God bigger in our lives and show Him in a bigger sense to those around us.

B. Jesus said; "If you love me do that which I have commanded you to do". We need to first be witnesses about Christ and what He has done for us. I believe that is God's priority for us. We need to go in His holy boldness and not be ashamed. We think we are almost free of the sins of comission in that we do not do many of the things we used to do but we certainly are not free of the sins of ommisson (ie) not doing the things we are supposed to do. If every child of God would bring one soul to the saving knowledge of Jesus this year and allow the Holy Spirit to do His work in that life this world would be turned upside down. What do we need to do to fulfill this purpose? GET TO WORK!

C. Lev. 2:13 tells us that everyone of our offerings are to be offered with salt. Kingdom citizens have power in this world if everything they say and do is seasoned with salt. If we could just remember that adding salt not only brings out the flavor of Christianity but salt is also a preservative for Christianity in a lost and dying world.

Our purpose is to praise God and bring Him glory. Sometimes we are in places in our lives where it seems impossible to do that! Like there is no way that we can be a productive part of the kingdom. We may not understand where God has us, or why, but our only responsibility is to be willing to be willing to respond to His Holy Spirit at any time, and to be a reflection of His love and mercy.

Matthew 5:13-16:

Because of sin and Satan, only those who worship the Father in Spirit and in truth can be the lighthouses directing the way to Christ - who is the only way to the Father. We must be the reflection of Christ on Earth, so that those in darkness can find the path to Christ, receive redemption through His blood, and then walk in fellowship with their Heavenly Father!

Again, (lest we boast!) it is nothing we do!! We are only the instrument in God's hands. The mirror that He uses to catch the light of the "Son" and reflect it into the eyes of those walking in darkness, that their eyes might be opened and that they might see!
