The three titles of Jesus given by the angels are Messiah, Savior, and Christ the Lord.

Messiah means divinity.

Savior means one who rescues,a deliverer, a preserver.

Christ the Lord-Lord means owner, lord, master while Christ means anointed one.

What this tells us of Jesus' true identity is that He came to bring salvation, not only to the Jews but to Gentiles as well.

Q4. (Luke 2:11) What are the three titles of Jesus given by the angels? What does each mean? What does this tell us about Jesus' true identity?

The three titles of Jesus given by the angels in Luke 2:11 are "Savior", "Christ", & "Lord".

SAVIOR means one who saves or preserves.

CHRIST means anointed one or Messiah.

LORD denotes master or owner; and to the Jew, it also connotated divinity because they read the word 'Lord' anytime they saw YAHWEH(God's true name) because they felt that the name YAHWEH was too holy to be spoken aloud.

So all of these titles taken together tell us that Jesus the Christ is divine in nature. He is God Himself manifested in the flesh as His only begotten Son; and He was born into this world to save mankind from sin, destruction, and death.

Q 4 The three titles of Jesus are CHRIST, LORD and MESSIAH

CHRIST - from the Greek adjective 'christos' means "anointed"

LORD - 'kurios' means owner, lord, master, a designation of any person of high

position.

MESSIAH - Savior

These indicate that Jesus, the anointed Son of God was the promised Savior God has

made with the Israelites. Jesus is the 'Good News' who has come to set the people

free from their bondages.

Q4. (Luke 2:11)

What are the three titles of Jesus given by the angels?

What does each mean?

What does this tell us about Jesus' true identity?

Saviour - deliverer, rescuer; Christ - the Anointed of God, the Messiah of Israel; Lord - He is God manifest in the flesh. As a Saviour Jesus had been appointed from all eternity; promised and expected from the beginning of the world; being God as well as man, able to bring about our salvation. He is Christ the Messiah spoken of by the prophets; the anointed of the Lord, to be a prophet, priest, and king in His church. The true Jehovah, the Lord our righteousness, the Lord of all creatures, the Creator, the Prince of Peace, the Lord of lords, and King of kings.

Q4. (Luke 2:11) What are the three titles of Jesus given by the angels? What does each mean?

First; a Savior meaning a savior who will save all people from enemies and from their sins

Second the Christ meaning the long awaited and prophesied Messiah; and

finally, the Lord which means that this savior is divine and of one being with God the Father or to the shepherds, with Yahweh.

What does this tell us about Jesus' true identity? It tells us that he is the true Messiah, but that He is not simply a man sent by God but that He is God, in other words God made man. In addition it tells us that, contrary to what was at the time of the shepherds common Jewish belief, this Messiah had not come simply to save Israel from its enemies but had come to save all people from not only their enemies but also from their sins. This must have been, and remains, a startling revelation, and good news indeed!
