Q1. Access to the Father (2:16-18)

Recommended Posts

“Access to the Father” is the most important thing in this world. We can talk to him at anytime with petitions and praise and to thank Him for what He has done for us.

The way that having access to the Father is similar as having diplomatic relations is that we can ask for reconciliation whenever we need to. But a relationship with the Father goes much further. We can say anything to the Father but we can’t do that in a diplomatic relationship.

We can have access by believing in the One that He went to us and died for our sins.

Access to the Father is important for us, as it allows us the priviledge of talking with our Great Creator and to have fellowship with Him. In this access, we learn what we are to do and how to live for Him to have Him receive the greatest glory.

As Jesus is the Fathers ambassador, He lets approach the Father's presence without sin, to talk with Him, our great God. In the world an ambassador speaks for his country to another country to make a good foundation for communications.

We have receive this access by the pure love of Jesus, when He died on the cross, taking all my sin upon His body and washing them away in His blood. The Jesus became our High Priest or ambassador between the Father and us. We have done nothing to deserve this nor have we any right to it, except througn Jesus Christ.

Loving God with all our mind, strength, and will and to love our neighbor like we love ourself, cannot be done without the Spirit in our life. We might be able to do it a little, but not like it can be done with the guidance of Holy Spirit in us and the knowledge of helping someone to know the LOVE of GOD in a very personal way.

We need to feel a closeness to the Father. We need to be able to talk to Him and to share our love and concerns with Him. We have a special access to Him. We are His children and therefore we are like diplomates in His kingdom. We obtain this access through accepting Jesus as our savior and our brother.

The two greatest commandments are: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind. Love your neighbor as yourself.

If we truly accept God as our Father, we love Him totally. We go to Him and pour our whole selves into the relationship. We honor and praise Him. We go to Him for help. We hide nothing from Him. And the only way that this is possible is if we have access directly to Him.

If we love Jesus and God so much, we accept and love the others who share this with us. We become a big family by our faith.

q1. (Ephesians 2:16-18) Why is "access to the Father" important? In what way is access to the Father similar having diplomatic relations? How did we obtain this access? Extra credit: How does this access fulfill the two greatest commandments (Matthew 22:36-40) and God's purpose for us?

Prior to the Christians baptism with the Spirit we are really in a conflict with God. Jesus opens the door so we have access to God the Father.  Jesus ushers into the presence of "the Father" -- his Father -- and lets us sit there and talk to the Father about whatever is troubling us. Jesus has made peace and brought us to God.(notes)

God the Father who seats upon the throne is very  above our accessibility. Without Christ we would not have access to the Father.

To love God and our neighbour a very special type of love that comes only through Jesus by way of the Spirit. In order for Jesus to open the door of the sheep fold we need to love Jesus and draw closer to Him. than as he is the door we can pass through to access to the Lord.

Because the Father is the master and can do anything and everything, Jesus Christ even said one is your master even Christ.  Because God is the One with the plan, He knows what He’s doing and how to get everything done that He wants to get done.  Through prayer and the Holy Ghost. Because if we love God with all of our heart, all of are soul, and all of our all of our mind, then He can mold us into being what He wants us to be, we are His children.  Since He loves us we should love one another and live peacefully with all people as much as we can.

Since we have accepted Jesus Christ as our saviour. Now we have access to fellowship with him,we also have access to speak with direct without consulting the Priest. We also have to love Him we all our heart, with all our soul and with all mind.Jesus is the one who loved us first because he died for our sins.
