I wanted to post on Q1 according to Eph 2
In what sense are our non-believing friends, neighbors, and relatives "dead"? What's the difference between us and them? If we really believed that they were "dead" and subject to God's "wrath," what would we do?
We were all dead because of our sins and we walked according to the darkness of the prince of this world. By nature through the fall of Adam the flesh is always weak but with Christ the spirit makes us more than overcomers of the flesh.
When by Grace we accepted Jesus our past sins were covered in the blood and to be remembered no more, we are created new with a future not a past.
If we really believed we are dead because of our sins the spirit would draw us to a change of life through Jesus that we could be obedient children of God and not subject to his wrath. Without truly believing we are wrong there may be some regrets but no real repentence and that is the only thing that will save us, His saving grace through repentence of our sins and living according to His commandments

An ambassador is an official representative on behalf of one country to another, They travel with messages of reconcilation, negotiations, they can be business agents. We as ambassadors are required to take the gospel to the world. We are to go to the highways and byways proclaiming Jesus Christ to all we come in contact with rich or poor.

As believers . we are Christ's ambassadors, sent with His message of reconcilation to the world. An ambassador of reconcilation has an important responsibility. We dare not take this responsibility lightly. How well are you fulfilling your commission as Christ's ambassador?

This has been one of the most awesome studies I have ever went through. Thank You Pastor Ralph and may God continue to bless you with Greater wisdom, strength, and His supernatural power to take the gospel to all the world. Blessing to your family. and God's protection cover you as you send the word forth. In His mighty name Jesus Christ. Amen Rev. Christine Gould

The sending country has sovereignty over the embassy & it's property.

The ambassador represents the one in the country from where he was sent.

His responsibilities are to the persons in the country from where he was sent.

We have been sent of God to represent Him where we are right now. We are responsible to him alone.

The ambassador represents the country that sent him and the place the embassy is on is considered theproperty of that country and protected by them while he is ambassaador there. He has the responsibilty of representing the leaders of the country that he is from and to carry himself in such away as to bring honor and respect to that nation that he is representing.
We have the same calling to be the representive of Christ and to bring others to know and want to serve Him and give Him the honor that is due him for the things He has done for us. Jesus is our king and rules we are to show that in our lives so that other will know that we serve Him and Him alone. We need to be emassaries that go into intercession for the sinners around us that they can come to Christ before it is to late.

No matter where an embassy is located the country from which the ambassador originates has sovereinty over it and the property on which it stands.
An ambassador is the representative of the country that has dispatched him or her.
This person speaks of the policy that is established by the government which dispatches the ambassador. That person is an oracle for the government and it's chief.
As the sole representative of their country an ambassador needs to follow the exact laws and policies that have been established by government as he or she is a reflection of their doctrine. So too, should an ambassador conduct themself with dignity and honor to mirror the image of what they represent, respecting the country in which they are assigned.
As ambassadors for Christ the exact same rules apply to Christians.

An Ambassador of reconcilation has important responsibility. We dare not take this responsibility lightly . We are to fulfil our Commission as Christ's Ambassador properly.

Sovereignty belongs to the one that sends. We belong to God and if He sends us out to proclaim His Word we are to go under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We represent Christ so we are to tell others what we know about God's Kingdom. Let other's know what Christ has done for you and how He sustains you. Tell others about salvation and forgiveness. Pray for them. Help them to make the right choices.
Thanks be to Our Lord Jesus Christ for the peace, joy, love, and grace that He gives each day. He is merciful and quick to forgive. I love Him with my whole heart....

An ambassador represents his conuntry. As Christ's ambassadors, we represent the Lord Jesus Christ.

The responsibility of an ambassador is to represent his country, trnsmit his country's policies, programmes and any other thing that advetises his country to the country where he lives.

We as ambassadors for Christ we should live lives that advertises the Lord jesus Christ, and proclaim His message of salvation to the world around us.

The nation that has sovereignty over the embassy and its property is none. The ambassador represents the government of his or her country in foreign country. He or she has responsibilities to act as an emissary, transmitting messages or negotiations, used of envoys, imperial legates, and business agents of his or her country.

These relate to being an ambassador of Christ that the ambassador of Christ is the representative of Christ, the King of kings and the Lord of Lords, in this earth, that his or responsibility is acting as the emissary of the Kingdom of God, identifying himself or herself with Christ, transmitting Christ's messages, living a life like His as long as we live in this world.

An ambassador is usually 'employed' or is a representative of the country in mention.
His or her 'job' is to liason with others and to represent his or her country in a right and civil manner.
We as Christs ambassadors are to do the same thing, I firmly beleive that, as possessing Christians, if we don't show Christ's light and proclaim the good news we are blaspheming God's name/character and that is of course the third commandment.

Q4. (Ephesians 6:20) Developing this analogy of an ambassador in a foreign land... What nation has sovereignty over the embassy and its property?
The county where the embassy is located has sovereignty.

Who does the ambassador represent?
The Ambassador represents his own county.

What responsibilities does he or she have?

How do these relate to being an ambassador of Christ?
We are Ambassador’s of Christ and our lives should reflect Jesus not reflect on Him. rolleyes.gif

If we meet today and you forget me, you have lost nothing. But if you meet Jesus Christ and forget Him, you have lost everything.

There is more joy in Jesus in 24 hours than there is in the world in 365 days. I know, I've tried them both.

  • Interests:I am always seeking to grow in Christ and to learn more of His Word. I'm married and have two wonderful, grown children who live nearby. I'm writing a very personal book the Lord commisioned me to write in 1991. I said, I don't have anything to say! He said, "you will." Then He gave me some wonderful promises for the future, and shortly after that we lost our business, home car, etc. went through catastrophic losses. The book is about the miraculous way God has taken care of us. We were homeless, but have lacked nothing during a long stay in the wilderness. He is faithful!!! and now He is bringing us out into the promised land.

The Kingdom of God is supreme over all, and to think we are His ambassadors!! What a privilege and responsibility. This reminds me of the hymn ‘Stand Up, Stand Up For Jesus.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus, ye soldiers of the cross;
Lift high His royal banner, it must not suffer loss.
From victory unto victory His army shall He lead,
Till every foe is vanquished, and Christ is Lord indeed.
...
Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the strife will not be long;
This day the noise of battle, the next the victor’s song.
To those who vanquish evil a crown of life shall be;
They with the King of Glory shall reign eternally.

Amen.
