  1. I think Mary was so used to asking Jesus for help that she thought no different of asking him to fix the wine problem. Her husband Joseph was dead and I think she ask for His help in difficult times. I think her asking Jesus to help with the wine was appropriate because she thought He could fix it.As always in thing she had ask before. She knew by asking He would do the right thing. I don't think it was a rebuke I think it was just what He said it wasn't his time. It would be embarrassing to the host of the wedding and to Mary to run out of wine with all the people attending. I think Mary submitted to Jesus and knew He would fix it. Just as in our lives we must submit and and continue to trust that He will work in the best way. I think Jesus did just this in this situation.
  2. We all get so caught up into our own lives and activities we leave family and friends out. Most of family gathering are at Christmas and Thanksgiving which should go be more than these two holiday. Jesus came to save us from our sins healing and teaching but he took time out for this time of being with family and friends. We should take time out for family at all cost that was what Jesus did. In all his works He was to do He took time out and in comparsion to Jesus we have all the time we need.
  3. The versus predicts that he is the Son of God the Messiah who will rule all nations. Jesus will always be the Son Of God he will always be here we worship Him while we are on this earth and when we leave in death if we are one of his we will forever live with Jesus in heaven. So his mission will go on on forever. I praise his Holy Name for giving us all that promise.
  4. Nathanael was not sure of anything good coming out of Nazarareth. When Jesus saw Nathanael he told him he was an Israelite and no guile in him which means he was not fake. The miracle was Jesus told him of some incident under the fig tree which Nathanael alone knew about. Rabbi Son of God King of Israel
  5. Andrew knew that John the Baptist was sent by God . He wanted his brothers to meet the Messiah. John message had been a factor in Andrew following Jesus. Same as today we want our family and friends to follow Jesus and our duty as follower is to tell all about the Messiah. We can tell anyone about Jesus and led them to accept him in a hay field as long as you explain what a difference it will make in their lives and will have eternal life with Jesus. It is good to have a church to help people in their conversion to pray with them and answer all question they have. By being in a good bible based church these people can hear the true word preached and taught. We learn by hearing and I think hearing is best.
  6. Jesus had no set place He wanted them to follow him. Jesus wanted them to go where he went and if it was under a tree or along the side of the beach He wanted to teach them. Being with Jesus today means living our life as his teaching tells us. That means reading and study His word the Bible. Being in prayer for all things helping ones that are in need but most of all turn our live over to Him and follow as did the disciples.
  7. John the Baptist recommend Andrew. The other I think was John the writer of this book. John was pleased to have his disciples to follow Jesus. That was what his job to point people to Jesus. He prepared them them to follow our Saviour.
  8. John's baptism by water was preparatory because it was for repentance and symbolized the washing away of sin. Jesus baptisted with the Holy Spirit sending it upon all believers empowering them to live and teach the message of salvation. This all began when Jesus had risen from the dead and ascended to heaven. see also John 20:22 and Acts 2
  9. In Exodus 29:38-42 it tells every morning and evening a lamb was sacrificed in the Temple for the sins of the people. Isaiah 53:7 prophesied that the Messiah would be led to slaughter like a lamb The sins of the world were removed when Jesus died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice. This is the way our sins are forgiven. All we have to do is confess to and and ask for forgiveness. This is for everyone one and all.
  10. John took himself out of the way. He was doing what Jesus wanted him to do. It is not what we do it is if we are doing for the Lord. we are to expect no glory for doing the work of the Lord. When we truly understand who Christ is our self-importance and pride melts away. John sees himself as a lowly servant not even fit to unlatch our Saviour sandals. A person has to remember who called them to preach Gods word. You don't wake up one day and say I am a preacher. You are called by our Lord Jesus Christ. It can co-exist if we always remember who put us in the place to preach and teach his Word. All the glory has to be given to the Lord we do nothing on our own. we have to decreased and the Lord has to increase PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME
  11. John was baptizing to get ready for the one greater than him. This is what he was telling the Pharisees. John told all that He baptist with water,he was just helping the people perform a symbolic act of repentenace that soon one would come to truly forgive sins. Some thing only the Son of God -the Messiah could do. The people listened to John,if he was not worthy of unlatching his sandals how much more could the one coming after John could be. I believe John got through to these people and all was baptist and waiting for the mighty one. They wanted to be pure and perfect for Jesus.
  12. These people had no idea who John the Baptist was. They did not want an unknown to have a bigger following than themselves. they felt threaten. The leaders that come were pharisees a group that John the Baptist and Jesus often denounced. John was doing what the Lord had called him to do.He was preparing the people for the coming of the Lord. Much conflict. John was preaching and teaching repentance and to be baptist for the Lord was at hand. praise the blessed Saviour.
  13. 1. And the word was made flesh means becoming human. By doing so Christ became: The perfect teacher. In Jesus life we see how God thinks and therefore see how we should think. 2.The perfect example: shows us what we are to become and gives us the power to live that way 3.The perfect sacrifice:Jesus came as a sacrifice for all sins and his death satisfied God's requirements for the removal of sin 2. Everything we do as a christian would be in vain. After Christ came and walk as man we could fully know him. Jesus is both God and man. 3. God brought me from a muddy pit to become one of his children. He made possible that I would always have someone to talk to and go to in my time of need.. The Lord is my light and my salvation. 4. When you try to do things without God we make a mess God's word has showed me to always go to him first. God will always be there for us.
  14. All who takes Jesus as Lord of there life are reborn spiritually receiving a brand new life from God. If you take Jesus Christ as your saviour you have to have faith that your life will be change inside out. Being reborn spiritually will make you feel alive and put you in Gods family. This fresh start in our lives is available to all who believe in our Lord Jesus Christ. To the ones who accept the Lord is in his family for the ones who don't are walking in darkness and will not have eternal life with our heavenly Father.
  15. John was put here to show he was here to prepare the way for unbelievers. He was put here by God. God was the Light and John was telling the unbelievers to walk in the light and not fall into sin. If you walk in darkness you will blindly walk in sin. We are all Gods witness we should tell others what God has done for us. That is testimony in it self. I once was lost but now am found was blind but now I see. In testifying to others brings me closer to the Lord and it could bring the one we are testifying to fully accepting the Lord as their Saviour. John the Baptist was be headed
  16. John shows Jesus as fully human and fully God. Jesus took upon himself full humanity and lived as a man,he never ceased to be the eternal God who has always existed, the Creator and Sustainer of all things and the source of eternal life. Remember that we exist only because God made us and each one of us have special gifts that God gave us. Apart from God we are nothing because we abandoned the purpose for which you were made.
  17. 1.We have to remember that Jesus Christ is the word (John 1-1). If we live our lives as leaders , preacher we have to live by the word. Our lives we live should be in the image of Jesus Christ the word. 2. There is no other kind of power than the word of God. The word of God is there for us in any situation were in.It will guide us it will lead us we only have to not only read it we must study it. There is no problems we have that we can go to the bible with prayer and find a solution. When you read verse and dont' understand pray for understanding I promise it will come. The word is truth so that is what we will get. PRAISE THE LIVING GOD
  18. No loving father would put his children in harms way, in the same way we should take new belivers under our wings until they are mature enough to stand firm in their faith. Men are looked upon as leaders and as an authorative figure. but there is godly women in church that can do the same as males. A godly women is a powerful tool in doing Gods work inside and outside of the church. If you are living for Jesus Christ male or female you can do Gods work effectively. There was women who follow Jesus and done wonders on their journey.
  19. Gentleness is love in action.Paul did not bully what he was preaching to the the people. He used kindness and consider others feeling. When somone is led to the Lord we cant' forget them we have to help them understand and let them ask question and be gentle and kind also listen to them. It is the same for men as women we all need to maintain a gentle attitude in our relationships with others. God does not make rules for men and rules for women. We are all to be Christ like.
  20. Flattery Paul preached in a way that everyone could understand. Church leaders thrive on praise and flattery. to answer this question this must happen in churches Jesus must INCREASE, we must DECREASE
  21. We have to stand up for the Lord no matter how we are persecuted. People will scoff at you talk about you call you a crazy Jesus person but through it all STAND FOR JESUS. We all want to get a long with others but if we try to lead people to Christ you will lose many so called friends. It takes pure courage to keep up with trying to lead others to Chrisit. This Pslams help me Pslams 27: The Lord is my light and salvation, whom shall I fear. This verse helps me in giving me courage to draw others to Christ. If we dont' stand up and have courage to tell about Jesusand Him crucified how do we expect the church to have courage. It will offend some but most will belive and will be brought to Christ no matter what the price we pay for presenting it to the congreation. The truth is they want it but fear keeps them from being redeemed. REMEMBER PSLAM 27 READ IT DAILY. HAVE MORE COURAGE AND SPREAD HIS MESSAGE AT ANY COST. PRAY FOR ME THAT i CAN BE MORE COURAGEOUS. , A lot of us have sit back and let unbelivers have their way, no prayer in schools,no posting of the commandments same sex marriage.
  22. 1.Wait upon the Lord and Jesus is our Saviour. As surely as he died on the cross and rose from the grave He will come again. 2. All are important we are to study God's word and live our life as if today is the day of his return. We as belivers know that Jesus is God our Holy Saviour. 3.The Holy Spirit. It is hard for people to realize that they are in complete without Jesus Christ in their lives. We need faith and hope in our lives to know that there is a Second Coming and many don' have it.
  23. 1. We have to walk in the image of Christ if we say we are christians to draw others to Christ. If we walk the walk then we must talk the talk. if we say we are christians then let us walk in the image of our Saviour Jesus Christ. 2.If we leave out the Holy Spirit then there is no ministry. It has to be there. Pray for the sprit if you can not feel it in a service. 3. The leader has to be a beliver of Christ and live his life in the image of Him. A leader and is someone that tells the truth and belives in what he tells others. He is to be strong faith and tells other about the true word in our bible. 4. The bible tells us if we dont' hear how can we learn. It is our duty to tell others about Christ we are all minister of Christ and need to go where the word is not heard. 5.I fail daily but it is very important to live my life so my family can see Jesus in me and pass it on to others.
  24. 1. Without the Holy Spirit in our lives, worship and prayers all our words are meaningless. When we tell others about Jesus Christ the Spirit has to be there to direct what we say and to convict others to lead them to salvation. 2.Our will power is not enough it takes God power which is the Holy Spirit. when we pray the Holy Spirit takes our prayer and makes it understandable and takes it straight to God.
  25. 1.The Holy Spirit changes people when they believe We can do nothing on our own. When we tell others about Jesus Christ we have to let the Holy Sprit lead them and open their eyes that they need salvation. 2.God's power changes not our power without the Holy Spirit our words to others are meaningingless.Pray that the Holy Spirit is with you when telling others about Christ. 3.The people Paul was preaching to believe what He was saying to them and lived it. 4. My thoughts on this is we do see miracles when the Holy Spirit touches someone and they give their live to Christ. The Bible tells us all angels in heaven rejouices when just one soul is saved, to me that is a miracle. 5. Problem is not letting the Holy Spirit in our worship. If God is not in our worship service we feel nothing. People sit in church services and quinch the Holy Spirit. I have been in a church and never feel nothing simply because the spirit is not there.
