  1. Any love we have that puts God in the back seat. We love our family, but if we rather sin than see our family does without; our family has then been made into a God and God is no longer the one controlling our lives.
  2. The whole passage is encouraging in that no matter where you are in your walk with God, you will make it to the next level. John doesn
  3. Hate and unforgiveness are from the devil. God is love. It
  4. Honesty about ourselves should help us from being legalistic. We wake up and the sun shines; we have a good breakfast get dressed; get in the car to drive to work or school. Someone cuts in front of us in another car. We keep our composure maybe the first time, but the next one to cut in front of us we are ready to give up all the victory which Christ has laid on us. We have no right to be legalistic for our lives are nowhere close to the way Jesus lived on this earth. When we see others sin we need to realize if it wasn
  5. Some years ago, Degarmo & Key made a song about this teenager who listens to a preacher
  6. When Adam sinned, he cast the whole world under the condemnation of his sin. Every human being born from a man and women was bound to commit sin. Sin brings us to the inevitable point of death. There was no way out for any human until Jesus died for the sins of the world on the cross. Once He died, humans can now bow before God and admit that he or she is a sinner and needs to be saved. At that point, the person no longer needs to sin; Jesus died so that people don
  7. When Christians live a state of continuous sin, we are not living to the fullest extent of the salvation which the death and resurrection of Christ has provided. It
  8. What a human puts his faith in will show where he or she is headed and the place their lives will end up once their life comes to an end. People can set their hearts to make as much money as possible in their lives, or to find the love of their lives, or a good name for themselves. Though these things have a certain value on this earth, one must remember that anything earthly can and will change as quickly as the Hurricane Ike in Texas does. It can pick speed, lessen in its force and leave nothing but disaster as it travels. Abraham was righteous not by what he had done, or by what he possessed; rather Abraham righteousness came because he put his faith in God who created the heaven and the earth. By that one act alone, Abraham was righteous in God
  9. Hi my name is Mark I am from Arizona in the United States of America. I am glad to be here to take this lesson. I hope and pray to get much information from this and to complete this lesson.
  10. Can you you show where God or Jesus was on this earth under another name before? Melchizedek was a high priest because he was a man. He could not forgive sins without the slaying of a sacrifice. Jesus didn't need to slay a sacrifice to forgive sins. Jesus is God's son (God). Mark Hope
  11. The actual request is to give to others as God gave to us. This makes us more in the image of God. Just as He gave we give.
  12. We should continually offer the sacrifice of praise from our lips, we should remember to do good and share with others. This pleases God.
  13. Jesus is the same, He will never change. He always wants to please God and do His will. Jesus had died for our sins and will take care of us because he loves us. He always has loved us He always will.
  14. We need to remember where we came from before Jesus washed our sins away. We were strangers in sin; we were also prisoners in sin, until God
  15. The writer of Hebrews is saying because we are saved we need to live Holy. Before Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden, Man could make the choice if he was going to sin or not. Because Adam choice to sin, he put all man in a place where no matter if he wanted to or not, everything man did, equated to sin. Once we get saved we are back at a point where we can choose to sin or not. Jesus asks for our hearts because God changes man from the inside to the outside. So because our hearts have been changed through the blood of Jesus Christ, our actions will change. I feel that if we habitually sin without asking God to forgive us our sins, then there has been no heart change done in us. We need to get hold of God and ask Him to change our hearts so we can get saved. The devil convinced Eve to get Adam to sin, so that it didn
  16. It is part of God showing His love for us his children. It goes along with meeting our needs. Because God loves us He supplies all our needs. Because He loves us He disciplines us so we grow into men and women of God.
  17. We begin to see it is not us against the world. Rather it is our loving Father working things out in us. The benefits is if we allow God to do His work in us, we will be changed more into the likeness off God, souls will be saved, lives will be touched, and God gets the glory.

  19. Christians would like to sometimes consider the warfare as warfare with the Christian and God on one side and the devil on the other. But in reality many times it God on one side and us on the other and the devil sitting back watching. It gets weary because we many times are struggling against God instead of just following His leading. We need to resist the devil continuously in order that we get the blessing from God. We resist for our own good. Yes. But I have learned that you cannot quit. We must ask God for forgiveness when we fall and continue on. Victory is ours.
  20. This I feel the cloud of witness is much like faith. The unsaved that alive is a wintness that we should not go their way. The ones that died show us also. The same with the saved. Everything around you can get one to believe in anything. So everything around you can convince one to follow whatever you put your faith in. The Egyptians had reasons to believe they were going to defeat the Israelites because everything around them witnessed to them or most things around them did. If you believe that God is whom you believe lay aside everything else and go for God. Jesus was there in the beginning, because He is the Word. He is the pioneer of our faith because He is the only one that lived and never sinned. He lived by faith because He had to trust God every step of His life here on earth. Jesus is the finisher because He completed His mission on this earth and He is up in heaven with God without sinning.
  21. I feel the powerful motivating factor behind the actions the people took is that what God says He will do, and He does. This faith was based on what was seen before and what God did in the lives of their ancestors. The faith of the Israelites was the same and differed from the faith of the Egyptians. Both the Egyptians and the Israelites had faith based on past experiences. The difference was what they put their faith in. Egyptians placed their faith on their own strength and their shrewdness to defeat the Israelites. While the Israelites saw that placing their trust in themselves would get them nowhere fast. If they were to survive God was the only one they could believe in. Faith is good and helpful as long as it is placed on the correct source. If Rehab she trusted God or if she depended on being shrewd, both would have taken real faith; because faith is faith. What makes faith work is what you place your faith in. Rahab placed her faith in the God as opposed to the Egyptians who put their faith in themselves, their horses, their chariots, in anything but the true and living God. This is why Rahab made it.
