Q2. Redeemer and Ransom
MarkH replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 8. Jesus, Our Willing Sacrifice (Hebrews 9:13-10:18)
Without Jesus we can -
Abraham was really expecting God to provide a sacrifice. Abraham knew God is faithful that promises. God told Abraham that his seed could be numbered as the sands of the sea. God also told Abraham to try and count the stars in the heavens, that

The external sacrificial regulations were unable to cleanse or perfect the conscience because if the sin was intentional those sins were not cleansed. The guilt of those sins must have lingered in the minds of the people for years. There was no way that the people could go before God through the high priest without fearing that God might try to avenge for the intentional sins of the past. After accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, when we sin we must ask God to forgive our sins; whither intentional or not. God will then wash our sins in the sea of forgetfulness and cleanse us from our unrighteousness.

Jesus is the mediator between God and man. Without Jesus God has no dealing with man. Jesus is our mediator between the payment for sin and man. Jesus paid the price for our sins. Once we accept Jesus as Lord of our lives, we owe nothing for sin as if we never committed a sin. Jesus became our mediator when He shed His Blood on the cross and died for our sins.

Q4. Christ, our High Priest
MarkH replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 6. Jesus, Our High Priest Forever (Hebrews 6:13-7:28)
Human high priests had to offer a sacrifice for their own sins first before they could offer different sacrifices for the people. The sacrifices had to be made daily. When Jesus took the position of high priest, He only needed to sacrifice himself once for all our sins. Because He never sinned He didn -
Q3. Christ, our Intecessor
MarkH replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 6. Jesus, Our High Priest Forever (Hebrews 6:13-7:28)
Jesus can save completely because he died for our sin; yet he is still alive. He is our high priest because the priesthood will not change. He will live forever. We have to look forward to our flesh dying but we will live forever with our Lord and Savior who sits with His Father. The priest needs to intercede for the people so that we make it to the promise land. -
Q1. Anchor of our Hope
MarkH replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 6. Jesus, Our High Priest Forever (Hebrews 6:13-7:28)
Once we realized there was price that needed to be paid for sin, we went to the One who willingly paid the price for our sin and the sin of Adam. We actively hold on to the hope because we are not there yet. Yes Jesus -
Q4. Patient Endurance
MarkH replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 5. Warnings Against Apostasy (Hebrews 5:11-6:12)
There are two was to look at this. One way to look at this is to see this as Jesus loves me, but if His way takes too long I have to find another way. Another way to look at this is Jesus loves me so I know God is faithful who promised. This means that every promise that God has in His word will come to pass. I will die to my flesh. I will not let any thought that comes into my head to go contrary to God -

Q2. Spirit-filled Christian
MarkH replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 5. Warnings Against Apostasy (Hebrews 5:11-6:12)
I see no difference between the Christians back then and the Christians today. We are all born through the blood that Jesus shed on the cross. What they had, we have today. Taking just these two verses into consideration, I see the writer asking what are you going back to? What we left was something that didn -
Q1. Growing in Maturity
MarkH replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 5. Warnings Against Apostasy (Hebrews 5:11-6:12)
Friends of mine had a child over a year ago. While visiting and babysitting I have learned many things about growing children. Maturing is a process the parents and the child work together on. The parents cannot make the child mature before the child is ready to mature; at the same time the child can -
Q5. Being Made Perfect
MarkH replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 4. Jesus, Our Sympathetic High Priest (Hebrews 4:14-5:10)

Q3. Coming Boldly
MarkH replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 4. Jesus, Our Sympathetic High Priest (Hebrews 4:14-5:10)
To approach the throne of grace means you have confessed your sins and made Jesus the Lord of your life. So you have nothing to worry about or be afraid of. You have been washed in the blood of the Lamb. You are promised God -
Holding fast to our confession has to do our high priest, Jesus Christ. Without Jesus we would be on the road to hell and damnation. Because Jesus took our place on the cross, humans have an opportunity to stand in front of God and have our sins removed from our lives, once we confess our sins and ask Jesus into our hearts. At that point, when we turn from our sins, we have an opportunity to go and live with God our father. This is done through the holding on to the confession that Jesus Christ is Lord of our lives. We then can be assured that we will end in heaven as Jesus did.

Here again is another question that is answered by saying in every way possible. The world is crazy if it were not for God, I would have lost my mind. It not that the world is so bad and I am so good; rather it
