Q3. (Ephesians 1:11-12) According to verses 11 and 12, what is God's purpose for our lives? What do we need to do to fulfill this purpose? How does this purpose relate to Matthew 5:13-16?

Our purpose is to bring praise to God. To fulfill this purpose we only need to believe in Him and let him work His will through us. As Matt. 5:13-16 states, we are the salt of the earth to let His light shine through us, by our good deeds and noble life style.

Q3. (Ephesians 1:11-12) According to verses 11 and 12, what is God's purpose for our lives? What do we need to do to fulfill this purpose? How does this purpose relate to Matthew 5:13-16?

-To Praise Him,and that we would live a life that Glorifies His Holy Name

What do we need to do to fulfill his purpose?-NOTHING..just Receve Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour and live the love that God has for you,and everything will just flows out naturally without you knowing that God's purpose has been fulfilled in your life.

Matthew 5:13-16-..Is the result of who you are in Christ after you recieved Jesus..You are now the SALT and LIGHT of the world..which means you need to live who you are in Christ, and this attributes will be seen by people around you without you trying to be SALT and LIGHT..for these are nothing but fruits of being born again..

God wants us to be a praise to His glory. He wants our lives to show the greatest of Jesus every day that we live. We need to be a light, a beacon for all to see. We need to live by Jesus' love. Everything we do, we need to do to show the world that Jesus is in us. Matthew 5:13-16 tells us about this purpose. He defines how our lives are to be used for the purpose of showing the world who Jeus is. We need to show the world that "God is not dead."

Our purpose is to praise and bring praise to God. (That’s just awesome)
What we need to do to fulfill this purpose is to be “in Christ”.

Now, as for how it relates to Mathew, is the best part. We could stay home every day and praise the Lord in our home but how does that make us “Jesus like”? How does that show His generous love for others? And how is that challenging for us? Praising God by ourselves is wonderful but Jesus said that those who love Him, follow His commands. How can we praise Him if we don’t love Him? Or love others?

Loving, serving, and bringing light to those around us is what Jesus taught, we want to be like Jesus and for people to see what being more like Jesus looks like. Not only we could help them come to Jesus but we also bring Him praise.

I have to add that the sad part is that most religious people or “followers of Jesus “ are often seen as hypocrites, we need to step up to fulfill this beautiful purpose.

The 11th verse starts with, "In Him we were ALSO chosen ..." which makes me wonder to what the "also" refers. Could it be referring back to the 7th verse which has the same phraseology?

7 -- In Him we have redemption ...

11 -- In Him we were also chosen ...

IMHO, the 11th verse seems to continue the idea expressed in the 7th verse. This means the praise-as-our-purpose clause is somehow connected to the end times, or when "the times have reached their fulfillment."

Having said that, praise is important. Obviously. I'm not sure praise is the sum-total of God's purpose for my life, but certain an aspect of it that needs more developing.

It seems that this verse stresses the conformity of everything, or how everything works together, to complete His will or fulfill His purpose.  When we conform to His will, we are for the "praise of His glory," (an odd passive phrase.)

We need to reflect His glory, as the moon reflects the sun.  We are to bring praise and glory to God.  He has destined us to live for His praise, and  "We are to let Christ's light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds
and praise your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)

The purpose for our lives is to bring praise and glory to our heavenly Father. We bring honour and glory to Him by the way we live, by living a life in obedience to His commands. “I have hidden Your Word in my heart that I might not sin against You” (Psalm 119:11). To fulfil this purpose, we need to reflect Jesus Christ; people must be able to see the Lord Jesus in our actions. We are to be like salt creating a thirst for greater knowledge of our Lord, to tell the world the Good News of Christ. At the same time, we are to be seen a preservative against the evils of society. As a light we are to shine and give direction, radiating love and pointing others to the proper path (Matthew 5:16).

God had created us to be the glory of His praise.  Our purpose is to expressively give Him praise not only for the things He does, but for who He is.  We are destined  to live for glory of His praise.  In order to give Him the praise, we need only to have the confidence that we are chosen by God and to live a life that is reflective of His glory.

Our purpose of praise as related to Matthew 5:13-16 in that we are to be that light He placed in us that shines ever-so-brightly that all may see our good deeds and glorify God.

We are predestined to the inheritance that is ours; we aren't predestined just for adoption; we have a sure portion in heaven which cannot be frustrated or defeated.  The purpose of God is stated in Ephesians 1:3-5,12; 2:7,10; 3:6, 10-11.,

We are called by God to be living epistles to this forward and deceitful generation. We are the salt of the earth due to God's GRACE ALONE.  We don't pride ourselves with our own righteousness.    1 Peter 2:9 is our commission.   What a wonderful calling we have !   Called out of darkness to serve the Living God.  The Holy Spirit gives us new desires new goals to fulfill our holy callings.  The work of the Holy Spirit wrought in the hearts of the newly converted to live sanctified lives and to get into ministry.

We have only one  way to Jesus Christus, if we User the purpose of his will.

Or

No Way out without Jesus!

1. According to verses 11 and 12, what is God's purpose for our lives?

Though god has a specific purpose for every individual -- some to sing, others to preach/teach, and some to be missionaries -- He has a much broader and ultimate purpose for every believer, and that purpose is found in verses 11 and 12. God's ultimate purpose for all believers is to bring praise to Him and bring glory to His glorious name!

2.What do we need to do to fulfill this purpose? How does this purpose relate to Matthew 5:13-16?

Obviously there are a few things we need to do to fulfill this. Some of the ways are by professing our faith and by being obedient to God and what He calls us to do, but specifically in this lesson regarding to Matthew 15:13-16, we see that we can accomplish this ultimate purpose of praising and glorifying God by being as lights (or likes mirrors; reflecting God's greatness in our lives) who shine God's greatness in our lives. In other words, we can accomplish this by showing God and His greatness in/through our lives and through our works!

THANK YOU GOD!!!!!!!

Q3. (Ephesians 1:11-12) According to verses 11 and 12, what is God's purpose for our lives? What do we need to do to fulfill this purpose? How does this purpose relate to Matthew 5:13-16?

God's purpose for lives is to praise his  glory and that who ever sees us sees His glory.

we need to totally surrender to him our lives in listening and doing His will.

It also reffers to us as light and salt in this it's others to benefit from the brightness of your life and the taste in you being the salt. This taste and brightness we get them from Him the light of the world.

God’s purpose was for us to have eternal life and have faith in him

God has made us to be a mirror -- to reflect his glory and help people see a glimmer of his greatness living in human flesh.

If we are the salt of the earth then we are to have faith in God. shining the light on him with our focus of him
