Q4. Sacrifices of Praise and Good Deeds

Recommended Posts

Q4. (Hebrews 13:15-16)

Though the sacrifice for atonement has been completed in Christ, what kinds of sacrifices or offerings are Christians called upon to make?

What effect do these offerings have on God?

Our entire life ought to be a song of adulation expressed in words and deeds. This we can do by living a holy life, loving the Lord with heart, soul, and mind, and of loving one's neighbour as oneself. When we say that we love the Lord, we must be ready to help our neighbours in need. We are to offer Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise. Since there is nothing we can do to earn God

Jesus Christ has paid the full debt owing for my salvation -- I belong to him -- all I have -- my longings and desires and my future belong to him.

Perhaps this is best expressed through Romans 12 verse 1: "I urge you brothers in view of God's mercy to offer your whole lives as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you will be able to test and approved what God's will is - -his good, perfect and pleasing will." - Paul

God is pleased with the offering of our lives for His service - it honours the tremendous sacrifice His son made on the cross and brings Him great joy. it is evidence of our love for him .. for Jesus said he who loves me would obey my commands. John 14.

We are called to give spiritual sacrifices, praises and thanksgiving to Him. We are to do good and share with others. Some will end up giving their lives for Christ, physically not just spiritually. In these offerings God is pleased. B)

God wants our praises! He wants grateful hearts! We receive so many blessings from Him-many go unnoticed! Also, God wants us to do good to others, and that way, we show our love for Him. Not works for salvation-just being grateful! Thank You, Jesus!

God is very happy with His children when they praise Him! What parent doesn't enjoy the thanks that his children give him or her?

Christians are called to reject worldly things and things of the world. We must offer up and give God the praise he deserves all the time, offering Him the fruit of our lips confessing His name. We must also do well and share with others by bringing glory to God. There is nothing we can do to earn His favor but; we can delight Him with our praise and living a life that is pleasing to Him.

Q4. (Hebrews 13:15-16) Though the sacrifice for atonement have been completed in Christ, what kinds of sacrifices or offerings are Christians called upon to make? What effect do these offerings have on God?

The sacrifices or offerings Christians are called upon to make in: praise, offering up the fruit of our lips in praise and worship to the Lord; and by our sacrifice and good deeds. We are to share what we have with others, this way others can see and give praise to God our Father. And we are to live out our life on earth as example of Christ.

These are the offerings we are commanded to make, praising him with our lips and share with others, these things are a pleasing delight to the Lord.

God is pleased when we call upon his name with praise and adoration, giving him honor and glorifying him.  He wants us to love one another and share with each other in the blessings he gives us.  He is please when we live our lives according to his word and purpose, for that is man's whole duty.  That is why we were created, to worship and praise and adore him.  When we accept him as our Savior we are to do his will and live our lives praising him and showing others the way to live to be pleasing in his sight so that we can have eternal life with him which he has promised us.

The sacrifices we are to bring are those of acknowledgment, praise, good deeds, and adoration to the Lord. They please God when they are made.
