Q4. Adhering to 'Good Doctrine'

Recommended Posts

Q4. (Romans 6:17b) How does good doctrine affect the way we live? It makes leading a good life easier

Why should we honour good doctrine? It lights our way in the world today while remaining faithful to the original message.

If we shouldn't look down on doctrine itself, what kind of teaching should we be avoiding? If we have Christ within, then we should avoid what doesn't ring true in our hearts.

Q4. (Romans 6:17b) How does good doctrine affect the way we live? Why should we honor good doctrine? If we shouldn't look down on doctrine itself, what kind of teaching should we be avoiding?

1. A sound doctrine that sticks to the word of God will keep us as Christians with a sound mind. A sound mind will keep us all from fear. In today's world, with the elections coming up, the restructing we see God doing in Wall and in our nation. He is aligning us with His word from the prayers of the Saints and for the end time prophetic words from His word.

We do not have to fear or want for His supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory so we no longer have to look and fear what will happen tomorrow for His say's tomorrow for it will take care of itself. Aren't we blessed to know these things and get comfort from His word.

2. To honor good doctrine is honor the Lord. So many gave their lives so the word of God could be written for who is willing to read it. Today it is still the same for many and we should always remember that when we open His word. It is an honor to be able to go and buy a bible any time we want to or get on the internet and read it. So many cherish a torn page of it just to get to read from it what they can.

3. We must avoid any doctrine that takes away for the work of the cross and the name of Jesus. There isn't thing to say outside of that.

Romans 6:17 A good doctrine affects the way we live as long as it is the truth of the gospel, and we are being taught correctly in how to live a holy and rightious life to God.We should honor good doctrine because it is the written truth of God; containing instructions on how we should live..We should avoid any teaching that is not true to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

(Scripture) 1st Timothy 6:3-If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teachings,4:he is conceited and understands nothing.

There is a lot of false doctrine out there, that can mislead us, watered down,as Pastor Ralph says.

Good doctrine or teaching will teach us how to apply scriptural truths to our lives and how to grow in Christlikeness.

It is a vital part of our spiritual development.

However 'all scripture is God-given for instruction, correction and discipline.' Sorry I have forgotten the rest of the verse. ALL doctrine, whether heard for the first time or from a lifetime christian friend or a trusted pastor, MUST be prayed over and tested against the Bible.

If it doesn't match up, rebuke the teacher and move away from it.

Good doctrine or good teaching will produce the right thinking, the right belief, and of course righteous living in people. On the other hand hand, wrong doctrine will only succeed in leading people away from the truth and eventually to obeying Satan.

We should therefor avoid false teaching or doctrine and endeavour to identify good doctrine and stick to it.

Good doctrine or teaching lets us know what is righteous and what is evil and how we should enhance the

good in our lives . It is alos a tool for teaching others the good that can effect their lives. Good doctrine

gives us a good pattern to follow in being christ like.

We should honor good doctrine beca use it is the tool by which christ's teachings were handed on to us and

it is the tool thru which we will be able to pass on the message of the Gospel in our times. it was handed

on to us we must hand it down to others it is the way the message will be passed thru the enerations.

We should avoid teaching that is watered down doctrine that does not give the strong christian message

or doctrine that has been changed to reflect political correctness or someones personal view that is in

direct opposition to the true message of christ.

Good doctrine affects the way we live by helping us realize that we can have victory over sin.

We should honor good doctrine because it teaches us that it is possible to obey God and set our minds on the things of the Spirit.

The kind of teaching we should be avoiding is that which waters down the message of the gospel or twists the meaning of scripture in order to make it politically correct.

Good doctrine guides us in living a Christian life. Correctly interpreted for the age, it transmits to us what God has passed on in the writings of the Bible. We should avoid teachings that are self-serving, designed to not create waves (politically correct), or interpreted in a manner that rationalizes behavior by claiming that the Bible is old fashioned.

Q4. (Romans 6:17b) How does good doctrine affect the way we live? Why should we honor good doctrine? If we shouldn't look down on doctrine itself, what kind of teaching should we be avoiding?

Doctrine is the set of principles by which a group lives. We live according to the teaching within the group we have adopted. It affects the way the group operates, or the way we lead the group. It is essential that we subscribe to excellent doctrine - and we are all responsible for checking that the teaching is biblically correct. This has much to do with the unity in the group, and unity is the subject of Jesus' last prayer before he died.

We need to do everything possible to align our lives with the word of God correctly, and good doctrine is the means of enabling people to do this, and therefore to live effectively and powerfully, and to affect their world for the Lord.

We must avoid any teaching which twists the scripture to its own purpose and does not clearly reflect Jesus Christ Himself.

If we study The Word like we should, then we will know what it says and we will obey. We have to study it for ourselves, so that we will know when the truth is being taught, and when a lie is being taught.

Good doctrine is teachings that are of good moral value. Just as the Bible teaches that we are to love one another (ultimately take care of one another), good doctrine always benefits the whole; this doctrine is not selfish. Of course to seek out knowledge for morals and values, you will be a better person for following such doctrine. Beware of doctrine that allows for harm to another; this mindset always leads to death and destruction.

Q4. (Romans 6:17b) How does good doctrine affect the way we live? Why should we honor good doctrine? If we shouldn't look down on doctrine itself, what kind of teaching should we be avoiding?

Good doctrine is the good news that Jesus died for our sins and was raised to give us eternal life. Jesus' resurrection also resurrected us into a new life. We honor good doctrine because it is the word of God, which has been written to instruct and guide us. We should avoid anything that is contrary to the word of God.

Rom 6:17 But thank God that, though you were once slaves of sin, you became obedient from your hearts to that form of teaching with which you were entrusted!

Good doctrine helps us understand the Word of God and following that we can live our lives according to how God has planned. Good doctrine is the learning of the word and applying it to times that we live in. It helps us to understand what the Lord is saying to us. We need to avoid teachings that are not in line with what the Word says or doctrines that have been watered down to be politically correct or to fit in with what the people want.

is telling us the proper life style.A droctine telling us bad stuff.

Q4. (Romans 6:17b) How does good doctrine affect the way we live? Why should we honor good doctrine? If we shouldn't look down on doctrine itself, what kind of teaching should we be avoiding?

Doctrine is defined by a "body of beliefs about God, humankind, Christ, the church and other related concepts considered authoritative and thus worthy of acceptance by all members of the community of faith. Paul says that the Roman believers accepted from the heart that form of doctrine to which they were delivered. The Roman believers accepted the slavation by faith, that Jesus was the MessiaH and that God raised Jesus from the dead. Paul says that having been delivered and been set free then they became slaves of righteousness. We should honor the doctrine to which we were delivered because is how we manifest our love and belief in what God says and wants for us. We should avoind any doctrine that do no cover those three items mentioned above and any false doctrine that emphasizes self in any way. The gospel and what it means for us is the good news and that"form of doctrine to which we were delivere and that is enough!

Good doctrine is the basis of our inner beliefs which guide our behavior. We honor good doctrine or sound teaching as it is God's word in the Bible. We should avoid watered down doctrine or false teachers (1 Timothy and 2 Timothy).

Doctrine has to do with the actual teaching of the Word. Our understanding of the Bible guides us in the way we serve and glorify God and the way we pass the Message on to other. We should avoid teaching that leads to an attitude of defeat--that we just sin constantly and there is not cure for this because we are human. We have the Holy Spirit to give us strength in our weakness.

The dodtrine in which we follow we do so wholeheartedly. It is a unique expression, pattern a message of what Christ did for us.We should honor this doctrine since it is a gift from God. We should avoid false doctrines, any thing that goes against what Jesus has said, or what is written the Bible.

Bad doctrine and its effects can been seen throughtout church history. As a blood bought church we should honor and acknowledge sound doctrine. Sound scripture based doctrine gives confidence and security to Gods people.

As a redeemed people we should not listen or entertain any form of doctrine that we know is false or against that we have been shown through Gods holy word.

We should avoid any doctrine or teaching that is not based on Gods love and His wonderful grace and redemption throught the life giving blood of Jesus Christ.

1Thessalonians 2:13

For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us,you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.

Thank you Lord for saving me.
