Q2. (Ephesians 1:9-10) What is the significance that all things will be brought under one head -- Christ himself? How does this relate to the Creator? What does it say about unity? Extra Credit: How does this verse relate to 1 Corinthians 15:24-28?

I think the significance of all things being brought under one head 'Christ Jesus', is that we were created for heavenly things, our earthly lives are just a mere vapour in comparison to the fullness of what God has prepared for His children. We are made to glorify God and given Him complete devotion, whilst on earth we are sinful and selfish and are more inclined to worship self. Yet God made us in His image and one day we shall be fully delivered from the fetters that keep us from pure worship. Oh my soul magnify the Lord for He has done, and is doing, and will do wondrous things beyond our comprehension. On the day of all things being brought to a head we shall be joined as one church, as one people with one desire, and that will be to worship Him.

The significance is that everyone in every church of believers will be brought together to worship only Christ. All conflicts of doctrine will be washed away and all will finally be united under the one true god..Christ. Even the earth will be brought into submission before Him. The creator said that this unity was part of the redemption plan for the predestined in Christ (all men, if they will). It will be wonderful to note that all disease, hatred, pestilence, war will be over and the unity in one whole body of people and earth will be reunited under Christ. Eph 1:9-10 relates to the 1 Cor verse by showing that until all things are under Christ's feet and everyone is one united body then God the Father will be superior and Christ will be subject to Him. Then God will finally be over all. :P

God provided a way, through his son Chirst Jesus. God has given him; Jesus a name that is far above all names, all powers, all principalities, all dominions. Lord. With that all things, all beings are placed under his authority, his leadership. The heaven(s) will be administered by a loving, just, benevolent God, creator. Our creator, God; gave Adam authority over the earth and all that is contained within. He through rebellion forfited his rulership over the earth. Jesus, having become the 2nd Adam, lived the life none of us could, tempted in all things willing became God's sacrafice upon even a cross to "buy back", redeem both man and this planet through the eternal laws that he created. Now with Chirst's work completed, he has redeemed man back to himself, the authority over the earth are all legally back under his control. All his enemies are under his feet. Judgement, and wages will be met for those who have rebelled against God. Both fallen angels and fallen man. Heaven, earth and all within are now in unity under the authority of Christ. The relation to 1st Chorinthians 15: 24-28 I believe I've answered already. Everything is now under Chirst. Jesus will give everything back to his father.

after the earthis rid of all rebellion whichmade it necessary for them to take separate parts in the creation and redemption of all things.

God's plan from the very beginning was for everything to come together under Christ's headship; from the first sacrifice of an animal to cover the nakedness of Adam and Eve (which only needed to be covered because they had sinned) every event in the Bible has been a step toward that fulfillment. John 1:3 shows how this relates to the Creator because "all things were made through Him (Jesus Christ) and without Him, nothing that was made would be made". John 1:1 states that the Word was with God and the Word was God; unity.

Extra credit: 1 Cor 15:24-28 also talks about the end, when Christ will deliver the kingdom to God the Father and all things, including Christ, will be subject to God the Father.

Once all is under Christ, there will be no comparing, no thoughts of one people better than another or one person better than another. We will all be truly equal and content to be so. Our questions about creation and its Creator will be answered and yet I think that with all under one head we will truly be one with creation, no longer will man be have dominion. Unity in man's terms isn't what God intended now or intends for the future. Unity now seems to be what can be an ally with you get me. Unity in God will mean that we all truly have the same end in mind. I want what you want, you want what I want and what we all want is to praise God and not ourselves. In Corinthians, Paul is trying to help us understand that our thoughts of unity are not God's thoughts nor our ways God's ways. We will see that all power is Christ's which makes it God's because he is the equal part of the trinity. It sorta makes my head hurt to put all of that into it. I don't understand God's ways and so it is very difficult to see how this will be.

Q2. (Ephesians 1:9-10) What is the significance that all things will be brought under one head -- Christ himself?

Finally after all the ages of God's plan being unfolded and revealed in the earth since creation, He will wrap it all up in the climax of the ages to bring everything under headship of Christ, to whom everything belongs.

How does this relate to the Creator?

Jesus is Creator God..."For it was in Him that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or authorities; all things were created and exist thrrough Him by His service, intervention, and in and for Him. And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist and are held together. Col 1:16,17

What does it say about unity?

He will unify all things....which until that time have been in disaray and disunity...even in the Body of Christ.

Much of His creation has been at war with Him and opposed to Him through the fall of man.

Extra Credit: How does this verse relate to 1 Corinthians 15:24-28?

Wow! How I look forward to that day! The unity spoken of in Ephesians, which will come under His Headship will be consumated at the end or completion when Jesus delivers over the Kingdom to God the Father after abolishing every other rule and authority and power. Jesus will reign with all of His enemies under His feet, including death which He abolished. With all things completed, Jesus will subject Himself to His Father Who put all things under Him, so that God may be all in all...the unity of the Godhead. (I was just overwhelmed with the understanding of the PEACE which will exist!!!! Peace and harmony on every front at last, all things flowing in unison as God intended before war broke out in Heaven, and then the fall of man which brought war between humanity and God and man against man and nation against nation....Wonderful to look forward to perfect peace and to experience life as God planned for us.

The significance of all things being brought under one head - Christ himself - is that through the death, burial and resurrectionof Christ, we will now experience the fullness of God, which without these events would not be there. It shows that Christ is the ultimate ruler and that all things will be subjected to his authority and rule. Christ is the key to our redemption, as we are instructed through the Word that we must come to God through Jesus.

This therefore relates to the Creator, because it comes back to the point that everything was created for the glory of God, in other words, everthing begins and ends in Jesus Christ.

This shows how important unity is in the body of Christ and how God intended us to live. Background or our past lives does not affect the ultimate purpose of grace, which places all born again Christians equal in Christ - into the same inheritance - through redemption, guided and directed by Christ Jesus. Not only that, but if we are not in unity with Christ as the head, then we fall outside of his rule and therefore have no place in the Kingdom of God.

This verse relates to 1 Corinthians 15:23-28 because it shows that ultimately everything has been placed under the authority of Christ. It also shows the unit between God the Father and Christ the son and that through Christ, God is in all. I think it brings across the importance of unity, not just in the Godhead, bu in the relationship between Children of God and Jesus, adn therefore brings a clearer understanding of the phrase "in Him" - which emphasizes that we as Christians cannot effectively operate separate and apart from Chist.

Christ is the ruler of the entire universe so it is fitting that all things should be under Him. We all belong to Him and our differences will then be gone; we shall all be together undr His beneficent rulership. The Creator made us all and loves us all so it is right that we finally be in one body. There will be the unity that we so sadly miss here with our race conflicts, political differences, and religious differences. No more dissension-only blessed harmony.

Corinthians speaks of the end times when there will be no more ruling except that of God when all things are turned over to Him and He will rule eternally. I think this is a a passage which is hard to fully understand.

Q2. (Ephesians 1:9-10) What is the significance that all things will be brought under one head -- Christ himself? How does this relate to the Creator? What does it say about unity?

To me, this is about God bringing everything back to where it belongs and where it began, under God, through Christ. It si about everything in heaven and on Earth being united under one god, one rule, who is the creator.

Extra Credit: How does this verse relate to 1 Corinthians 15:24-28? This passage talks more about how Christ will first destroy all other dominion and authority and will defeat all of His enemies, the last being death, and will conclude with all of His enemies at His feet. The power over all creation will then be united under one God who is God the Father, with Christ at its head but under God the Father. I have no idea what this will actually look like in practice, but it is where the whole of creation has been destined by God to go from before the beginning of time. Essentially therefore, this passage is saying the same as the passage we are studying in Ephesians but with more detail.

The significance, or importance that all things will be under Christ is about unity. The mystery is Christ in me, the hope of glory as Paul states in Colossians and the unity of all believers being of one mind which is Christ Jesus is wonderful.

Everything will be "unified" together in Christ just like it started and how it should be. Just like the father the son and the holy spirit are one so also should Christians be one body united for the same purpose. It speaks of how all things will eventually be put under God and the enemy will be destroyed and there will be no more seperation but all unity and one nation under GOD!

2a)Jesus is the centre of all things, being the centre of history both bc and ad and the heart of all creation. When man sinned it gave a foothold for satan. Jesus came &won it back from satan by his death & resurrection. He(calling himself son of man) took back authority over the earth and returned it to those who love him by giving them authority in the Name of Jesus.

b)Gentiles and Jews are brought together as God

The significance is that God is creator of all things. Not just the beleiver is brought under his authority but those who do not believe will find out just how and who created this universe and all that are contained in it and will be judged accordingly. It is so incredible I can scarcely take it all in but the word states that Christ has all authority which has been given to him by his Father God and in the end days Christ will have dominion and authority to destroy all that has not fallen in line with the Father. After he has put every thing into order (God is a God of order) then God will take over the reigns and be our all in all!!!

Christ is The Sovereign King of all Kings He is the creator of all things and he is the head, The king of all things!!! All persons whom belong to Christ must stay together under his command, we are to be UNIFIED by Him,our King!!

Christians must stay unified - simply put : together we stand, divided we fall! There is Christ POWER in the WORD of GOD if we stand in unity to Him, we can further His Kingdom and His word, The Gospel here on Earth!

A)"..that He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on Earth- in Him." WOW! We are under the King of Glory's domain! We are bringing "Thy kingdom come on Earth as it is in heaven." In all aspects of family, government, healthcare, animal husbandry, in every aspect of dominion on Earth; it is to show Christ the King. Bring back the forsaken garden-of-Eden with Christ as the architect. Adam's sin is dead. Christ is back...in us!

B) This relates specifically to the Creator because we will create according to God's master plan. We will govern, teach, heal and farm according to His will "according to His good pleasure". We are joint heirs with Christ, creating His kingdom on Earth.

C)We have unity because of His blood shed for us. We are part of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. What it speaks to me is that if we want to remain "in Christ", we need to remain set-apart/holy as saints and faithful in this; this is the premise for unity with the Creator. We are to "remain subject to Him" so that Christ, as the head, will bring all things to perfect fulfilment.

The significance that all things will be brought under one head -- Christ himself will everything be summed up, "all things in heaven and on earth." Christ is to be the all and in all, the sum of the parts.

In relation to the Creator he is the creator of all things in heaven and in the earth and he recapitulate everything he does in Christ who is the head of the Church.

About unity since we the Church under the headship of Christ we all are united in him.

In relation to 1 Corinthians 15:24-28 it means Christ is all in all and everything is subject to his authority. Death has no authority and power over him.

The significance that all things will be brought under one head -- Christ himself is that we are the body of Christ and he is the head of the body. He uses the body to accomplish what he wants to be done on earth. Everything both in heaven and on earth are under his headship.

This relates to the Creator because Jesus and his Father are in perfect unity with one another. There is no secrete between them.

Since we are the body of Christ we form part of the unity that exists between them.

This verse 1 Corinthians 15:24-28 because Christ is the head and everything is subject to him.

The signifance of everything being brought under the control of Christ is that He will control everything. He is Lord of Lord's & King of King's. There is nothing that He allows happen that He doesn't have control of.

He made everything for His good pleasure. Nothing that He created was bad. We were made for His enjoyment. We were made to worship & praise Him. That is what we were created for.

It says somewhere in ??Paul's writings?? that as far as we are concerned we are to be in unite with each other. Therefore we need to be united in the essentials & tolerate in the unessentials.

Christ will be victorious over Satan & the world. They will be brought under His feet & then Christ will give them over to God the Father so that they can reign together. God will be the one who allows Christ to control everything because of His perfect life & sacrifice that He provided.

1. The significance of everything coming under Christ is that the fulfillment of God's plan is Christ himself. Before the foundation of the earth God's plan was for Christ to come to earth and become the sacrificial lamb--even before Adam fell from grace. All the Laws set down by Moses were just shadows of what Christ would fulfill when he materialized as a human being.

2. This relates to the Creator because as the Word, Christ was the first thing the Creator created. He spoke and Christ as the Word came into being. As the Word He was the very essense of the Father--one and the same. God is Light. Light is energy. When energy begets energy they are the same. A part of God is in His Word and His Word is a part of God. There is no separation, they are one.

3. Just as stated above. They are one. One is unity.

4. I Corinthians 15:24-28 says basically the same thing as Ephesians 1:9-10. When the end of the age comes, after Christ has fulfilled everything, then He and all His redeemed will be finally reconnected with the Creator. This is as it was in the beginning.

Q2. (Ephesians 1:9-10) What is the significance that all things will be brought under one head -- Christ himself? How does this relate to the Creator? What does it say about unity?

Today, the world is splintered into factions of people and powers who have their own peculiar concept of who and what Christ is. On that day mentioned in Ephesians 1:9-10., the reality of who Christ is will be made manifest when Christ will bring all peoples and powers, including death, under Himself and leave no doubt that He is God. Christ will then present this His realm to the Father who is over all as expressed in 1 Corinthians 15:24-28

The significance of all things being brought under one head – Christ himself is that we know that everything that we had been following is now under Christ. The law is now under Christ along with all the holidays. This relates to the creator because we know that Jesus was fully God and fully man and now everything has been brought under Him.

This says that with this unity we should all be united.

This verse relates perfectly with 1 Corinthians because they are using a different analogue it is still saying the same thing.
