During His life, Jesus was abandoned by His friends, treated like an outcast, whipped, ridiculed and crucified cruelly on a cross between two thieves. I think He suffered most when God turned His face away from Him because of all the sin that was piled upon Him.

We suffer because of Adam's sin and also because of our own sin. Jesus, who is our Lord, suffered, and what He received, we also receive.

All creation seems to be suffering because of Adam's sin. God said "The land will be cursed and all creation will suffer", and so it did.

The end of the downward cycle of suffering will occur when Jesus returns in Glory.

In this present life we look forward to Jesus coming back to us. We have to have hope - we cannot live without it.

My hope is in Jesus.

Love from Greta

Q2. (Romans 8:17-22) In what ways was suffering Jesus' lot in life? Why do we suffer? Why does all creation seem to be suffering? What will signal the end of that downward cycle of suffering, decay, and death? Is there anything good to look forward to in this present life?

Jesus had to suffer because of His mission on earth, which was to make payment for all of man's sins, past, present, and future. We are also suffering, because of our sin and the fallen condition of man. The coming of the end of this suffering will be with the return of Christ. In this life, we need to live as Christians, and know that in death we will receive life.

He suffered because of our sin. He had to suffer to save us from damnation and to give us eternal life with him.

We suffer because Jesus death is in us and so that we may live like him. Suffering is growing pains, these are to help us grow become the children of God. That we may correct or wrongs.

It will end when Jesus returns for us then we will be risen to Glory with him and all this mess and suffering will be over.

Creation seems to be suffering because of its bondage to decay, brought about by Adam and Eve's sin. That sin and our sin which made suffering Jesus' lot in life. The end of the suffering will begin with the return of Christ, a renewal, the deliverance of a new era.

Jesus suffered in this life by not having a place to lay his head (home), by constantly being surrounded by people wanting his attention, he was tempted, mocked, flogged and crucified. We suffer because of fallen mankind. Creation suffers because it was cursed when Adam and Eve sinned. The end of this suffering will be when Jesus returns. The best thing we can look forward to in this life is taking as many people with us to Heaven as we can.

Q2. (Romans 8:17-22)

In what ways was suffering Jesus' lot in life?

Jesus forsook His glory to become human. That is the first part of His suffering, the depth of which we have no idea. Then He submitted to human parents, and that is the easy part. The hard part of His suffering seems to revolve around His passion and death, yet I believe the most difficult was dealing with ignorant humanity which seemed incapable of learning what He had to teach them (us), although it was delivered with all His heart of love. Finally ignorance brought Him to the cross of suffering, yet even so there were those, like the Roman soldier and Pilate, who had some perception of what was happening, but no power to set things to rights.

Why do we suffer? Why does all creation seem to be suffering?

We suffer because all creation has become corrupt, and everything that is done here has corruption at its heart. Until the Lord comes again, this will be so. Even so,the Spirit of God is able to move in the corrupt creation to bring forth the sons of God. This is miraculous.

The balance of creation was distorted when man fell into sin. If the sun were a bit further away, or the law of gravity changed just a little bit, or earth's temperature went up or down a small fraction, everything would disintegrate, because the balance of things is so physically perfect. But the physical is not the only factor of creation. There is also the spiritual factor. Unlike the physical factor (so far) the spiritual factor has got right out of wack with man's moral and spiritual wrong choices, and upset the whole spiritual and physical balance of life, (because the physical and spiritual are integrated within creation). So, all creation waits for the balance to be set right, which will happen when Jesus returns to earth with a rod of iron to put everything back in order. We are in the middle of all this, which is why we suffer until the time appointed. Yet, even in our sufferings, we have the resources of Heaven available to us to help deal with it, just as Jesus had. How amazing is that!

What will signal the end of that downward cycle of suffering, decay, and death?

The return of Jesus in all His glory will signify the end of sufferings and intolerable depravity on this earth. He will come and cleanse everything, and set the balances right again. The dead in Christ will rise first, and His glory will be established on earth as it is in Heaven!

Is there anything good to look forward to in this present life?

Yes Sir! We suffer, as did Jesus. If we did not suffer, then we would cease to look to Jesus, so suffering is a technique to redirect our thinking back to Him. This gives us the opportunity to enter into His suffering and become part of His great plan to redeem all things. Meanwhile we have the wonderful Word of God which sets us at so great an advantage in this life, for it shows us that we have God's miraculous power within our grasp for dealing with the trials of this life. We are not left to fend for ourselves, but are surrounded, undergirded, protected, changed into His likeness (even before the day!) by His love and power in every part of our lives. What is more everything works to our good, for so God has decreed.

Jesus came to Earth in flesh, and suffered all the things that humanity suffers, so that He could understand our groanings and complaints. Then whenever He talks to The Father on our behalf, He can know what we are experiencing and plead our case accordingly.

We suffer because we have not been delivered yet from this sin-riddled world. We, along with everything that God made, are deteriorating, and waiting for deliverance

We look forward to being taken to be with Jesus, and all of God's creation will eventually be delivered and/or recreated to be the way it was meant to be in the first place.

Q2. (Romans 8:17-22) In what ways was suffering Jesus' lot in life?

To pay the price for our sins and because of His love for all humanity.

Why do we suffer?

We suffer sometimes because of our faith, and sometimes because of our sin, and so we can relate, just a little, to what Jesus went through for all of us and so we can share in His Glory.

Why does all creation seem to be suffering?

The effects of sin

What will signal the end of that downward cycle of suffering, decay, and death?

The return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Is there anything good to look forward to in this present life?

The coming of Christ.

Jesus knew that He came to earth to suffer and die. He graciously chose this path so we can have a way back to God. Because of the great fall of man, everything here now dies and decays. We are not going to stay in this condition. We can look forward to the day Jesus returns to restore all to it's original, intended condition.

Jesus' lot was suffering in the sense He died on the cross to break the bondage of sin over us. All creation and human suffering is consistent with the story of the fall of man. The earth has been mortally wounded due to Adam's sin. Because of Adam's sin, all creation has been locked into a condition of suffering, death, and decay to the extent of groaning and pangs of childbirth.

The Messiah's death broke the bondage of sin over us; however, it will take the Messiah's return to break the earth's bondage to decay and decline.

Yes, hope springs eternal and we have great causes for rejoicing!

The tribulation of this troubled world is ephemeral. That is why we should worry about nothing and pray about everything.

The glory of God that we will share some day gives us hope...

"And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us." (Romans 5:2-4).

Jesus was sent by the Father as a sacrifice for us, His life on earth was chosen and He lived it out according to Gods will. We suffer since we chose to be disobedient to God. Creation seems to be suffering because it was given to man, so for a time we are in charge and I do not think we are doing all the great with it. Suffering decay and death will end when The Lord returns and we all answer to Him. Of course there is good to look forward to. We may not be sinless or doing great with creation but we have Gods Word, Hope, love, His mercy and His grace. We have all His blessings our families, friends and we have our lives to live. Being a live is good, it is what we do with it, how we spend the time we are given, be still for a bit and see what beauty is around you. You may see someone surrender to God, you may be a part of something good and never know it just thru prayer, oh and there is always looking forward to the time our Lord returns. Praise and glory belongs to our Lord Amen!

In what ways was suffering Jesus' lot in life?

Scriptures tellus that He took upon Him the form of a servant, He became as the hymn writer says the servan King, in that form he suffered more than we can understand, many have suffered in this life most horrible things, thankfully we have a Saviour who not only suffered but He also understands us when we suffer.

We suffer because of sin, we suffer in a way that draws us closer to the master our dependancy increases during trails and suffering.

The sinful world in which we spend this passage of time in, only knows the workings of sin and is clearly lead by sinful means and directions.

We can only ever know a sinless state when we are with Him and are like Him.

Come Lord Jesus Come.

Thankyou Lord for saving me.

Rom 8:17 Since we are his children, we will possess the blessings he keeps for his people, and we will also possess with Christ what God has kept for him; for if we share Christ's suffering, we will also share his glory.

Rom 8:18 I consider that what we suffer at this present time cannot be compared at all with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.

Rom 8:19 All of creation waits with eager longing for God to reveal his children.

Rom 8:20 For creation was condemned to lose its purpose, not of its own will, but because God willed it to be so. Yet there was the hope

Rom 8:21 that creation itself would one day be set free from its slavery to decay and would share the glorious freedom of the children of God.

Rom 8:22 For we know that up to the present time all of creation groans with pain, like the pain of childbirth.

Jesus suffered from the day He was born up until the day He died. He lived a life that He knew would end in sacrifice for the very ones that hated Him. He had no home to call His own, His very family did not believe Him and though Him crazy at times. One of His closest friends betrayed Him for money and the one stating that he loved Him the most denied Him at a time when He needed those close to Him. This has not even touch on how He died, in pain, alone, seemingly defeated, hated and in one of the most horrendous ways possible. Jesus's life was that of a suffering servant. We should be proud to suffer because we are hated because He was hated. Today their is suffering in all of creation because of the fall. When Adam and Eve chose to sin they began the torment that would follow all created things. This will not end until the return of Christ. I guess for many there seems to be nothing to look forward to in this life, but then again it would depend on what you think as good. There will be bad things happening until the return of Christ but if I lived my life just thinking on that, what is the good in that. God gave to me joy and I will find joy in many of the things God gives me daily. My family, the nature that God created and all it's beauty, the fact that I can learn and most of all learning about my God. I also have the knowledge that in the end Jesus is coming back and with that an end to all suffering...no more pain, no more tears, no more death...but until that day I will rejoice with my Lord.

Q2. (Romans 8:17-22) In what ways was suffering Jesus' lot in life? Jesus suffered in many ways. First, He suffered by giving up what He was and becoming a man. Then as a man he continued to suffer, and ultimately suffered the ultimate pain and humiliation of death by crucifixion.

Why do we suffer? We share in Christ

God sent Jesus to die for our sins, so suffering is implied in His life. We suffer because we are on earth; in Heaven we won't suffer. All creation isn't ALWAYS suffering, but some people sure do seem to have more than their share! Not sure of the "why", but God has a plan. "no one knows the day or time" when Jesus will return, so I don't expect a signal of the end. God's purpose for us on earth is the build the relationships He gives us, to use our gifts for His glory; I think those are the things to look forward to, until we go to Heaven.

Romans 8:17-22 In what ways was Jesus's suffering lot in life? He suffered when he took on human form because humans suffer. Then, He suffered when He died on teh cross. Why does all creation seem to be suffereing? It's because of sin in the world. What will signal the end of that downward cycle of suffering, decay, and death? When Jesus comes back to claim us. Yes, there is good to look forward to in this present life, and that is the coming of Jesus. Also, the Holy Spirit is with us in everything. Jesus said he came to give us life more abundantly.

As the result of one man's transgression, sin entered the world and all creation have been accursed with suffering. This suffering, however, is not a mere punishment, but also a preparation for the perfection and glory that is to come. It's God's way of tilling the ground for the planting of the seed. In suffering, we look forward to eternal life "that will be revealed in us", brought by another Man's sacrifice. Jesus suffered that we may share with Him eternal life after His triumph over sin. Our present sufferings, then, shall unite us with Him that died for us so that we may be reborn with Him in eternal life. Do not lose heart, then, for a glorious future awaits us! We shall reap what we sow.

Rom 8:17 And if we are children, then we are heirs; heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ; so that if we suffer with Him, we may also be glorified together.

Rom 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the coming glory to be revealed in us.

Rom 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creation waits for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Rom 8:20 For the creation was not willingly subjected to vanity, but because of Him who subjected it on hope

Rom 8:21 that the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Rom 8:22 And we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now.

Jesus was persecuted, humiliated, verbally abused and eventually crucified for us on the cross. We suffer because of our sinful nature. Creation is suffering due to Adams sin and mans continuance to live in sin, we have to put the old sinful man and nature to death.

The return of Jesus Christ will signal the end of this, our surrendering to Him and Him alone will bring an end to it all. We can look forward to eternal life in Christ and to be delivered from sin/corruption.

Q2. (Romans 8:17-22) In what ways was suffering Jesus' lot in life?

Suffering was Jesus' lot in life because He came to be a sacrificial lamb for the redemption of mankind.

Why do we suffer?

We suffer because of the fall of man (Adam and Eve). Suffering is part of the curse that came as a result of the sin.

Why does all creation seem to be suffering?

Death and decay also came to the animals because of man's sin. And further suffering of creation is due to man's errors.

What will signal the end of that downward cycle of suffering, decay, and death?

The end of the downward cycle of suffering, decay and death will be the return of Jesus Christ.

Is there anything good to look forward to in this present life?

In this present life the only good thing that we have to look forward to is the return of Christ for the Church.

Jesus suffering was to die on the cross for our sins. We suffer from the time when Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden fruit. The spiritual link that was between God and man got separated and the world fell into death and decay. But we as children of God shall be freed from the decay and the spiritual bondage with God can be reunited by His grace and our love for Him.

The signal to the end of the downward cycle of suffering, death and decay would be when he announces his children and we can look forward to too the freedom in Christ and everlasting life.

He came to suffer so we don't have to suffer in hell.

We suffer because of Satan.

Because Adam listened to him, we all still suffer the consequences.

The end is when the world stops.

This is when Jesus comes back.

It is good to look forward to heaven because this will give us hope.

Q2. (Romans 8:17-22) In what ways was suffering Jesus' lot in life?

ANS - Suffering was an integral part of Christ's life, both during his life, and at the end of his life. Isaiah 53 is an awesome chapter in the Old Testament which prophecies the coming of Christ and his sufferings. Psalms 22 and 69 prophecy of Christ's suffering upon the Cross.

Why do we suffer?

ANS - To allow His character to be developed within us. Also, to reveal his love, his compassion, promises, and faithfulness to us. The fact is, there is sin in this world with all its far reaching affects, which, since we live in the world we as believers cannot escape. Just think of the atrocities of war. Wow. Also, as we suffer we identify with His suffering. We can know that no matter what we go through He also went through. And we can know that as He achieved victory in His sufferings so can we.

Why does all creation seem to be suffering?

ANS - Because of sin in the world! It began to suffer after the fall of Adam and Eve, when sin was allowed to enter the world. As mankind does, so does creation groan because of the sin in the world.

What will signal the end of that downward cycle of suffering, decay, and death?

ANS - Christ's return to this earth!

Is there anything good to look forward to in this present life?

ANS - Absolutely. To enjoy the blessings of living for Jesus in this present life. As believers we are not under the bondage of sin, but are set free from sin, and life can be lived as God intended it to be, to its fullest. John 10:10

In what ways was suffering Jesus' lot in life?

Jesus was rejected by those around him...the people in His own town thought he was nuts. He was wounded for our sin...by paying the ultimate price for us...death on the cross.

Why do we suffer?

We suffer because that is really part of our life...it is necessary to help in our growth and when we suffer we become more Christlike.

Why does all creation seem to be suffering?

All of creation is suffering because we are on that downward spiral since the fall of the first Adam...and only lifted out of that pit by the second Adam...our Lord Jesus.

What will signal the end of that downward cycle of suffering, decay, and death?

When Christ Jesus comes back to this earth the cycle of decay will be broken by His love and mercy.

Is there anything good to look forward to in this present life?

Yes....I am a saved person and will wait for my Jesus. I want to serve Him here by my love toward others...I await His triumphant return.
