Q3. Obedience and Deliverance

Recommended Posts

GOD COMMANDED TO MOSES AND ARRON AND THEY COMMANDED TO THE PEOPLE. WHEN GOD COMMANDS US TO DO SOMETHING THEN IT SHOULD BE DONE

IT SHOWS OUR DELIVERANCE TO OUR SAVIOUR. IF WE ARE NOT OBEDIENT THEN WE CAN NOT SAY TRUTHFULLY THAT WE HAVE BEEN DELIVERED

WITHOUT OBEDIENCE TO OUR SAVIOUR WE CAN NOT STAND FOR HIM OR BE A LEADER.WHEN IT COMES TO OBEYING GOD HALF WAY WON'T DO.

IF WE BELIVE IN CHRIST THEN WE SHOULD HAVE FAITH. PEOPLE GET WEAK FAITH. THEY TRY TO FIX EVERYTHING THEMSELVES. WORRY THE BIBLE IS GOD WORDS AND WE READ GOD WORD WE KNOW IT IS TRUE BUT THERE IS STILL ONES THAT DON'T TRULY BELIVE HE CAN DO ALL THINGS

Obedience was important to the people's deliverance because to obey their leaders was to receive God's blessing. By refusing to regconize and obey God's leadership in Moses, disaster would result.

Obedience is important to our deliverance from "sin, flesh, and the devil," because we need to obey God's Word so that we can resist temptation.

I believe if one isn't obedient to God's commands, then one can't be a true disciple of Christ.

If a person claims he is a Christian,but doesn't obey Christ's commands,then he isn't a true follower of Jesus.

God’s promises to the Hebrews were always “If…then”. The things He promised were always unattainable by human effort alone. The people had to be dependent on His leadership, and His leadership always included commands to be obeyed. So this promise of deliverance from Egypt depended on their obedience.

Our own practical deliverances from “sin, the flesh, and the devil” are also tied to obedience. These enemies of God’s Kingdom cannot be overcome by human effort alone. God’s Word is filled with commands to the followers of Christ. Sin is a ruling factor in the natural life that wages war against the inner spirit and can only be overcome by the blood of Christ as we remain in the light of Truth we’ve been given in His Word (Rom.7:17-25; 1 John 1:1-7). The flesh cannot please God and can only be put to death as we yield to the Spirit (Rom.8:8-13). The devil can only be resisted after submission to God (James 4:7). Humble submission and obedience to God are required for liberation and victory in the spiritual realm.

Discipleship is not valid without obedience. It's not about perfection [God already knows we're not capable of that], but about the heart's desire to obey. In the biblical times of Jesus, every rabbi could have disciples - who left everything behind to follow their teacher. They lived and travelled with the rabbi for years to study his interpretations of God’s Word, observe his life applications, and practice his approach to living for God. The focused goal of a disciple was to know what his rabbi knew and live as his rabbi lived. This is our true call as followers of Christ, and obedience to that definitely defines true discipleship.

Q2. (Exodus 12:50) Why was obedience so important to the peoples deliverance? Why is obedience so important to our deliverance from "sin, the flesh, and the devil"? Is there any discipleship without obedience? Does a person who says he believes in Jesus but doesn't obey him have real faith?

With out obedience on their part all would have been for naught and some would have perished. There are rules and consequences in life and if we disobey our Lord we pay the terrible consequences.

Only God can deliver us from sin, the flesh and the devil. If we disobey how can He? It is imperative that we obey implicitily His Will.

There should be a desire to obey and a sincere repentence when we fall short. Our enemy is always trying to destroy us and he knows our weakneses so we will not yet be perfect however we should be growing constantly in our walk and obedience should come with that.

I don't know if he has real faith but you do obey the one you love.

God Bless!

Why was obiedence so important to the people deliverance? Why is obidence so important from sin,the flesh, etc? Is there any discipleship without obiedence?

It was important because moses and aaron obeyed god then the people obeyed what their leaders had said, to obey god and act on it shows obiedence. Soon the blessings was to follow leaders must follow the voice of god, when people recognize it blessings come but if there is bickering only disaster was to come.

2a)Obedient to God’s word is key to receiving God’s blessing. Our leaders hear from God to discern his direction for a church, then lead the people on that particular route.with patience, skill’s of leadership, and then it is the people’s responsibility to obediently follow this leadership correctly, without arguing & stalling any plans.

b)We must not let our pride, making us/our plans be an obstacle, to the direction God has given about which path to follow..

c)Discipleship is life long journey following Christ obeying his commands to us, and daily learning from our failings and growing step by step to be more like the person he wants us to be.by his grace.

d) A person may have sufficient faith to trust Christ as his saviour, but not sufficient faith to trust him with other areas of his life. Faith comes by hearing Romans 10:17we need to grow our true faith daily, by hearing scripture and encouragement of fellow christians to increase our faith.Out of love and true faith in Jesus we will obey him more.

Q2. (Exodus 12:50) Why was obedience so important to the people's deliverance? GOD HAD A TOTAL PLAN, THEY ONLY HAD THE PART THEY WERE ACTING ON. OBEDIENCE WAS NEEDED ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE CONCLUSION. IT IS ALL ABOUT WHAT GOD KNOWS; NOT WHAT WE KNOW AND THINK.

Why is obedience so important to our deliverance from "sin, the flesh, and the devil"? SAME AS ABOVE.

Is there any discipleship without obedience? NO.

Does a person who says he believes in Jesus but doesn't obey him have real faith? NO

Like the old Gospel hymn says -- "trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey."  We can not get results and blessings from God unless we are willing to trust, obey, and follow Him.  God knows humanity and the things of this world don't blind Him.  God is creator.  He created us and knows what is best for us because for the most part we don't know what is best for us.  God has purposed each of us for something.  He knows and we don't.  Again, that is why we must slow down and engage God.  We must sit at His feet and  become his disciples or there is no steady, systematic growth in our lives.  There is no deepened relationship with God unless we listen to Him and obey His command and instructions.  He knows the way.  Jesus said:  I am the way, the truth, and the life ..."

Without discipline and obedience we cannot develop a vigorous, meaningful, and effective relationship with God.  We cannot truly be followers of Jesus Christ without listening to Him and obeying Him.  God knows what we don't and how to live to the fullest in Him.  We don't.  To honor God, others, and to be the best we can be we must listen to and obey God.   Therein lies the blessings and victory in this life and beyond.

Like the Israelites, we cannot save or deliver ourselves we must wait upon the Lord God Almighty and follow His instructions.

God had a specific plan for His people from the beginning. To fulfill God's plan and purpose for our lives obedience is first and foremost. To be delivered of any situation, sin, flesh or the devil it requires that we come into align with God's nature and direction. We cannot confess Jesus with our mouths and have a heart that goes in its own direction. Dicipleship and obedience is the key to deliverance and blessing.

I know one thing is that God says obedience is better than sacrifice and if you love Him, you would keep His commandments.  His laws, commands, etc. are to protect us.  He is omnipresent and omniscient, and He knows our beginning and our end, so it is crucial to listen to Him and obey Him instantly, completely and joyfully because God knows best and wants best for us.  Obeying Him is to our benefit!!! I believe that if we believe in Him and love Him, we have to obey Him.  However, I know even a believer still has that flesh to deal with and sometimes we are disobedient.  However, if we are constantly disobedient and are not bearing fruit that show repentance, salvation, Godliness then we need to realize that we might not be saved.

Obedience was important to the people because it was what God required of them for their deliverance.  We were created to do His will and when we obey his commandments and walk in his word he has promised to bless us and take care of us. God has a plan for his people but only when we trust and obey him and do what he has ask us to do.  Obedience to Him is required and it is not up for discussion or debate.  Every prophet or leader in the bible had instructions from God and when they did not obey, they were punished and things didn't go well for them, but when they obeyed God they were rewarded. The scriptures are the example of the faithfulness of God and what he does for those who trust and obey is word.  Jesus quoted the scriptures, which we call the old testament, during his teachings and his walk on earth because it teaches man what God requires of us and what he has promised and foretold when we follow their example and do what he tells us to do. The bible is full of stories of obedience and faith to God as well as what happens to those who are not faithful and obedient.  It is a road map to heaven.  There is no other way to get to heaven and to be with the Father but through obedience.  It is what He requires of us. When we say we love God and we want to be in his presence and want eternal life, obedience is necessary and the only way.  God said so and his word is the only one that counts...." Not my will  but thy will be done"......    thy will be done on earth is it is in heaven....for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory,, forever and ever...... AMEN!

Q2. (Exodus 12:50)

Why was obedience so important to the people's deliverance?

Why is obedience so important to our deliverance from "sin, the flesh, and the devil"?

Is there any discipleship without obedience?

Does a person who says he believes in Jesus but doesn't obey him have real faith?

They had to obey to be delivered. If they had done their own thing, followed their own plan and maybe not killed the lamb and put the blood on the doors as they were told, then the destroyer would have entered their homes and they too would have had the firstborn killed.

If they had not gotten their things ready to move as soon as they were told they would have been left behind. There was no time then to still run around to do this or that.  They had to have their things packed and ready for their journey out of Egypt.

So it was very important for their deliverance that they were obedient and worked together as one, as a unity.

So too it is of paramount importance that we too are obedient to God's Word, to His leading if we want deliverance from sin, the flesh and the devil.  The Word tells us to "resist the devil",  that is what we then must do. Pointless playing with him, giving in to his lure and think I won't be caught.  I will then be caught in his net.  Steer clear from sin if you don't want to fall for it. Don't tempt it.  Flee from the places where you will be tempted.  Same as giving in to the desires of the flesh ,   stay away from those places!!!!!

If you are a disciple you will follow and be obedient to your leader. If you are not obedient to your leader, you cannot really call yourself a true disciple or follower of that leader.  You are then doing your own thing.

If you do not follow Jesus instructions , you are lacking in faith.  Believing in Him, your desire will be to serve Him and be obedient to His teaching.  There will not be deliberate disobedience, without feeling so incredibly guilty, it consumes you.
