What encourages Daniel to seek God for the forgiveness and restoration of Israel to its homeland? What trait on Daniel's part brings this encouragement to pass?

Daniel studied the scriptures and believed them. He saw that it was close to the time when God would restore Jerusalem and believed the word of God.

The book of "Daniel" is an overlay of the book of "Revelation". Daniel saw what was going to happen to "The generation of the Fig Tree". We became that generation, when Israel became a nation on May 15, 1948. (See Mark 13.) Christ told us to learn "The Parable of the Fig Tree". WE ARE THE FINAL GENERATION!!

Daniel means, God is my Judge, or Judge of God. "Dan" is judge and "El" is Hebrew for "God". (See Strong's Concordance #1841). All of Daniel's prophecy was given when the tribe of Judah,"Jews", where in captivity in Babylon. Daniel saw the "FINALE GENERATION", (meaning us today) going into another captivity to the end time King of Babylon, which today is "CONFUSION" whom he is warning us, that is to say, The anti-christ himself, Satan. Whatever Nebuchadnezzar do, the anti-christ is going to do things similar to that.

Daniel 1

(1) In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalm, and besieged it. (This was in the year 497 B.C., Daniel was 16 years old)

(2) And the LORD gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.

( God, says this in Jeremiah 27:6, about Nebuchadnezzar, "And now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him".)Why did God do this? Because,Jechoniah, made a covenant with king Nebuchadnezzer, and he broke it. Then he (Jeconiah), went to Egypt, to get them to fight against king Nebuchanezzer, and God didn't like it. God uses whomsoever he wishes to, to get his job done. Just Like he is going to use Satan, the anti-christ in the latter days to see who will follow Satan or who will follow God. From the looks of it, there are going to be a lot of those who believe in 'THE RAPTURE THEORY"trying to get to Jerusalem, when Satan is there pretending to be Jesus. God has given him and his fallen angels (5), fives months, to deceive as many as they can, before the "TRUE CHRIST" comes.

(3) And the king spake unto Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the children of Israel, and of the king's seed, and of the princes;

(4) Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding in science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.

Nebuchanezzar loved knowledge, and he wanted the best of the flock from Judah, to attend school, because Babylon was the capital of learning and law, for the world. They needed to be able to speak the language, and be able to handle Nebuchednezzar's business. The four of them were to eat what the king ate, and drink the wine he drank. They were to be taken care of, for three years, and then be brought before the king. The prince of the eunuchs gave them new names, (Daniel was Belteshazzar), (Hananiah was Shadrach), (Mishael was Meshach), and (Azariah was Abednego). Daniel asked, asked not to be fed what the king ordered them to eat, because he didn't want to defile himself, instead he asked for pulse to eat and water to drink for ten days. (they were unblemished when they came, and they wanted to remain that way).

(17) As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

(18) Now at the end of the days that the king had said he should bring them in, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.

(19) And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king.

(20) And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.

( This is NOT the type of people that Satan is going to be looking for when he comes, and sits in Jerusalem, for that five months, These type of people are called 'GOD'S ELECT', in the latter days.) Are you one of God's Elect?, do you know what God's overall plan is? This is why Daniel was praying for the children of Israel, and all the nations, God was showing Daniel just how it was going to happen to us today. Are you one of the 7,000 who will not bow a knee to Satan? (Seven means spiritual completeness). Or has man got you believing in the RAPTURE THEORY? No one is going to be flying away. Daniel is telling us not to listen to the Traditions of Men.

(See Ezekiel, 13:20, God speaking) Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.)

Now you know if God has said it, it is definetly true. NO ONE IS GOING TO FLY UP OUT OF HERE!!

Daniel 2

(1) And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep brake from him.

(2) Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and the astrologers, and the sorcerers, and Chaldeans, for to shew the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king.

(These are the types of people Satan is going to be looking for when he comes and sit in Jerusalem for the five months. All the false teachers, the false preachers, drug dealers, fortune tellers, those who can't pay their bills, need a new house? a new car?, He's going to put a chicken in every pot, if you worship him. All of the religions of the world, are going to believe he is their god.

This is not going to happen to God's Elect, they are going to be just like Daniel and his friends. They know who he really is and they are not going to be deceived, by Satan and his cronies. We know he's going to be here to steal all the souls he can, because he wants them to go to the pit with him! I pray that you are not one of the ones who will be deceived by him.

(13) And the decree went forth that the wise men should be slain; and they sought Daniel and his fellows to be slain.

(17) Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions:

(18) That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with rest of the wise men of Babylon.

(19) Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.

(This is what we all should do when we don't understand something, go to your Father in heaven. Ask him to tell you the secret, ask him to open your eyes, and your ears, give you wisdom and understanding, to know what his plan is for the last generation. He's going to show Daniel and we are going to see what it is he's telling us also.

Keep in mind that whatever happened in Daniel's time is going to happen to this last generation. You have to study all of Daniel to understand his reason for praying the way he did. Daniel was seeing what was going to happen to us, "The Generation of the Fig Tree", in the latter days.

Daniel has read in the scriptures that the 70 years of Babylonian capitivity is about to come to an end.

He becomes encouraged by this.

Daniel had been a student of God's Word since his youth. Plus he was a faithful intercessor thruout his life even when it possibly meant losing his life.

Q1. (9:1-3) What encourages Daniel to seek God for the forgiveness and restoration of Israel to its homeland? What trait on Daniel's part brings this encouragement to pass?

Daniel knew that he was gifted by God in a supernatural way. Deciphering dreams for the kings and explaining thier meaning was not possible by any normal person. So when he studied Jeremiah's prophecies and knew they were about to be fulfilled reg the return of the Israelites to thier native land, he knew he must go to God and beg for forgiveness on their behalf. God was a merciful God and He would surely forgive the sins of Israel and restore thier homeland to them. So the knowledge that this is the right time to approach God and prepare Israelites for the return home encouraged Daniel to seek God for forgiveness.

His ability to interpret dreams and forecast the times made Daniel take the steps to go to God for forgiveness and prepare Israel. He was putting his talents into good use. God had given those talents to him and he was using them for His glory. How many of us have talents that God has given us. But we hide them and are sometimes not aware of their existence. May God give each one of us the discernment power to introspect and find out how we can serve our nation through God given talents.

What encourages Daniel to seek God for the restoration and forgiveness of Israel to its homeland?

l. Daniel was a student of the scriptures , and had confidence in the prophet

Jeremiah. He knew what Jeremiah prophesized would happen. He also knew

that God was a merciful and forgiving God who would forgive Israel if they

came to Him in repentance.

2The trait that brings this encouragement to pass would be his upbringing

in the ways of the Lord God Jehovah. He took a strong stand against bowing

down to false images, at the cost of his life. He knew that the consequences of not taking a stand would bring a judgement upon him and upon the nation of Israel.

Daniel knew from the scriptures that God has spoken to Jeremiah that the desolation of Jerusalem will last for 70 years and he has faith that God will be fullfilling his promise and this is the reason why he intercede for all the people of Jerusalem for forgiveness of sin.

Daniel is a man of prayer and he brought everything to God. He knew that sin is a transgression to God, He also have faith that God will listen to his prayer and forgiveness will be granted so the scripture will be fullfilled

What encouraged Daniel to seek God for the Forgiveness and restoration of Israel to its homeland is he believed God's promises for His people to return and he also trusted that God will forgive people's sin.

This lead for Daniel to take this burden upon himself that is to intercede and plead with God on the basis of God's character

Daniel, understood by studying the word through the writings of Jeremiah that Jerusalem would be desolate for 70 years. He therefore rightly knew that the time of captivity was drawing to a close and that God would call His people back to their home.

By being a broken and contrite spirit, humble before Adonai, Daniel knew that a gracious and merciful God would be moved to honor His word.

Daniel is encouraged to seek God for the forgiveness and restoration of Israel to its homeland by a promise from the Word of God. God wants us too, to be aware spiritually of the signs of the times, His promises to us in His Word, and to pray faithfully in response to what He has revealed to us. He reveals spiritual needs and His work to us, not just so we know or for our curiosity, but rather, so we can get on our knees and pray, fighting the spiritual battle. He wants us to join Him where we see Him at work, and one way we can do that is through prayer. The trait on Daniel's part that brings this encouragement to pass is his faithfulness and sensitivity to the Lord and His plans and desires. He had a true heart for God and God's ways. He was in the Word and in prayer faithfully, not out of duty, but because he had a heart to the Lord.

Father God, may we be more like Daniel. Give us a heart for You, and then reveal Your will and desires to us so that we may pray faithfully. Show us new things out of Your word. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Q1. (9:1-3) What encourages Daniel to seek God for the forgiveness and restoration of Israel to its homeland?

Daniel was encouraged to seek God for the forgiveness and restoration of Israel to its homeland as he realized the seventy years of captivity was nearing an end. The prophecy of Jeremiah, the prophet, is just about to be fulfilled. And Daniel, believing the promises of God, prayed for Israel that God would forgive their sin and enable them to return to their homeland.

What trait on Daniel's part brings this encouragement to pass?

Daniel was an intercessor, he believe that God answers prayers and therefore in times of concern he took the petition and presented it to God.

Q1. (9:1-3) What encourages Daniel to seek God for the forgiveness and restoration of Israel to its homeland? What trait on Daniel's part brings this encouragement to pass?

Daniel is reading Jeremiah and understands that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years. So he turns to the Lord God in prayer and petition and fasting. A prayer of confession on behalf of Israel.

A major point in the first three verses is that Daniel was reading the Scripture. It is important for God's people to consistently be in the Word of God searching the Scripture for what God is doing in our day and preparing for the second coming of Jesus Christ. From Genesis to Revelation, Holy men and women of God have searched the scriptures for prophetic application in their day and age. We should do the same.

Q1. (9:1-3) What encourages Daniel to seek God for the forgiveness and restoration of Israel to its homeland? What trait on Daniel's part brings this encouragement to pass?

He knows the scriptures and that their time in captivity is almost at an end, He realizes that to be God's chosen people they must confess their sin and ask God's forgiveness so as in Egypt He will lead them from captivity to a new place of peace and that they must be right with God from their suffering to end.

He is devoted to serving the Lord and Him only so he has no problem in fasting and prayer to God for He know that He will be true to His promise if Daniel and the people turn to Him and repent of their sins.

Q1. (9:1-3) What encourages Daniel to seek God for the forgiveness and restoration of Israel to its homeland? What trait on Daniel's part brings this encouragement to pass?

Daniel had faith-he believed that God would answer his prayers. Because he was persistant, and humble, his prayer was answered. This is really a very good example for us. If we are steadfast, not wavering, believing in God, He will help us! No matter what the circumstances, God loves us, and wants to be in control of our lives. Come Lord and control my life! Gloray!
