God had respect and regard for Abel and for his offering,.God had no respect for Cain or his offering, Cain became very angry and indignant, I think he was also very jealous that God held Abel with great respect and regard. He took Abel to the field, and it was there that he killed him. He was driven with Anger, he was malicious and wicked. Abel was Righteous.That is why cain hated him. He was Motivated by the evil one. The world hates the Righteous,because they love their fellow Christians. He who dose not love remains in spiritual death, anyone who hates his brother is a murderer,and no murderer has eternal life abiding within him. Because his own actions were evil these made his living a life not pleasing to God. God rejected his offering over his brother Abel. Thinking and acting of the flesh Cain naturally resent Abel. If sin goes unchecked it can lead to anger and ultimately to murder. The world depends on their own way of life. They do and act as they like and always feel they are better off than anyone else. Whereas, we believers of Christ are taught that we are in the world but should not be conformed to the world. (Romans 12:2) When we seek to live righteously, it exposes the sin and corruption of those not committed to Jesus, stimulating both shame, anger, hatred - and persecution energized by a spirit of murder. Cain resented Abel because his righteousness and favored sacrifice to God, it showed that Cain was not giving his best to God. The sin of jealously and anger consumed Cain to the point of murder. The saga is a picture of how worldly people rise up against us when they see a life of righteousness. People who are morally upright expose and shame those who aren't. He did not examine his own way of life and correct it so as to be in favor with God. Instead, sinful, he murders his brother out of jealousy. He is probably angry at himself but seeks to hurt another who might instead serve as a lesson and example to him. In the same way, the world, who might use Christian living, abiding in the Lord and living according to the Lord's commandments, as a mirror to examine itself, feels threatened by Representatives of God. So, when they brought their offerings to God, He knew that Cain was not giving out of respect and love-he was giving because he felt he had to. Abel, on the other hand, really loved God, and gave with a willing heart and mind-therefore, his offering was accepted by God, and God was pleased. This caused Cain to be angry and jealous of Abel. And that, in turn, caused Cain to kill his brother! Because Abel was pleasing in God's sight, and Cain was not, this caused Cain to see the unrighteousness in his own life. This is why the world hates us so much! We are a constant reminder that the world is not right in God's eyes, and so they want to get rid of us-avoid us. As it is, you do not belong to the World, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you." When we are chosen out of the world, we are annointed by the Holy Spirit. From that point on, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are righteous as we strive to become more like Christ. The world sees this and the righteousness itself shows up the world's evil. In living this way Cains way of living which was not righteous showed.Cain killed Abel because Abels works were righteous and his own were evil. Abels` own brother hated him because Abel walked with God and Cain did not. The same is with the world, those who walk with God the world hates, for it shows them where they are wrong since they "THE WORLD" do not walk with God. It makes a sinner angry when we feel like we aren't good enough. Our anger causes us to sin (murder) where a child of god would recognize God loves us all the same so no one is above another. The world hates us because they have anger in their hearts. Holding anger is a sin and (anger) sin causes to hate everyone even inside of us is a big as sin is can multiply. Cain resent Abel because Cain was evil, so he killed him because he was of this world and not righteous like Abel. If you are of this world you will be like this world but if you are born again then you are like Jesus. If the world hated Jesus it will sure hate you. It is clear that hungry and greed to be important in the eyes of others are things of the world. When we offer our best to God in all things than it will be excepted but if we offer even our pray that is not pure and not in Jesue name we are not giving our best. Cain killed Abel out of misdirected anger. He was angry with God and took it out on Abel. Abel was striving to honor and please God whereas it appears Cain had a different approach. Cain was angry with God over rejecting his offering and even after God personally counciled him on how to make things right he took his anger out on Abel and killed him. He did it because his brother was good, and he was evil. 1Jn 3:13 My friends, don't be surprised if the people of this world hate you. 1Jn 3:14 Our love for each other proves that we have gone from death to life. But if you don't love each other, you are still under the power of death. 1Jn 3:15 If you hate each other, you are murderers, and we know that murderers do not have eternal life. Cain resented Abel because Abel had found favour with the Lord. We are not totally sure what it was that Cain did but the Lord at sacrifice time favoured Abel over Cain as there was sin in Cain's life. Out of jealousy and bitterness Cain killed his brother. Because of Abel's actions Cain's sin shone bright and that is what happens when we follow God's laws. Our righteous actions bring to the forefront the sins of the world. Cain was trying to serve two masters and God didnot like it. Abel was living a righteous life so his gift was acceptable to God and not Cain. The spirit of jealousy arose in Cain thus killing his brother. The world will always be judgemental toward christians, mainy its their way out of living a righteous life. In other words, if they are christians and sinning then its ok for me to continue in sin. Cain killed Abel because he was jealous of him. Following this line of reasoning, it would seem that the world hates us because it is jealous of us? Sermons I have heard in church teach that only a blood sacrifice is acceptable to God, and that Abel should have exchanged some of his produce for one of Abel's lambs and then sacrificed the lamb to God. Being born with a sin nature in a cursed world, we are inclined to quickly become offended when we are denied or rejected in anyway, especially when we feel we are giving up something of ourselves. Why did Cain kill Abel? Cain must have seen Abel as a threat to his own relationship with God and therefore, he removed the threat. Cain allowed the spirit of jealousy to get a grip on him. This jealousy opened the door to hatred. This hatred lead him to take action and this action was murder. (This is why we cannot mess around with sin, it opens too many doors to the devil.) The world does not fully understand the consequences of sin, therefore they enjoy sin and even welcome sin into their lives. Abel and Cain were like lightness and darkness. We are all human beings, but some of us live in the light and others prefer the dark. Some are of God and others of the devil. The dark hates the light because the light exposes the dark. Since God will later accept grain offerings in the Old Testament,it probably wasn't Cain's sacrifice itself that He rejected. Rather Cain's offering was probably rejected due to his unrighteous actions and sins. Cain killed Abel out of jealousy. He hated that Abel was more righteous than he was. Instead of attempting to clean up his sinful life,Cain chose to slay his brother. Cain resented Abel because God had approved of Abel's sacrifice and it caused Cain to feel jealous and eventually murderous. Cain knew better. He knew what the correct sacrifice was....blood shed by an animal, which Adam and Eve found out when God had them dispose of their fig leaves and God gave them the animal skins which was the God-approved covering for sin. I'm sure that Adam and Eve told Cain and Abel about the correct offering to God. So Cain chose to come to God for forgiveness on his own terms....by what he had done....his occupation, etc. As Cain hated Abel, so the world hates us because of Jesus. The world, incited by the demonic against Christ, refuses to give God the correct offering and hates those of us who do. They want God on their own terms....by their own works...and they do not want to give over their lives to the Lord. So they hate those of us who do. But Abel was just the opposite. Cain killed Abel because he was jealous because God accepted Abel's offering and rejected his: Genesis 4: 6And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? 7If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. The illustration puts the light on why sinful people hate those who abide by the law. Clean living manifests, clearly, the contrast between good and evil.
