Q1. Credibility and Resurrection

Recommended Posts

Q1. What kind of credibility would Jesus' ministry have had if he were not raised from the dead, especially when he predicted it ahead of time?

His ministry would have had no credibility at all. The Word of God would be in question.

In what way is the resurrection God's seal of approval on him?

The resurrection proves everything that Jesus said He was. He is the Son of God.

Jesus’ ministry would not have had any credibility to it if His resurrection from the dead was not true—especially the talks to His disciples about His death and being raised up from the dead in 3 days—but it all was true and He therefore showed that He is the Suffering Messiah since He had predicted exactly what would happen to Him several times to His disciples and others. His resurrection is God’s seal of approval on Him because it shows that Jesus indeed died for all of the believers in Him for all of our sins; the burial once-for-all times of our sins; and because He was raised from the dead so we believers too are risen from our former dead, sinful lives onto the new, eternal lives that the Lord gives to us. And some day (maybe soon) He will also raise us bodily from physical death to living eternally in our new, resurrected bodies in the presence of our Lord in heavenly glory. So His resurrection is not only a sign of God’s seal of approval on Him but it is a sign of His seal of approval upon us as His children as well. Amen!

When you predict something that doesn't become true, that means that you're a false prophet.

Besides this, a dead Jesus can't do all the things He promised - like preparing us a place in heaven and judge us on the last day.

With the resurrection, God showed that Jesus spoke the truth and that we can have hope in Him.

Jesus' resurrection was proof positive that He was who He said that He was, and that all His promises would come to pass. What is the test for a prophet? If his prophecy comes to pass, he's real-if his word doesn't come to pass, he's a fake. Jesus is no fake! Everything He said would happen-happened! Glory!

Everything about Jesus would be a lie. He would be a liar. He would not be God, but just a man. Our faith would be empty and powerless. We would remain in sin and completely lost. The resurrection is basic to our faith, and without it our church founded on Jesus Christ would disintegrate and eventually cease to exist. It would all have been a sham. God by raising Jesus from the dead authenticated everything about Jesus Christ. He is alive! He is our Lord and Saviour! Hallelujah!

All would be lost. It would be a lie.

God has never lied, and has always keeped his promas. The flood = I will never do that agan = rainbow promas.

If He did not keep his promas I would not have this chanch to do this study. We simplely would not be hear. He would have ended us all when the first nail tuched his skin, or even the first hit He took. No! God does Loves moor than we deserve.

Jesus would have had no credibility if he had not been raised from the dead. He would just have been a poor deluded man whom thought he was special or he would have been a complete liar knowing that what he was claiming was false. If He lied about this then we would have to discard all else that He preached as lies since we cant just pick and choose what to believe. God was pleased with the sinless life of Christ and accepted His life as the final perfect sacrifice and Jesus therefore was able to defeat death...and guarantee us eternal life with Him and His Father...thank You Jesus

JESUS CHRIST SON OF GOD.

JESUS HAD TO GIVE HIS LIVE FOR US AS A DYING WORLD.HE DID WHAT HIS FATHER WOULD HAVE HIM TO DO.I THINK THE SEAL OF APPROVAL WAS GIVEN BEFORE THIS WHEN HE TOLD JESUS MY SON

If Jesus did not die on the cross the Christian movement as we know it would not have exsited, the peolpe of the time would have fallow Christ untill his death, but there would have been no prof that God approved of Christ, by raising one has no doubt that Jesus concord death and God approved of him.

Jesus' ministry would have no credibility if he had not been raised from the dead, especially when he predicted it ahead of time. As Paul said, our faith is meaningless if Christ had not been raised from the dead. We ill be miserable human beings on the face of the earth.

The resurrection is God's seal of approval on him because God himself through the Holy Spirit during the baptism of Jesus announced to the whole world that Jesus is his beloved Son we should acknowledge him.

If Jesus had not been raised from the dead his credibility would be fake.

The resurrection has been God's seal of approval on Jesus. Jesus conquered death and it no longer has power on us.

Jesus's credibility would be not good. The ressurrection is a seal for god's approval because if jesus did not come back then he must have done something wrong, but he came back so he did what he did correctly.

Q1. What kind of credibility would Jesus' ministry have had if he were not raised from the dead, especially when he predicted it ahead of time? In what way is the resurrection God's seal of approval on him? Without the resurrection His credibility would have been difficult to maintain for his disciples but perhaps not impossible. But since Jesus had predicted his resurrection, if it had not happen He would have been considered as a fraud and the faith would have died right there. "And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins." (1 Corinthians 15:17)

In what way is the resurrection God's seal of approval on him? It authenticates Jesus claim and proves He really is Christ. He has conquered death and is our Savior.

There would have been none. It would have been totally meaningless as the word of God would have been said to be untrue - no one would believe the Bible or any of His predictions. All Christian hope of salvation would still be in the grave if he never resurrected and we would all still remain dead carrying our sins. Jesus' resurrection is God's seal of approval of Him in the sense that if Jesus had not risen then He is not the Jesus Christ the son of God whom the Bible preaches. His death and resurrection reconcile us to God. Amen

Ans. There would be no credibility to the ministry of Jesus Christ; it would be considered a hoax. There would be questions regarding the word of God. It has to be an act of God to show that all He said would happen came to light. Many witnessed Jesus resurrection, because He was seen by many, so He validated who He said He was and all His teachings.

If jesus had not risen from the dead, no one would have placed his faith on him after his death. But he was risen to the glory of God.

His resurrection was a seal of god stamping his comfirmation that Jesus was indeed the Messiah.

Jesus would have been labeled a liar and untrustworthy considering He predicted it ahead of time. Also, for us there would be no hope of eternal life, just a burning hell for our sinful souls. For me that thought is scary.

Jesus' resurrection is God's vindication of Jesus' life, ministry, person, and divinity. Jesus died as a criminal but was tortured worst than any criminal. Because of Christ obedience to the Father, He laid down His life for us and God raised Him from the dead on the third day. God said, "this is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" (Matthew 3:17).

Jesus' ministry would lack credibility if He were not raised from the dead.  He predicted it ahead of time.  I do not think those that heard the prediction really understood all the implication of the resurrection ahead of time.  However, if Jesus had not risen they would not have believed.  Those that remembered Jesus' words knew when they seen the tomb that He indeed had risen.  God's seal of approval was in resurrecting Jesus.  Only God can raise someone from the dead and by His doing this He said, "I am well pleased."

I feel that a lot of the credibility as lost the day that Jesus died. A lot of people had followed Him for His teachings. They had hope in a new type of relationship with God. They believed in the heart and soul of the lessons. There were sparks of new ways of thinking that I do not think would have been buried with Jesus. I feel that the teachings would have grown in these same people even if Jesus had not risen.

But here we go, Jesus rose from the dead. God had a new covenant with the people who believed in His Son; first as the son of man, but now the Son of God. The spark has turned into a blaze. And there is a new unstoppable movement. Men know that they may die, but that does not stop them. They know they are on the side of God.

What kind of credibility would Jesus' ministry have had if he were not raised from the dead, especially when he predicted it ahead of time? He and His disciples/followers would have had zero credibility. 1 Corinthians 15:17 “And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; you are yet in your sins.” The resurrection of Jesus is a testimony to the resurrection of human beings, which is a basic tenet of the Christian faith. Our faith would be useless and we are not forgiven or saved; satan wins- everyone who has died believing in Christ would be in hell. There would be no such thing as having a personal, intimate love relationship with Creator God. Our personal devotions would be imaginary and useless. We would be a slave to whatever our sinful nature desires. In 1 Corinthians 15 Paul gives six disastrous consequences if there were no resurrection: 1. preaching Christ would be senseless (v. 14); 2. faith in Christ would be useless (v. 14); 3. all the witnesses and preachers of the resurrection would be liars (v. 15); 4. no one would be redeemed from sin (v. 17); 5. all former believers would have perished (v.18); and 6. Christians would be the most pitiable people on the earth (v. 19).

In what way is the resurrection God's seal of approval on him? The Resurrection  proved that Christ was divine by fulfilling the prophecies of His death and by His return from the grave. His authority and power was confirmed to break the bonds of sin and to assure forgiveness and eternal life to all who accept His gift of salvation. The Resurrection revealed Christ's power over death and satan.

I do not think His ministry would have had any credibility. Everything He said would have been questioned and the religion would have died slowly.  I have been taught that the miracle was not the cross but the resurrection. When He came back God signed His signature of approval on His Sons earthly ministry, we have a place in heaven now.

Q1. What kind of credibility would Jesus' ministry have had if he were not raised from the dead, especially when he predicted it ahead of time? In what way is the resurrection God's seal of approval on him?

A. Jesus's ministry would not have been credible if He had not been risen given His earlier prophesy of His resurrection. People would have just forgot Him and moved on.

The Lord God Almighty declared at Jesus' baptism that He was His Son in Whom He was very pleased. But the evil world crucified Jesus thinking they had silent Him for ever. However, the Lord God raised Him to the shame of the evil one and placed Him in a place of honour at His right hand confirming that which He had declared about Jesus as His beloved Son in whom He was well pleased.
